Hi, I use Elementor for my site and am trying to place an Elementor contact form inside one of the door popup modal windows. It displays correctly but when I hit the submit button it just closes the popup modal window. How do I get the form to still process without the modal closing?
Hi there, the Elementor contact form probably won’t work since it’s also based on custom javascript which is a little bit tricky inside the modal. Can you please try Contact Form 7? That should work. Thank you!

Hi, this is along the same lines, but it seems like if I style the door’s content within Elementor, the Elementor styles don’t display when the door opens in the modal view (but they do in the other views). Is there a way for the modal to recognize the Elementor CSS?
Hm, are you using external CSS or inline CSS in elementor settings? With inline CSS you might have to copy out the styles out from the source code that elementor applies on the door page (e.g. www.yoururl.com/door/1) and copy them over to the door post itself. That might be a workaround.
Elementor creates a CSS page for each page and links to it within the page. I’ve been adding a link to the related CSS page within the content as a workaround, but I was curious if SantaPress could just pull in the CSS for each door automatically.

Now we want the video to be directly playing if you open the doors. How must this be done. If I insert my Video at the moment I have only a link in the popup screen. The videos are on the wordpress media library.

Also when I click on the only active door, I get a message saying “Sorry Santa has disabled this door” and all my “blocks/pages” have this message and do not show any other text.
I think I’m just going to uninstall it… Too much of a headache

I am using wordpress with DIVI theme. It works fine on mobile as I know. But e.g. in Safari or sometimes other browsers it does that with opened windows.
Hi there, this is actually a bug that should have been fixed in 1.3.8 version of the plugin. You can also try this CSS code, that should fix it: .blocker { transform: translateZ(1000px); transform-style: preserve-3d; }

Hello! I was using standard wordpress embedding (just paste url). Now on door 1 I used iframe embedding from Youtube and it still just flashes and disappears.
There was lazy load for videos and iframes on WPRocket and that didn’t work with calendar plugin. Problem solved, I think!

Hi there, actually I was able to reproduce this issue with certain themes. As a quick workaround, can you try to include the contact form 7 shortcode on the door’s post content and make it invisible, e.g. [contact-form-7 id=”XXX” title=”Contact form 1”] (and wrap it in a div with style=”display:none”). That did the trick for me. But I’ll be working on a bugfix for that. Further I found this issue with contact form 7 (https://bensinger.me/contact-form-7-fixing-wpcf7-initform-not-function-error/) – but for that you’d have to edit the contact form 7 js file which is not ideal. Der Bugfix betrifft nur die Option “Disable Past Doors”. Sollte heute noch das 2te Türchen nicht anklickar sein: Option 1. Haben Sie ein Caching Plugin – wenn ja, bitte die Seite mit dem Kalender hier als Ausnahme hinzufügen. Option 2. Die Türchen bauen auf WordPress Scheduled Posts auf. WP_CRON muss dafür aktiviert sein und darf nicht deaktiviert sein. Falls es hier Probleme gibt hilft evtl. das Plugin weiter: https://wordpress.org/plugins/scheduled-post-trigger/.

Hallo. Ich habe jetzt die 1.3.9 eingespielt.
Allerdings bleibt jetzt nur Türchen 1 anklickbar. Wenn ich Disable past doors. deaktiviere kann ich Türchen 2 anklicken.
Wenn ich nun wieder Disable past doors aktiviere, ist Tür 2 wieder zu und bei der Vorschau heißt es “Santa diabled this door”
Irgendwas scheint noch nicht sauber zu laufen.

Hey. Also nen Link kann ich dir geben. Nen Login nicht. Da der Kalender auch live ist kann ich die Änderungen nur auf meinem Testsystem, testen. Wenn du den Fix hast, könnte ich den erstmal einspielen.
Hey. Habe jetzt das Problem eingrenzen können. Der Kalender schaltet das nächste Türchen immer um 1 Uhr Nachts frei. Ich habe kein Cache aktiv. Gibt es irgendwo im script ne Zeitabweichung?
Es liegt an der Zeitzone. Wenn ich auf meinem Testsystem die Zeit auf +0 setze geht es punkt 0 Uhr auf. Die aktuelle Zeitzone ist aber +1 UTC/CET
Hallo, seltsam. Im Skript ist keine Abweichung einstellt, da die Türchen die Standart-Einstellung von WP übernehmen. Könntest du mal unter Einstellungen > Allgemein z.B. Berlin als Zeitzone auswählen (kein UTC+1). Hier sollte dann auch die Winterzeit berücksichtig werden. Evtl. ist das noch ein Problem.
Berlin steht drinnen bei mir hatte das zu erst geprüft. Es wird auch alles richtig und pünktlich freigeschaltet. Nur die Türchen net. Aber die eine Stunde ist mir da auch egal. Die Leute sollen nachts gefälligst pennen 
(seltsam ist es schon, ich hab es bei einer Testinstallation getestet, hier wurde korrekt um Mitternacht freigeschaltet, allerdings hab ich auch noch eine andere Seite, auch mit der richtigen Zeitzone, auf der das gleiche Problem auftritt).

Komisch ist ja, die Tür wird im Backend punkt 0 Uhr freigegeben nur im Frontend taucht die erst um 1 Uhr auf. Aber wirklich NUR der Kalender.
Eventuell liegts hier dran aber keine AHnung wie ich es weg bekomme ohne die Zeit aufn Server ggf. zu deaktivieren: Wordpress-EInstellungen: Die Universalzeit ist 4.12.2020 17:52:49. Die Ortszeit ist 4.12.2020 18:52:49.

I have a problem with a view on mobile and laptop too – all doors are under each other. 1 door in line and next one under it. And this in for all dors. When i open the page I see 1 huge door on the srceen. What’s wrong?
It depends on how many doors you have. For 24 and 25 doors there are defaults (for 25 doors you should have a 5×5 grid, for 24 it would be 6×4). However can certainly change this behaviour via CSS: https://gist.github.com/flymke/829326e37c33f3c95517e02af6a2054e

Will we be able to keep Advent Calendars from this year for people to still see next year as we use them for our community to write short stories.
We lose the content on the plugin we normally use each year which is a shame.

Sure. As long as you leave the plugin activated they can still directly go to the door post. E.g. https://www.yourdomain.com/door/1 – Just make sure you don’t have the option “disable past doors” activated after the 25th. Hope that helps! Best
Sorry, I meant for 2021 to be able to create a new advent calendar without losing the 2020 version. Steve
I see. So, as long as you don’t delete the doors you won’t loose them. However you cannot initialize a new calendar when old doors still exists. That’s the dilemma
So what I would suggest is:
#1 You can register a new custom post type (for example with this plugin https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/) and name it door2020. Then you can use this plugin https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/ to switch the post type of all door posts to door2020. Eventually you will have them “backuped” to the new custom post type.
If you have used the quiz functions, you have a to small adjustment in the plugin. I can help you with that if needed.
#2 Next year I am planning on integrating categories to the calendar, this will probably be some time in 2021. But for now I would suggest you go with #1?
Hey there, I’ve set up Santapress correctly and everything looks great in preview mode. The first door went live….but the door link gives a 404 error code and thus doesn’t work either in modal or external link. Any ideas?

Hi, Santapress crashes my website. Immediately after activating Santapress I get only “There has been a critical error on your website.” error messages when trying to access the site.
Deactivating Santapress fixes the issue.
The site is using WordPress 5.3.6 and GeneratePress theme.

Hi, is the doors unlocking at midnight server time ? or wordpress configured time zone ? Seems it is not hopenning the 1rst door right now.
It’s based on your server time. SantaPress uses scheduled posts, a core WordPress functionality which is itself based on a function called wp-cron. If you are having trouble please check your WP settings. Also this plugin might be helpful: https://github.com/sLaNGjI/wp-missed-schedule
THe doors open just fine with cron, no problem, but it still appear grey out on the frontend.
Do you use a caching plugin? If so, please make exception for the page where the calendar is used. If not: Can you send a link (and preferably a login) to envato@halloecho.de? Thanks!
