Is there any chance to have the Album View like 16:9 fixed and the galleries as justified grid ? I tried to disable “Take over and act in place of NextGEN shortcodes” for albums but this does not work as albums do not have this shortcode (maybe in an old version of ngg?). I have like 100 Galleries, and both the same look, does not look very nice for the “menu” / Album view 
Currently there is no way to separate the looks of the index view (albums) and content view (gallery photos), when they are created with just 1 shortcode. These create virtual pages but still use the same shortcode behind the scenes.
For years you needed to insert NG gallery/album into the content of a page/post and that’s what JIG is supposed to take over but we’ll check if this is no longer the case.
Hi, oh that is bad. There is no need to insert gallerys/albums in page/post anymore, there is a overview function, but as the shortcode is just ngg now JIG overtakes this view, too. It would be such a wonderfull thing if there is any possibility to have the album view look another style, as for the “menu” (Albumview) it looks more professional if all gallerie-pictures and Gallery descriptions/photocount/title are the same size. Would be great if you could make this on the wishlist, as i saw meanwhile in search some more people asked for having albums/galleries look different.
Yeah the need is there, but not sure what’s the best way to implement it, what do you propose? Choose a preset / another Grid for the other view? Also not sure how to universally call/name the menu view and the gallery view that works with other sources not just NextGEN.
Most people have problem with captions, like they want it on the menu but don’t have individual captions on the images. There is a custom CSS script that can remove captions (or anything visual extra).
I think, other sources dont have albums, right? Maybe it is possible with the URL Name? Like for example my Album view site is /fotos/ that leads in /fotos/alben/2020/
and everything behind that is an gallery like /fotos/alben/2020/27-09-20-poetry-slam-wehr/
So maybe there could be a setting where users just inserts the URL of the Album site, and can select another grid/aspect ratio for this page?
Maybe for the moment, is there something like the JS/CSS that removes the captions/filenames from the Gallery view, that makes the view of the album like 16:9 grid that i could just implement in the perfect working JS Snippet that removes the captiosn on Galleries?
Other sources have album-gallery relationships, at least 1 level ranging from Facebook albums to Real Media Library’s multiple levels. The custom JS+CSS can hide the caption but not change the aspect ratio (of the inner page).

Automatic latest album is more of a Facebook feature. https://justifiedgrid.com/sources/facebook/latest-album/ But without two separate limit settings (one for the index view one for the inner view) this might also not be what you need.
Ahh ok, well then it is like it is now, maybe you can take a look on this in near future, as this (albums different view than galleries) would be really a nice feature, and i am willing to pay some extra money for that ofcause.
No need to pay extra money, as if this feature is ever implemented everyone can benefit from it as part of an official release. There is no point in keeping it for just one user. We are just not sure how to best implement it so it’s easy to set different view for album/gallery. Also on the technical side, this has to be set up for each content source individually as their url/permalink structures are different.
One more thing, that is not clear for me yet. Showing the NGG gallerys works fine. Is there any direct shortcut to show the albums or to show just alle galleries inside NGG or is the only way to use the album views of nextgen gallery?
Create new Gird then NextGEN tab, Album ID, Overview album (all galleries). If you need an album of all albums, then create a new album and put every previously-top-level album in it. So then you can show the root album with JIG.

I have added multiple galleries to a page with a shortcode like this

When I click on a gallery the lightbox effect shows up with the full image. But it only shows the images in the gallery.
Is it possible to group multiple galleries into one lightbox?
So if I click on the first gallery on the page the lightbox will browse all images in all galleries on that page.
Would that be possible?
I already had a look in the docs and found the link_rel option. Setting link_rel=jig(123) in the shortcode will give all the images the proper attribute but the lightbox always stops at the last image of the gallery.
What am I missing?

JIG is set up in a way to separate itself and its lightbox from everything else on the page (even other JIGs) to avoid conflicts. While some lightboxes are capable of being activated globally, they are not set up this way. We’ll take this request into consideration for future updates.
Currently the best way would be using a 3rd party lightbox plugin that is activated globally (or the one in your theme / builder). Perhaps there is a standalone (unofficial) PhotoSwipe WP plugin version out there, or similar. That’s when link rel and custom attributes come into play.

I am using NGG and the filter function to show different galleries. Works great. Just what i still could not find out is, how can i order the Buttons? Random works great but if i want the same order as in NGG or in integrating (Gallery 8,9,10,11,12) it shows like another order 11,10,8,9,12 – when doing custom order i do not understand what to put in, Title Name did not work and Gally ID like 8,9,10 did not work either. Do you have any sample for NGG?
The filter terms custom order expects a comma separated list of buttons you do want to show, and the exact order. Write them exactly as they appear as buttons, same text, same capitalization. Something like “Gallery 8,Gallery 9, Gallery 10”. This only works when these buttons show up normally, but in the wrong order.

Hi, is it possible to have a html link (for downloading a bigger/hi-res version of the image) within the lightbox, not the thumbnail? So that the user can click to see the lightbox bigger version but then go on to download a bigger/better version of it, without having to create a product etc… We don’t want to sell images, just offer the quality versions for those who want them… Hope that’s clear. thanks AJ
Yes the lightbox caption can show a link that uses a server-side downloader script for the image (not the HTML5 link download attribute). It prompts a browser dialog to save the image, but it’s the same image size you’ve chosen for the lightbox.
Is there any way to hide the FB Like Button, showing only FB Share Button?
Not that we know of, those go hand in hand as served by FB.
PhotoSwipe lightbox only has the share button (without count).
I did send you a bug report regarding NGG (tag gallery display doesn’t work with JIG) a couple of days ago. Can I expect an answer?

Another thing, using the NextGen “Display album and photo count” always shows “xxx Photos” where can i translate this Photos to local language?
It’s translatable but not via a setting. Get this translation plugin with it you can create a lanaguage you need and translate the string(s) you want: https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/
If you like we could log in and change the text for you in the appropriate place.
Once done it’s possible to get rid of the plugin if you prefer. This is also what we use to translate plugins to different languages.

Wow, what a wonderfull plugin, that, together with nextgen, finaly is waht i have been searching for a long time to finaly build a huge fotoalbum site from joomla to wordpress. However there are 3 things i could not find a solution myself yet.
1. in lightbox (prettyPhoto) the translated (german) button (share) from Facebook is half behind the next button right to it. It looks like the size is to small, the button tweet or pinterest is above it half site. Any idee where to add a size of this so it is not getting hidden bei the other buttons half?
2. Special Effects. Is there any place where i can add more Effects? I would love to have a css zoom in effect on hover. I love this alot, like in this test site: https://www.party-amigo.de/event-gallerie
3. Captions. Can i somehow let captions only be on the main gallery view that contains the albums? Nextgen has like Sub-Gallerys. So the “menu” for open an gally can be another gallery – in this “menu” i would love to list Galleryname, Date, Picture Count but not on the individual Fotos (they should just be cear of any caption)
Hi, thanks for the kind words. There are solutions to all those, but all require some custom JS/CSS.
1. It’s not possible to detect what language your visitor has for Facebook so we had to default to the width of the English button. If you know your audience needs a larger button then you can add this Custom CSS (you might need a larger number in it):

Yeah our target audience is English language users. If we were to increase the width of the button area by default, then there would appear too large of a gap for everyone else.

It works fine but there is no dedicated Divi module for it yet. So you just use a centrally-created shortcode wherever you need it.

Thanks Depends on which content source. JIG doesn’t have many hooks but if you have an idea we can add some in the appropriate places. For WP media library content you can use custom fields. They don’t need to exist as it’s possible to generate value for them on the fly, like this: https://justifiedgrid.com/support/faq/can-use-text-captions/ So in a way this acts like a filter.

JIG-FB connection doesn’t need any kind of app review/verification, you use the API as a developer with your own profile and pages. IF this verification is for an app to reach the “reviewed” or approved status, then that’s something you don’t need to do.
