Pre Sale question. We are currently testing your free version (Version 1.9.9) and see a bug in the main Media Library view… The category filter only works in the Grid view. When you are in a list view and filter by a category from the drop-down menu at the top it shows no results. However, when you are in a list view viewing all items and click on the category link of a specific item (in the Categories column) it works. If I can get this to work on the free version I would be happy to purchase the license. Please advise.
The grid view applies the filter automatically after selecting a category. In the list view you have to click the button ‘filter’ after choosing a category. (Unfortanelly this is the default way WordPress works).
Yes, I am clicking the “filter” button after selecting a category from the dropdown, thats how I get “no media files found” as a result… meaning all images are gone when I select a filter with text message that nothing found. ALSO after I do that and select “view all categories” (and click filter) the page only shows 22 images (I have 122 and had page view set to show 100 per page) and no “next page” arrows or options. It’s definetly not working right. Can you test it on your end?
It sounds like an issue in combination with another plugin.
Hello i need to create a slider for one image categories, and i need to create in same page, 3 diferents galleries for diffrentes categories, but first limited 3 images, second limited 5 images and third limited for 2 images.
Maybe you can do something with the category tag in the gallery shortcode? I don’t know if there are any other options in the slider.
no. i don’t explain well. I need a gallery with filter category and limit image OR slider with same options. Can i configure your plugin to do this? thanks a lot
There doesn’t seem to be a limit option (or something likewise) in the gallery shortcode https://codex.wordpress.org/Gallery_Shortcode We also did some research but it only seems to be possible by doing some custom PHP overrides. Sadly we can also not find a slider (plugin) which does the job you want.
Hello, i like to buy it but i need to show filtered images and limit number of images in the filter. Por example: i have 20 photos about Bred, but i like to show only the last 5 photos in filter mode. Is this possible with your plugin?
thanks a lot
You can filter the images with our plugin and limit it (for example the last 5) with the buildin limit function from WordPress (located under screen options at the top right of the library page).
Does the category filter work if i use it on Elementor images?
Yes it does
Hi Jeffrey. I have a question before I buy the plugin. I have alreday added categories to my images. I use the same categories as WordPress does (such as in posts & pages). In the meantime, however, I don’t like the fact that the same categories are used as in the posts. Now I am looking for a possibility to remove the different categories from my 20.000 images. Is this possible with your plugin?
Yes, you can use separate categories for media.
REDACTED
Please have a look at the WPML settings at WPML -> Settings -> Media Translation -> [check] Translate existing media in all languages
Hello your article doesn’t work with the Dor theme, so it’s of no use to me because the filter function doesn’t detect the images I categorized via your extension.
Thank you for refunding me because your extension is of no use to me.
Hi, you can request a refund at https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/ We will make sure it will get approved.
Hi there,
Would there be any way to only show files that are uploaded to certain categories? Or change the the initial view to show images/videos/documents from X category? I want users to only be able choose from certain, curated assets on certain posts. Was wondering if there was a hook I could use..
Maybe in combination with a member plugin or to redirect the user after login to the desired category page in the library.
Hi
I would like to transform 150 images from my gallery into a publication.
I just downloaded your premium plugin, I managed to change the category of the images, but when I use a porfolio plugin to filter the images, nothing is displayed. It doesn’t work. how can I do it?
Which portfolio plugin are you using?
A pre-sales question. I want to be able to categorise PDFs in the media library and importantly then be able to show a dynamic gallery on a page/post filtering by category. Will this plugin help with this in any way? Thanks in advance.
Yes it could help, but maybe you have to do some custom programming to fully make the gallery dynamic.
Would the premium version of this plugin allow me to see these files on the front end of this page. Looking for something that would let people click through to the actual documents. Right now i just go to a post page and cant see any of the files when i click on any of the items under media files.
https://msalliance.wpengine.com/documents-new/You could try to do this with the category attribute in the gallery shortcode? You can also try this with the free version, please read How to use category in the [gallery] shortcode?)
This is still not working for me. What am i doing wrong?
What happened, I see that all data is now gone? I think the best solution is to put the links separately on the subpages. Or search for a download / filemanager plugin. My plugin is mainly intended to categorize media in the backend. And you are wanting to do document management in the frontend.
I want to link to the files on the frontend and i keep getting a page for the category without any files.
Wouldn’t this free plugin be something to be better suited for your needs? https://nl.wordpress.org/plugins/download-manager/
I am currently using your free version to replace the “Enhanced Media Library” plugin which has been abandoned at WordPress plugin library.
Wanted to say the switch to your plugin worked seamlessly, thanks.
This brings me to ask a question regarding a purchase:
Questions
1. Will your premium version of this plugin easily update your free version, without having to go through a fresh install and setup process?
(I ask because there is no premium function setup in the free version to do that automatically.)
2. Does updating your premium version work the same as WordPress themes from ThemeForest, which uses the Envato plugin?
3. How many websites can install from a single premium purchase of the plugin?
Thanks.
1) Yes, you can disable the free version and enable the premium. All settings are the same and restored. 2) Yes. 3) Officially one, but there is no check on how many sites it’s installed on.
Wow, that was fast. Your like another developer Andon (which is a compliment).
Ok, so to switch to the premium is merely installing it like any other plugin, activate it, (no need to reset things because the taxonomy settings are in WordPress media settings page), then deactivate the free version, and all is set.
I can then set up the connection in the Envato plugin to get updates for you plugin, – sweet.
Thanks
Thank you
I have just installed premium.
I use the Mailster newsletter plugin. When I want to insert a image into a mailster custom post I click Media Manager. I expect Media Manager to give me the ability to filter by category. Actually there is no change to the Media Manager screen and I cannot filter by category.
You can see this issue here. When I create a normal post (not Mailster) then the filter by category option IS present.
I bought this plugin to make inserting images into my newsletters easier. How can I make it work?
It has started working now at least for a new post. I guess that something somewhere was caching…
Ok, thank you for letting us know everything is working
Hi! Is it possible with this plugin to List all media in a category (list with link for downloads) on a page using a shortcode?
No, that’s not possible. You can show a image gallery filtered on category (and in combination with a third party plugin a download link).
Hi Jeffrey! A quick pre-sales question – is your plugin Multisite compatible? Cheers, Marsha
Yes, it’s multisite compatible.
Hi, Wordpress is telling me the plugin is not valid when I upload it. Please help!

Hi, you have to unpack the zip file first. It contains all files like documentation and the installable zip file. You can upload the installable zip file in WordPress.
Hello, when I try to do bulk select I only get the delete option. I have several categories created, I can select the categories if I do one image at a time.
I see that it works under list.
Yes it’s only available under list
Hi there
Will this plugin work in combination with a form (such as Gravity forms with media library extension) so that when someone uploads a pdf via the form, they can select a category for it or behind the scenes, a category can be applied to it within the forms settings?
Hope that makes sense
Richard.
Hi Richard, the plugin by default has no integration with Gravity Forms.
Does the category filter also available on WooCommerce Products when adding Featured image and Product Gallery?
Yes, it’s fully compatible.
I am not happy with the limitation of this product – please refund my purchase cost – I am deleting this product 91eb943b-529b-4b89-97db-e78461b7f130
