Is it possible if I embed live stream video and boost my website to increase video live stream views. it will violation with FB policy?
Sorry but I am not sure what exactly you want to ask. However, the plugin does not violate any Fb policy. Thank you.
This no longer works for pages. You need “This endpoint requires the ‘pages_read_engagement’ permission or the ‘Page Public Content Access’ feature” which is only available if you have a LIVE APP. In order to have a live app, facebook requests that you or your business be Verified and they are currently not verifying people because of covid so if you don’t have a business you’re out of luck. Also, they ask to see how your app will utilize the API and since I don’t know because it’s a wordpress plugin, it’s hard to tell the Facebook App team.
The plugin works and no, there is no need to go through the App Review process. You must be an admin of the Facebook page and the App being used. Please follow the installation guide to the dot. For further assistance, please use the item support form to send an email to our technical support.
Thank you.
The plugin works fine for my user account and facebook group, just not any of my facebook pages. I get that error when I try to create shortcode. Is it possible that I only halfway set it up properly?
Yes. First of all, update the plugin to the latest version because a lot of things have changed recently in the Facebook permissions and APIs. After that, do the following:
Due to new changes in Facebook APIs, now Facebook app have App Types. Different App Types have different permissions available. Currently the App you use with the plugin, should be associated with none of the App Types.
Please go to developers.facebook.com then App Dashboard > App Review > Permission and Features > Looking for additional permissions and features and click the Remove App type button. After that, login on the settings page of the plugin and then go to each of your embed code configurations and just re-save them without making any changes.
Make sure your Facebook app is in Development mode.
Ok, I just had to “Renew Access Token” on the plugin back end and select the pages that I wanted the plugin to have access to. I suppose I’ll have to do that each time I’m made an admin of a new facebook page. Seems to work now.
Yes. When you want to add a new Facebook page, you will have to follow these steps. Glad it worked!
the last two weeks during our live stream we are receiving the error: “Video Unavailable” Video can’t be embedded because it may contain content owned by someone else.
Please make sure that the videos have Prohibit Embedding deselected in the settings. Also, Facebook is not allowing embedding of videos where free Facebook music is being used. A couple of customers had the exact same issue. For further assistance please use the item support form to send an email to our technical team.
i get error “Invalid Scopes: user_videos. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions" when i want to login to facebook on the plugin

We are having a weird issue happen all of the sudden where the plugin (or something) seems to cache the video(s) that were first pulled in when the shortcode was created. See https://www.harmonychurch.cc, the video is from october, we put out a new video every week. I’ve tried clearing cache on all plugins and turning off cache on that shortcode, but still same issue….
Hi there,

Hi, How to embed scheduled live facebook? Thanks.
Hi there, Sorry for the late response. When the video goes live on Facebook, it works with the plugin just like any other live video.
does this works if we are using a buddypress and it picks up each member’s FB live feed into the buddypress content page?
No, it does not work like that. Only a single user can login to their Facebook account in the WP admin.
When I try login in this plugin, Facebook shows an error: Invalid Scopes: user_videos, pages_read_user_content, pages_read_engagement. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissio
Hi there,
We have just responded to your email.
When I am going live on Facebook, Video is not working properly on a mobile device (the play button is not working) but in the website, it is working properly. Please help
Please contact us using Item Support form and provide more information about your website. We will be able to help. Thank you.
If a live video embedded page, already opened, and then I going live on the Facebook page. But no live video showing until I reload the page.
The live video currently requires a page refresh; this was done on purpose to keep minimum load on the hosting. However, the site wide notification bar is already Ajax based and appears automatically. The best workaround is to use Site Wide notification bar and link it to the page where you have put the live embed code.
Not looking for support. I am looking to renew and purchase new for a client. I need to know if we can use this to display multiple LIVE video stream on different pages. Example: Page1/Video Stream for one client, Page2/Video Stream for different client, and so forth for about 9 clients and their pages all in wordpress and the client uses Elementor. So basically 9 clients all have a LIVE stream and we want to put each stream on a page. Will your plugin work for this?
The plugin supports only a single Facebook user account. Videos of multiple pages can be embedded but the logged in user must be an admin of each of them. Thanks.
Understood and I do have access to each page as admin. So your saying this will work for me to use on one site, but show different LIVE streams on different pages all within the same site?
Yes, you can create Embed codes for each Facebook page and place them on your website. However, Site wide notification bar can only be configured for a single Facebook page.
Got it. We don’t need the notify function. These are landing pages for my clients that has clients that have LIVE streams, so we want to show case when they are LIVE it shows up there. Simple but yet I have not found one to work from muliple FB pages with multiple LIVE streams.
I have been using this plugin for over a year now. I have been noticing recently that whenever the page admin goes live on the page, the live video is not showing on the website. Right now, the page admin is LIVE and the live video is not showing on the website. Please help
We have responded to your email. Please provide more information in the reply. Thanks.
What role do you need to assigned to a Page/Group/User in order for this script to work? Do you have to be an admin of the Facebook Page, or can you be assigned an Editor Role on Facebook and that will still work? I ask because some clients might be cautious of providing admin access to their FB page, and may just be comfortable adding me as an Editor.
You have to be an admin of the Facebook page in order to access page data. What you can do is that you can add your client as an admin of the Facebook app you create and then ask them to login to Facebook on the settings page of the plugin.
Thanks.
Hello, 1. can the live videos be watched from mobile? 2. Are the facebook comments visible?
Yes live videos can be watched from mobile. No, comments are not visible. Thanks.

Hi there,
We have responded to your email. Please check.
Since Facebook changed its app development rules within the last year or so, will this now require us to create an app and then have Facebook approve the app first before using it? If so, will you help with app approval (giving us the answers for each questionnaire that will most likely result in approval, showing the steps, etc)? Back then, you can use apps while in development mode, but now any app needs to be approved to go live. Just trying to see if this is going to create such a hassle.
We are constantly updating the plugin and documentation with the ever changing standard and APIs of Facebook.
There is no need to go through the App Review process in order to use this plugin. You just have to follow our Installation guide while setting up the plugin.
Thank you.
I try to connect to my facebook account in the second step of the configuration but it returns the following error:
Invalid Scopes: manage_pages. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions
What can I do about it?
Hi there,
Which version of the plugin are you using? This issue was fixed in an update.
I really have a problem with the video lives, it takes about 30’ min to show in our website. We follow step by step, but nothing working fines, only with recent video.
This looks to be a cache related issue.
If the page is cached, the caching plugin will serve a cached version of the page instead of the fresh version.
All caching plugins have options for exempting certain pages from being cached. Please use that option and exempt the page where you have put the Embed code from being cached.
Instead use the cache option inside Embed code configuration which is available for Recent Live and Uploaded videos. Live videos have a builtin cache to minimize API requests.
Please feel free to contact in case of any issues.
ok, thank you, I will let you know if it’s works
I trye your solution for the cache, but still nothing…
Please contact us via Item Support email and provide WP admin access. Thanks.
ok
How do I update the domain? It says it’s already installed on this domain. It says it’s installed on an ip address of 34.83.1.222 which just redirects to the domain I want this installed on which is https://www.forwardchurchfamily.com. Please advise and/or update!
Please try now on your live domain. Thanks.
