I’ve loved using this plugin for year. It’s been such a reliable solution for our parish’s livestreams. Unfortunately, we recently started getting the “SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate” error like others have mentioned, and it’s completely broken our live video embeds.
I understand that extended support helps fund maintenance, but it feels disappointing to have a critical function stop working without at least a basic patch or communication to long-time users. I’d really appreciate any guidance on fixing this, even if it’s just pointing us to the updated file or a workaround.
I’d be happy to share positive feedback once it’s resolved — this plugin really has been important to our ministry’s online presence. Hoping someone from SleekAlgo can reach out directly so we can get this working again soon.
Hi there,
We completely understand your concern. The plugin has been in the market for almost 10 years now, and we truly appreciate you being a customer since 2020.
While the plugin purchase was a one-time payment, ongoing maintenance and fixes require active support or an updated license. This particular issue came up recently due to changes outside of the plugin itself (server/SSL environment updates), so we had to invest development time into creating a fix.
Since your purchase in 2020, you’ve had several years of uninterrupted use, but continuing to provide fixes and updates is only possible when we receive ongoing support from our customers. That’s why we ask for a renewed support/license in order to share the update.
We’d be happy to guide you through once support is renewed — it ensures we can keep the plugin working properly for you and all other users going forward.
Thank you for your understanding.
Having the same SSL issue as of late even though our site has had a SSL certification for years. Please advise! Thanks!
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please contact us using the Item Support form.
I did last week and haven’t received a response. Thanks!
Please renew support and send us an email. Our technical team will be able to fix the issue.

Surly if theres a fix send it out rather than having to spend $80 (more than the plugin cost to get this working?

I’m receiving this error message on both the front end/public site and the back end Social Live Video Auto Embed Settings pages: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate. This site is and has been running on HTTPS for years and this error is specific to the Social Live Video Auto Embed plugin. Running version 4.1.0, which appears to be the latest. Please advise. Thanks!
Already responded to your email.
work?
Yes the plugin is working. Please download the latest version and updated user manual.
The Demo site is down. Can you get it updated so that I may check out a live version?
It’s back up now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We are looking for support for “The saved user access token is no longer valid.” Have continuously received “Sorry, something went wrong” from Facebook. Have been trying to contact via email and support on this site.
Please contact us using the item support form and provide more details about the website. We will be able to help. Thank you.
Hello! On the notification bar is it possible to show a mix of static content like “WE ARE LIVE” and a variable content – the title of the Live Video? For example: WE ARE LIVE: “Donald Duck Interview” Thank you
Hi
It’s currently not possible but we are adding it in our list of features for the future.
Does it work well with LiteSpeed Cache Plugin? Is there a way to clear cache when I go live? Thank you
We would like to use this plugin for an online newspaper. Right now we have a solution where we need to add the url of the live video and click submit but we would like something that will make this on auto pilot.
We will add the plugin as a widget on all pages, so the cache needs to be clear on all website and doing this manually is hard to pull of because the admin is not always online when the live starts.
I have found this article but I am no programmer. https://blog.litespeedtech.com/2018/04/18/purging-litespeed-cache-via-wordpress-hooks/ .
Is there an easy way to clear site cache every time Facebook goes live or offline? Some function I can add in functions.php so it does not affect future updates maybe? Or any other method that you understand and I can use to clear that cache?
Thank you.
Best regards
Clearing cache of the whole website will also impact the site performance. We can build a custom solution to make it work without the need of clearing cache. Please contact us at contact@sleekalgo.com
Hello. I’ve sent you an email. No response so far. I have tried to activate the plugin but: Response Error, contact with the author or update the plugin or theme
We have responded to your email. Please provide more information there.
Done! Thank you
Our site also stopped pulling new videos and only shows older ones.
Hi there,
Please send us an item support email and we will be able to help.
Our website no longer displays the most recent Facebook livestream videos from our Facebook page—only older videos. Please advise what could be wrong or what we should check. Thank you.
We have responded to your email. Please provide more details over email. Thank you.
Still not resolved. Please advise.
It could be page cache of your website. Now we see that the latest videos are there on your website page https://www.floresvilletx.gov/government/meeting-videos/
I’m taking a site live with the plugin, need to change the key the domain is associated with, how do I do that?
Hi there, please deactivate the key on old domain and then use it on the new domain. If you don’t have access to the old domain anymore, please contact us via email.
Hi, my license does not work, can I get some help with it?
Hi Mike, we have responded to your email.
Have any working demo? I’m not sure how it works but can admin upload pre-recorded videos and be able to respond to people’s comments?
No. The plugin only works for embedding the videos autmatically. All videos will have to be added from Facebook.
Do you have a standalone version of this? Just need for html/php page without wordpress…
We will have to create one for your needs. Please contact us via contact form.
Hi, this is a preorder inquiry. When the current FB live stream has ended, would it show on the page as the most recently recorded video? Thanks!
Yes it’s possible. It’s in the FAQs how to achieve it.
Thanks!
i sent a mail to you for license key deactivation. i changed my domain. please look at it and attend to it urgently.. thank you
We did respond to your email same day. Thank you.
I put a shortcode on elementor popups but Livefacebook doesn’t work.

We are working on integrating YouTube as well. It will be available in the future updates but currently we do not have a timeline for it.
Thank you.
My user access token is no longer valid. When using the plugin’s link to FB, I keep getting “Something went wrong.” Please advise. I have a screenshot of the issue.
Sorry for the late response. We need to investigate the issue. Please provide us WP admin access via email.
