I purchased your plugin but I have an issue with it When the user goes on my website in the page where I put the code it send the person directly in the facebook page to go and see the live instead of letting the people stayed in my website. I want the people to stay in the website to watch the live without giving them option to go the facebook page. There is a way to do so?

Thank you very much for contacting us.

I have responded to your support email.

Hello…downloaded the latest update and tried to connect a facebook account and got the following error message:

App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don’t have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions.

Can you assist?

Thank you very much for contacting us.

Looks like your Facebook app is still in development mode. Please go to the installation guide and see point 12 of “Step 1: Getting Facebook App ID and App Secret”: http://shispare.com/facebook-live-video-auto-embed-wordpress-plugin/#installation-guide

If the problem persists, please contact us using the contact form with your website details.

There is famous journalist that do not have a fb page, but use his own fb account to share live videos, is there a way we can automatically share his videos on our website?? as he has a public facebook account.

It is not possible to get his videos via API without him logging into Facebook. This is restriction from Facebook. The API can only get user videos if the user logs in and grants permission.

Can this plugin stream live video posted on facebook ? I mean I am looking for something like, when I go live in facebook using my iPhone, the same live stream should run simultaneously on my wordpress page at the same time. Is it supported by this plugin ? Hope my query is clear, if yes, then I will gladly give it a shot. Please kindly let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Thank you very much for contacting us.

This error occurs when the video being embedded is not publicly available. Please make sure there are no restrictions on your video and it can be accessed by anyone without having to login to facebook and this error will go. Another reason this error may appear is when embedding is disabled on the video. If you use a broadcasting software to go live, please make sure “Embeddable” option is checked in advanced settings of when you create the live video.

awesome, its working perfect…i had to make the videos public, live and recorded for both…thank you so much for your excellent and fast reply…cheers…keep up the good work…I will get back to you again, if I face any problems while implementing it on my live website soon…thanks again…

Great. Thanks.

Hi, we bought the plugin today and tested, it seems that it is not working. My WP page says, This video can’t be embedded. Can you please check the issue ? How can I send WP details to you? So that you can have a look…my domain is http://mefa.staging-on.mefa-medienfabrik.com/

Sure. Please take some time to leave a review for us. Thanks.

By the way, the videos will not be played in phone if facebook app is not installed in the mobile right ? Is that correct ? In that case any alternative for people who are not logged in at facebook and people who do not have facebook app in their mobile ??? Is there any way to show the live and recently live videos to such people just like the desktop version ? Please kindly let us know…thanks

The recorded videos will play on mobile just fine.

Regarding the live video opening up Facebook app on mobile phones, this is default behavior of Facebook live embeds. Facebook has forced the embedded live videos on mobiles to open the Facebook app. This is true for any embedded Facebook live video whether embedded by plugin or manually.

It is possible for us to always show the desktop version even on mobiles but that will be useless right now because Facebook Live videos use flash player which does not work on most of the mobile devices. So we are keeping an eye on it, as soon as Facebook starts using a HTML 5 player, we will change the plugin to always display desktop version of the embedded video.

Sorry but the purpose of the plugin is to facilitate automatic embedding of Facebook Live videos. And the embedded video behaves like any other embedded Facebook live video. If you embed a Facebook live video manually, it will behave same on mobile phones. So the limitation is on Facebook’s part and not the plugin. Nevertheless, we are doing everything possible for improvement and will continue doing so.

Thank you.

Hello, I have installed everything, the link to Facebook worked to login, I added the Facebook Page username, created embed codes, yet when I add the embed codes, nothing shows up. I have live videos already created so something should show up, but I get nothing at all. Can you please assist.

Hi there,

Thank you very much for contacting us.

Please tell us if you get any error. Please check the following:

- Have you entered the correct facebook page username?
- Is the page publicly available without any restrictions? I.e. Is the page content accessible to a visitor without having to log into Facebook?
- Are the videos on your page “embeddable”? Please check this by going into settings of the video the. Advanced settings then makingsure “Embeddable” is checked.

Let me know if the problem persists.

Hello, yes I double checked every setting and all are correct.

Okay. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Forgive me as i could not find this answer. 2 questions as I get ready to buy this., but are of the same really. When we are not live, is there a screen image on the site to show ? and can that image be the image that FB shows when you schedule a FB Live video? Meaning I want my site to show an image when I schedule a broadcast. Looking at your screen shots and live preview all I see is just text that we are not live right now and not an image. How can you make this possible if not. Thank in advance.

Thank you very much for contacting us.

You can add images in Alternate message field by using HTML tag. I have just done this on our demo homepage: http://demo.shispare.com/fb-live-video-wp-live-preview/

This can be improved by having WYSIWYG editor for Alternate message and Top message fields, which is in our plans for future updates.

Other than that, both these fields accept WordPress Shortcodes. So you can use any shortcode generated by any plugin in Alternate mssage. For example you could use some plugin that shows a countdown timer and use its shortcode inside Alternate Message field.

Hi, is it possible for us to have a trial for this?

Thank you very much for contacting us.

You can see our demo site. http://demo.shispare.com/fb-live-video-wp-live-preview

The plugin works exactly like described in the plugin description. There is money back guarantee on Envato if the item is malfunctioned or does not have what it claims to have. So you can always feel secure buying from CodeCanyon.

Hi Plugin Developer, I would like to know, how do I do the shortcode in my php template ? I want to use WP’s do_shortcode() function..Please let me know…Thanks in advance…

You can just pass the Embed code as string in the do_shortcode function. Like do_shortcode(‘[fblivevideoembed id=”3”]’).

thanks a lot, will try that soon..cheers :)

hello trying play video from a personal account and getting the following error message when using the embed code:

Hi there, I recently got the following error due to this plugin when accessing my website through mobile, however, desktop access was fine:

Fatal error: Uncaught Facebook\Exceptions\FacebookSDKException: Unable to convert response form Graph to a GraphEdge because the response does not look like a GraphEdge. Try using GraphNodeFactory::makeGraphNode() instead. in /home/equippe7/public_html/wp-content/plugins/fb-live-vide-autoembed/inc/fb-sdk/GraphNodes/GraphNodeFactory.php:239

Could you please advise? As plugin has worked v nicely up till now!

Thanks

Hi there,

Thank you very much for contacting us.

The error is not related to mobile or desktop. If it is appearing it should appear for both. And it may appear because of incorrect Embed Code configuration, specifically a wrong Facebook page Username or Group ID.

Please check your embed code configuration. Please contact us via contact form on the following page if the problem persists: https://codecanyon.net/user/shispare

Thanks.

It would be very helpful with mobile first development on my site to be able to specify % for the video width rather than px. Advanced features like max width and min width would also be amazing. Are there any plans to allow for width options other than px?

Thank you very much for contacting us.

The embedded videos are responsive by default. The width that is specified actually works as the max-width. If the container is smaller then the video takes 100% width.

This is based on the options provided by Facebook in their Embed API. We will keep on updating the plugin to enable utilization of all the configuration options Facebook adds to their Embed API in future.

I tried to contact you through your contact us form but it will not work.

Ok, I have spent some time adding your FB Live plugin. Followed it to a “T” several times. However, I could not get it to load my previously recorded video. Search through the forum on code canyon, etc. Then it hit me to try a different browser. I tried Chrome, no problem. IE, no problem. But when you are on FF is just sits there and loads and has a link to the video. Is there a way to fix this or this is something with the recent update on FireFox?

Thanks for your time, Tracey

Yes, I have double-checked, and even used the User ID number from Lookup ID to no avail. This comment area will not allow me to enter the entire error code but it’s number 100, if that helps at all. Thank you very much for the attention.

Thank you for the excellent support! I do have an interesting question…What if I wanted to drop my personal facebook account, and let someone else setup their account as the personal access token account? Is there some way to do this?

I guess this is done at developers.facebook.com in Roles for the app?

I can’t seem to get rid of the personal account listed. Is this stored somewhere, that I can delete?

In order to remove a logged in user, you have to go to Facebook settings page of the Facebook user account and then go to Apps section and remove the app from there. Then in the settings area of the plugin you can login with another user but that user must be an admin or developer of your Facebook app. You can add new admins and developers to your app from the “Roles” section of the app page.
