Hi khaxan
Pre-sales question here. I’ve read through the comments here re metaboxes / custom fields and I’m still a little confused.
I am looking to build a frontend form that allows me to use the standard post form, but have custom fields (which I can create / configure using my theme’s features).
Although I believe your plugin will work – I’d like to be 100% certain before I purchase it. How can I make sure the plugin will be compatible with what I’m trying to build on the frontend?
Some advice would be welcome – or if I can show you, it would be even easier.
Hi there,
If you haven’t looked at the demo yet, please check it out. It will help you understand how custom fields are supposed to work. If it’s still not clear let me know. Thanks
Hi khaxan
I’ve looked at the demo – and played with a few frontend submission plugins. I struggled (although pretty competent with setting up wp sites / plugins) to understand / get clarity on the fields that can be created.
The fields I’m looking to create need to be configured for every post (screenshots attached). I want to make it easier for my authors to simply fill in the fields on the front end rather than having to ‘technically’ create these metaboxes / custom fields in a wp post.
If your plugin can do this – then your plugin is exactly what I’m looking for. Maybe I need some additional configuration – possibly need to create a template first before using your plugin – but that’s something I may need to upskill my self on first.
Any help would be welcome
Hi khaxan – wondered if you’ve had a chance to review the above comment? Looking to make a decision very soon on whether I need to purchase your plugin or look at another.
Hi, I think this plugin is right for you because you can create custom fields that are easy to fill for the user and don’t require any technical know how. If you are looking to create simple fields then you don’t need any templates etc.
Hey there, is it somehow possible to select an user to post it from in the form? I have to post content but I want the user that posts it to be randomized between a number of different profile names. Is it possible to have some sort of dropdown with specific usernames to post content from in RH Frontend Publishing Pro?
Hi, we don’t have this feature yet but we’ll try to include it in a future version. Thanks!
Thanks for getting back to me and great to hear 5hat it’ll get included in a future update. I’m wondering if this will also get updated in the Rehub version as I have that one running on my website
Whether or not the rehub version will be updated depends on the rehub developers. Thanks!
Hey! Any update on when this will come in an update?
Sorry but we have noticed some problems with allowing the user to pick an author. One of these problems is that the user might lose access to the post if it suddenly belongs to someone else. For this reason we are not going to support author dropdown at the moment.
I’d love to pay you for it to troubleshoot some more. I only need the dropdown on a certain form which only I use, so it doesn’t really matter of that certain user can’t delete or edit that post as I will be editing the post via wp admin if I need to make the necessary changes
Sorry but this feature can’t be included in the plugin at this moment because we think it will lead to problems for most people. We are also not accepting paid customization requests at the moment.
Can I usethis to submit to woocommerce and charge for packages?
Sorry I don’t understand the question. Can you tell explain which packages you are referring to?
will it work with wcfm?
The plugin doesn’t work with wcfm
Post Limiting for Users….........ONLY WORKING for WP-ADMIN style posting…......no user front-end plugins will work…......... this might need a fix or an edit….....this plugin is to good NOT to have this built in….

lol…..I know…....that is why I post tis suggestion…......but thanks for playing wizard..
Hi,
I am creating a website where users will be able to post their travelogues / trips / rides.
1) While posting the same, they will have to create a gallery of images of their trips. While they click on “Add media” does the plugin restrict them from viewing or using the media uploaded by other users.
2) Is there any option to create a user profile page or an authors page, if no do you suggest any plugin to achieve this?
Also, can we integrate it with buddypress and in the profile of the user?
Hi, thanks for considering this plugin for your project.
1) Users won’t see media items uploaded by other users on the site.
2) WordPress has it’s own author page which lists all posts by an author. If that doesn’t work for you, can you tell me your exact requirements?
It can’t be added to the buddypress profile section yet.
can you make compatible your free plugin to the latest version of wordpress and also add excerpt field in the free version so by which users can fill excerpt field from the frontend.
Hi there. Do you have a known issue of the Pending and the Draft tab going to 404?
The form and the post list initially shows ok based on the permalink set on the wordpress page (www.mysite.com/author/my-posts/), but when I click pending or draft tab, it tries to take me to link (www.mysite.com/author/my-posts/frontend-publishing/status/pending/) where i’d be greeted by a 404 page. Couldn’t find anywhere in settings to set my own permalinks for the other tabs so also wouldn’t like to see the word “frontend-publishing” to show on page permalinks.
Thanks!
Hi, thanks for using the plugin.
Have you tried to reset the permalinks on your site? If not please switch your permalink structure to default and then back to your required structure. This might fix the issue.
As for frontend-publishing in the URL, we don’t have an option to change it right now.
Hi, yes I have tried changing permalink back to default (plain) and then back to custom permalink again but same issue.
Also thought there was a potential workaround when I saw a setting called Hide Tabs so that you can create separate pages for posts of different status (such as status = pending, or draft) but can’t figure out how to work this either.
Please send me your site’s credentials in a support request and I’ll take a look, thanks
Hi, which file can i edit to edit the Posts list page for users when they are logged in? I want to add some text please help. I also sent a support ticket, i need it urgently. Thanks for a great plugin BTW!
I just replied to your support request, thanks
Hi,
Excellent plugin thank you.
All was working very well, until the update:
Version 3.10.0
I know receive this error message:
“Sorry, you are not allowed to attach files to this post.”
... when front end adding / uploading media (jpg).
Really strange, as this was working fine, but now I get this message since the update.
Thanks in advance.
Update: FIXED – it was a conflict with WP User Avatar – restricting the permissions and causing all sorts of problems. Apologies for disturbing you.
Thanks for the update. Glad you got it working again!
^^ We USE woocomemrce for payments btw ^^^
Does this plugin fit our requirments?
- We need a form that when filled in gets posted to the blog page - a non logged in user fills in the form - selects 6euro/10euro option - adds to cart - pays - form gets posted to blog page
We USE woocomemrce for payments btw
Thanks for considering this plugin for your project. We only support PayPal payments at the moment and we have our own addon for that. We don’t have integration with your payment system at the moment.
I have studied the bug from not saving the Attributes to the products. Why it’s until now, I can’t see the fix in the revisions?
When it will be fixed?
Only then, we will buy the license.
Hi, Sorry I don’t understand which bug you’re referring to. Can you please share a link to the comment that you’re referring to?
Thanks for the screenshot. You’re right, we haven’t had a chance to work on that. I will let you know when the status of this issue changes.
Hello, thanks for great plugin How to allow user to edit a published post from the frontend using your plugin??
I used this shortcut [wpfepp_post_table form=”1”] into a page, and i can see a table contains the posts .. but the icon for editing shows like just a square and it does nothing when clicking on it, it just reloads the page.
I cannot see the trash button too as it is shown in the demo
Thanks for using the plugin.
This sounds like a conflict with a plugin or theme. I have replied to your support request email.
Hello,
I have some pre-purchase questions:
1) After the visitor submit a post from the frontend form can he edit it later on, from the frontend?
2) Is it possible to add custom field so the user can submit the post from the frontend along with the metadata created by the custom field?
3) I am trying to create a movie review site so I just need a few extra field to have the post more organised (Movie Name: ..... / Duration: ..... / Cast: ..... Is it possible to display the post and the custom field data on my frontpage?
Thanks in advance — GM
Hi, thanks for considering this plugin for your site.
1) Yes they can edit it from the frontend. You can see it in action here: https://wpfrontendpublishing.com/demo/
Take a look at the post list page and then click on the pencil icon for any post in the list.
2) Yes you can create custom fields and the values of those fields are stored as post meta.
3) Once the user has submitted a post you can display the post meta anywhere you like. The plugin gives you the option to display this data under post content.
Let me know if you have other questions.
Cheers, Hassan
A pre-sale question please:
Can we also receive monthly subscription payments by PayPal as well as single post payments?
Also, is copyscape paid for like API integration and how we do it?
Thanks
Hi, thanks for considering this plugin for your project.
We only have single post payments at the moment.
For CopyScape integration you will have to buy some credits on CopyScape and then include your API credentials in the plugin settings. I hope that makes sense.
Oki thanks, all is cool. I have another question. Can you also add 2checkout integration for paid posts?
Hi, only PayPal is supported ATM.
2checkout has PayPal checkout option too. is there a way you can customize the plugin for me? can we talk about that?
one more question, Google now favors JSON-LD microdata elements. For example, if I receive recipes from front end, does this plugin support JSON-LD microdata?
Hi, is it possible to choose the type of product (woocommerce) (simple, grouped …) from the form? I do not get it.
I assume the type of product is stored as post meta? If so you need to create a new custom field with the right meta key and allow the user to select the type from a dropdown. You will find this article helpful:
https://wpfrontendpublishing.com/how-to-find-meta-keys-for-third-party-plugins-and-themes/Thank you. I knew about that link and it helped me figure out the meta keys I needed. But in the meta keys I can’t find how to change the product type. For example, if I want to change to a grouped product or variable, where is the data that modifies it?
Is it possible to select the type of product with the plugin? How? Thank you!
Do you see different values stored against the product type meta key? If so, you can create a select custom field with those values and the user will be able to select one of them from the frontend. I hope that answers your question.
The product type is saved as a taxonomy.
If it is a taxonomy then there should be a field created for it automatically. For example produce categories are a taxonomy and a dropdown field is created for them automatically.
Can you try creating a new form? That might help FEP detect that taxonomy and include a field for it.
Hi, Plugin Congratulations on the great.
Pre-sale question.
Is it possible that only a specific type of member registered on the site, (example author) has access to the publishing feature on the Front-end?
Thanks
Hi, thanks for buying the plugin. You can use a membership plugin to block access to the form page for all users except authors.
Thanks
Hi, which contact for support relates to the publin?
Thanks
Sorry I don’t understand the question. Can you please elaborate? Thanks
Hi
I need your contact to answer questions about the plugin. I did the installation on the site but it is giving error.

I sent the email to you a few days ago. I am waiting for an answer to solve the problem with the plugin
Hi I have replied to your email. Sorry about the delay.
support variable products and create woocommerce purchase orders?
Sorry variable products are not supported ATM.
Hi. Are you planning on supporting Google reCaptcha v3 in your premium version??
Hi. We currently support version 2. However I have added this request to our list of future developments.
Hi – Is it possible for the user to add a new taxonomy option on the front end form, like you can when posting in WP. https://snipboard.io/TaCd8v.jpg
I have a Taxonomy called Brand and if there is no relvent option I need the user to be able to “Add new brand”
Thanks
Hi there, thanks for using the plugin.
For creation of new taxonomy terms please see this: https://wpfrontendpublishing.com/how-to-allow-creation-of-new-taxonomy-terms-from-front-end-form/
