Thanks for the reply but I’m wary now about installing your plugin. Because you don’t allow to install it on the test site I installed it on my main one and got an alert (something about header?). Since installing I’ve noticed that only my header displays and nothing bellow it. So then I uninstalled your plugin and this in turn made a critical problem on my site that wouldn’t load at all at this point. I had to roll back the whole site to a backup from 3 days ago or it wouldn’t work at all. Without your plugin there aren’t any problems. I’m using WordPress 5.5.1, PHP 7.3, and oshine theme. I would appreciate it if you would check what this problem is about so I can safely install the plugin without worry about crashing my whole site.
We have never encountered this problem, please send us FTP and backoffice credentials to office@advancedplugins.com There is no reason to worry, the module does not make any permanent changes to other files so if there is a problem you can just delete the module from the FTP and any problem should be fixed.
My back office won’t help, as I won’t be installing your plugin before you check whats wrong with it. I can’t afford to loose my site because of one plugin. Maybe you should allow uses to check the plugin on one test site.
Hello, i understand your concern, but as i said above its impossible to break the site by installing the plugin, in an extreme case, if anything goes wrong, it can just be deleted. Its likely to be a conflict with another plugin or something similar as we cannot replicate it. There is a demo of the module, you can check it. I am afraid we cannot fix something we cannot reproduce so i do not know how i can help.

based on message you received, please manually delete the plugin from the FTP /wp-content/plugins/advanced-speed-optimizer, and download it again from the codecanyon site as we have released a patch for this. If you send the FTP credentials we can do this for you.

If you activate the use .webp extension, it will work on nginx without any problems. Please keep in mind, that the .webp extension option is not compatible with a page cache module as most of them, do not create caches depending on browser webp support

Hello, the image url is not changed, only the image file content is changed when compressing. when using .webp if you check the use .webp termination, than the image url will be the same but instead of .jpg, you will have .webp, however this can be easily avoided by letting htaccess to handle it, or nginx but needs some manual server optimization,

From what i see imghaste, is a live CDN that does the conversion when images are accesed.

-> I have never heard about not allowing webp for security reason, what i know is that most hostings do not have the necessary php libraries installed to convert webp images, that is why we are using free apis so that is not a problem

—> you should never upload WEBP images, to wordpress or any other platform, that error is normal, the module displays .jpg for browsers that do not support, you can read more about this in the FAQ section of the module presentation page

I see no reason upload is not allowed to security reasons, most likely there is a list of acceptable formats and the rest are denied, and webp is not in the allowed list.

When I bought this plugin – there was WEBP option. I have screenshots. Where WebP option now????? Why are you misleading customers and not giving the promised features??? At first the plugin didn’t work at all. Now Webp compression has disappeared from it! I want money back.

Hello, The version you are seeing in the demo, that has webp is under approval at code canyon. You had a problem, we offered support to help you fix it, now you are just being a very il intent person, nowhere in the module description does it say anything about webp, only in the demo, because that version is not yet approved and the demo was uploaded. You were a very rude and difficult person with the support ticket and you are continuing to be now, but I must thank you for pointing this our, we will disable the feature in the demo, until it is approved.
The webp supporting version has been approved by code canyon you can download it.

Accessing the demo and not being able to send an image to see if it really compresses is to shoot in the dark.
