I can’t get the short code to work at all. I even copied verbatim your shortcode from the support document, and edited the various true/false selections and the h/v selection to make sure only on option was selected and it’s just not popping up. The short code just appears on the site like normal text.
Hi there,
Thanks for using my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
Please confirm which one have you purchased from my three auto parts plugins. I am asking because I don’t see a “Purchased” tag with your name. There are chances that you have purchased my other plugin but trying shortcode from this plugin. Every plugin comes with a different documentation and its own shortcode. That’s why it doesn’t work for you. Just trying to guess, this can be a plugin you have purchased: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-vehicle-parts-finder-makemodelyear/13458497
Still face any issue, please let me know so that I can check it further. I would require your website’s FTP and Admin details for it. You can send these details at wpinstinct@gmail.com.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Its the VPF plugin I’m having the trouble with. We did purchase it here from Code Canyon.
I have two VPF plugins and need you to confirm me that which from these two have you purchased. Please share the screenshot from your CodeCanyon account with my plugin name at wpinstinct@gmail.com so that I can guide you accordingly. Thanks!
I emailed that to you and have not yet heard back from you yet. It would be nice to get this resolved soon.
Please confirm if this is your email ID: cri......oak@gmail.com. If yes, I replied to your email on same day when I received it ( Around 3 days ago ). Today I have resent it again so please confirm if you received it or not. Thanks!
Can i have this plugin work as Year, Make, Model, Submodel, Engine size and category but category as optional.
Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in my plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
This plugin comes with only these four levels: Year > Make > Model > Engine and then WooCommerce categories but I have another plugin which allows you to create your own required set of levels. Here is the URL of that plugin which can work for you: https://codecanyon.net/item/wpce-woocommerce-parts-compatibility-editor/24115209
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi! On the twistedthrottle.com website, we use this filter. We can’t seem to get the admin setting of a category to “universal” to make all items in the category show up for all bikes. Can you please get in touch with us for testing assistance?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
There is no way to make a category universal. You can do it for individual products but not for full category itself.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Thank you for your quick response! Is there any way to bulk update products to set them as universal?
1. In WooCommerce, there is an option on products list page in backend which allows you to bulk edit products. Using this option, you can make multiple products universal at same time.
2. Otherwise, you have to do it manually by selecting products one by one from plugin’s Settings screen.
Thanks!
Hi, i just have a couple questions about setting up the parts finder plug in
firstly, our parts finder is only showing ‘year’ and ‘make’, how do we make it show ‘model’ also
secondly, how do we reorder the list of drop downs? it is currently going ‘year’ then ‘make’. how do we make it go ‘make’, ‘model’ then ‘year’
thanks in advance
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
1. If you are using a shortcode for showing finder, you need to add show_year=”true” In same shortcode.
Using a VPF widget, you will find an option there which will enable years dropdown on frontend.
2. In case of requiring Make as first level, you should have purchased my another plugin which comes exactly in same order you need: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-vehicle-parts-finder-makemodelyear/13458497/
If you haven’t added any data to my current plugin yet, then better if you can place a refund request for it first through this URL: https://codecanyon.net/refund_requests/new
and then purchase my another plugin at same time: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-vehicle-parts-finder-makemodelyear/13458497/
This should solve your problem for levels order.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
ahhhh yep my mistake, thank you!
I have approved your refund request. Go ahead and purchase the correct one. Thanks!
champion! thank you, purchase the new one and works perfectly
one last question… is there any way you could export the plugin data on the site to a csv?
Great, thank you.
Currently, there is no direct way to export data from plugin to a CSV file until you find a plugin which allows you to export custom taxonomy terms. I think WP All Export can do it but not 100% sure about it.
hi i am from south africa will this work for south african vehicle
Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in this plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
If your website is based on WooCommerce and South African vehicles are being supported by WooCommerce without any problem, then there shouldn’t be problem in my plugin also. Still, if you see any error while using it, just let me know and I will be happy to help you.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
THANKS, ONCE I PURCHASE IT AND IF THERE NEW VEHICLE CAME OUT HOW DO I UPDATE IT
You simply need to ready a CSV file with new vehicles only and upload through plugin’s CSV Importer panel. Thanks!
hello hi, I have version 2.3 to change to new 3.3 how can I do? regards
Hi there,
Thanks for using my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
If you are using Envato plugin for auto updates, then it should be working automatically for you. Otherwise you have to do it manually by:
1. Downloading latest version from CodeCanyon 2. Delete old plugin files from your server 3. Upload latest one 4. Make sure you take a backup of your complete website including database before doing it.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
hi, I followed your instructions but I install plugin with DB EMPTY REGARDS
Sorry, I didn’t get you. You don’t need to do anything with database and after update, it will still use old VPF database.
sorry, maybe I explained myself wrong, I followed your instructions but now db is empty. what can I do?
if I renew support can you help me?
I don’t think if it should happen. Do you still have old version of same plugin? If yes the please try re-setting up it again and let me know if you see the database restored.
Otherwise, yes please renew the support and share your website’s FTP and Admin details at wpinstinct@gmail.com so that I can check for the reason and fix it.

Is it possible to show choosen category name in site title? As in normal Woocommerce “Category name – Site name”.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
In case if someone searches for: Make Audi > Model A4 > Year 2004 > Categories Parts, what should it should in site title? Provide me your website’s FTP and Admin details also at wpinstinct@gmail.com and I will do it for you.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello, plugin is awesome but is it possible to write category from slug of URL and set it as selected in your widget? E.g. when i go directly to http://zamowstronke.pl/pg/product-category/akcesoria/ I’d like to make category ‘Akcesoria’ selected in “Wybierz rodzaj” (it’s translated “select cateogry” and reordered to be the first one) in your widget?
Ok, it’s done.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. As I can see, you have already managed to get it work, please let me know if you still need my help.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello!
I am interested in purchasing your plugin for a client but have a question for you.
My client sells parts for Motocross, suspension, and so on. Every year there comes a new bike which most parts from last year will fit on. Is it a way to bulk update terms?
Example: I have ~500 products, In 2021 there will be a lot of new bikes so I have to update a lot of my products to say the fit on 2021 also. Is there an easy fix for this? For example, export CSV, edit, then import again?
Thanks and i wish you all the best, Jonathan
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your interest in my plugin.I would be happy to help you.
You can update/associate terms to products in bulk using CSV import process. Let’s say you have new terms for 2021, you just need to create a new CSV file only with those new terms and import it. It wouldn’t delete old associations and will create new one with products.
Also, please have a look at my other plugin too before you decide to go with this one: https://codecanyon.net/item/wpce-woocommerce-parts-compatibility-editor/24115209
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello, Purchased you product and I have set it up on my site. My question is there a way to have the search results show the categories first and then allow the customer to click on the category to see what parts are available under that category for their search?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
For showing categories over products on search results page, it would require some custom work and will cost you few additional charges. You can contact me at wpinstinct@gmail.com further discussion.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
HI there!
When a vehicle has been entered into the search, and entering a SKU to search by, if that item is a universal product it doesn’t show up in the search results.
What are we missing?
Thanks in advance!
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
I would require your website’s FTP and Admin login credentials in order to check for the reason and fix it. You can send these details at wpinstinct@gmail.com. Also, please add the steps in same mail by following which I can see the error on my end.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
As others have commented, we need to have sub-model included so that it will be Make/Model/Submodel/Year (to be selected by users in that order). This also needs to be included in the Import CSV load process.
Please advise.
Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
If you haven’t purchased this plugin, then I would advice you to go with my another plugin: https://codecanyon.net/item/wpce-woocommerce-parts-compatibility-editor/24115209
This plugin allows you to create your own set of levels.
2. If you still want to go with current plugin, it will cost you few additional charges for adding this new level to plugin.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Thanks for the quick reply!
We are currently using your WooCommerce Vehicle Parts Finder, but are considering the new plugin you recommended.
If we decide to use new plugin, we have a few questions about making the switch:
1. In moving to the new plugin, would all data from the current plugin be lost? Or is there a way to import/retain the data from the existing VPF plugin? We currently have about 3.5k products in our Shop that are mapped to numerous VPF Terms.
2. In VPF, we are using some custom code/fix you provided (functions.php & class-woo-vpf-hooks.php) to correctly filter and show universal products in the product filters on the website. Will this code need to be redone for the new plugin?
If we decide to stay with the original VPF plugin:
1. If you add sub-model level (in this order: Make/Model/Sub-model/Year), can the sub-model be an optional field?
2. Since the sub-model would be optional, will the existing data still work (the entries that currently don’t have sub-model) without requiring a complete VPF re-load? We plan to only include the sub-model for new products going forward, but want the existing products to still work without sub-model specified.
3. How much will it cost for you to add the sub-model level, including to the CSV importer?
Hi there,
1. There is no such way to move existing VPF terms to new WPCE plugin but I can help you with this by writing a custom script for the purpose. However, this will cost you few charges for it.
2. Can you please remind me what exactly I did with these custom scripts? I am sure that we can do same for WPCE as well but before that I need you to recap the things.
3. Yes, I can make Sub Model as optional field. However, adding new field means you will no more be able to update VPF pluign.
4. Existing data will work only if you add new level in the end. Otherwise, you have to re-import all the data as per new CSV format.
5. We can discuss more about cost through mail. This is my Email ID: wpinstinct@gmail.com
Thanks!
I was trying to import 27xx rows via the importer but I get a critical error after it is finished I found some of the rows from the beginning for the sheet are successfully imported, some of the last rows are not. any idea how many row it can take per import?
thanks
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
1. Please confirm if you got a success message after import completed or not?
2. Send your CSV file at wpinstinct@gmail.com so that I can try same on my local server and check for the reason.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello, I installed this plugin which works wonderfully but I am stuck on a piece of PHP code.
I would like to call with a ”<? Php echo” the terms used during the research, I managed to call the label “year” with two different code:
<?php echo $year_label = WOO_VPF_YMM_Functions::get_year_label (); ?> <?php echo $woo_vpf_ymm_year_label = WC_Admin_Settings::get_option( ‘woo_vpf_ymm_year_label’ ); ?>
But I can’t call the chosen term in order to display a personalized message, example: Choose the ideal cover for your {{Brand}} {{Model}} from {{Year}}
Can you tell me which code I should use? Thank you so much !
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
If you have enabled “Remember Search” from plugin’s Settings panel, you should be able to read user searched term ID’s using following code snippet:
$search = vpf_ymm_get_cookie ( 'search' );
This will provide you ID’s of user searched Year, Make, Model and Engine. Then you can call another function to get term title from term ID:
get_term( $search['year_id'], 'product_ymm' );
Please let me know if it helps or not.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
HI i asked that do you also have databse of all year make n model?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I don’t have pre-ready database for terms ( makes/models/years ). You have to ready a CSV file and import with only those terms for whom you sell parts.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi, I am getting a 500 internal server error when trying to navigate to the import csv page
I am using the following WC Version: 2.6.14 WP Version: 4.7.18 Are there any dependencies that I am missing? Or do I need to update my WC for this to work?
Thanks

test site: www.zamowstronke.pl/cartest
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
This is something not directly works in this plugin but I can try to let it on your server by writing some custom script if you provide me your website’s FTP and Admin details. You can send these details at wpinstinct@gmail.com
Also, I couldn’t find any price filter on your test website so please provide me page URL where I can find both filters at same time.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Having some issues with plugin.. I’ve successfully installed it. I’ve also tagged a product with the correct vehicle. But when searching it never brings up any product results… It seems that the search results are a little off as well as numbers show on the search results (where categories our shown on top of search result on results page). A litlte hard to explain but… Any help?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I have replied to your mail, please check and let me know your thoughts.

Hi, I wish to know if there is a solution or a script to deselect the universal option in bulk for all products. I tried to deselect one by one from the settings:admin page but is not working. Thank you
Hi there,
Thanks for using my plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
You can deselect universal products in bulk on plugin’s Settings page. There, you will find an option with label “Universal Products” which contains a list of all universal products. Just remove products from the list which you don’t want to keep as universal anymore.
If it doesn’t work for you, provide me your website’s FTP and Admin details at wpinstinct@gmail.com and I will check it for you.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
I’m wondering if you can help me figure out how to work with your plugin in my particular situation. I’m hoping I don’t have to put in all the variations, but can just reach the product from a search, even if the particular variations aren’t there. Thanks in advance. Also, a tutorial on how to set this up would be very helpful.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
This plugin doesn’t support individual variations and works with full products only. Let me write down some basic steps here you have to follow in order to let it work properly:
1. Once setup plugin, go to plugin’s Settings panel and do all the settings as per your need.
2. Ready a CSV file with 5 columns: Year, Make, Model, Engine, Comma separated multiple Product SKU’s.
3. Import it through plugin importer. You will see a success message once done successfully.
4. You can associate vehicles/terms from “Edit Product” screen as well.
5. That’s all about its backend panel. Now about how to show a finder somewhere, you can either use plugin widget or can do it through shortcode.
6. You can find more about plugin on this URL: http://vpfymm.wpinstinct.com/documentation/
If you still have any question, you can contact me at wpinstinct@gmail.com and I will be happy to answer for all your queries.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
OK so my understanding is, if I have a product that is 2000-2010, in my spreadsheet, I would put all the years and point to the one product, correct?
Can I only point to a product? I need to have it go to a category page.
Hi,
1. While having a range of years ( eg: 2000 – 2010 ), you can put all in single column. There are two ways to do so:
2000-2010
2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008,2009,2010
and then in last column, put the SKU of all the products which will associate to this full row.
2. That’s your choice that how many product SKU’s you put in last column. If you use only single SKU, then it will point to single product onlt. I didn’t get your point about category page.
Thanks!
