Thanks for a great plugin. I’m struggling with getting the [ymm_selector template=”horizontal_selector.php”] shortcode to display.
I got this knowledge from http://hottons.com/demo/wp/ymm/README.html under the heading Search box in page content. The shortcode just appears as text on the frontend of my site (https://darksidecustomharleys.com.au/new-home/)
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
You are reading the documentation of a wrong plugin which doesn’t belong to me. This is the correct URL for this plugin documentation: http://vpfymm.wpinstinct.com/documentation/#shortcode
Please let me know if you still face any issue after using this. I will wait for your feedback.
Thanks, WP Instinct team

We have this widget on our website for a while now, today I noticed that it does not work smoothly, after you “select make” it will not automatically load the next variation (select model). if I click on search, it will take me to all make items and then i can see the models list, but again, I can select the model but it will not give me the year option, I must again click on search and can only select year after new page loaded. Any advise?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
Please provide me following details so that I can troubleshoot the reason and fix it for you:
1. Your CodeCanyon purchase code for this plugin
2. Your website URL where you have located the widget

Hello, we purchased the VPF plugin, but are having some issues with it on our site that I was hoping you might be able to help us with:
1. When we try to import our terms, I haven’t been able to find a mapping function for universal products. Is that the case or am I missing something?
2. We are in the testing phase of using the VPF plugin on our staging site, but when we try to search by fields that are confirmed within the backend VPF product data, we still do not receive any matching results.
3. We have been unable to find any supporting documentation for this, as the documentation links on CodeCanyon seem to be dead links at the moment. Do you happen to have any updated support docs that might be relevant?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide on these issues. If there is anything that I can provide to better explain our current situation and needs in order to find a solution, please don’t hesitate to ask.
I apologize, I just realized that I wrote this on the wrong plugin (https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-vehicle-parts-finder-makemodelyear/13458497) so I’m just going to repost there so you can validate our support.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
I have replied for your questions on the correct plugin thread page, please check.

Hey, looking to purchase this plugin..however is there a way to get message confirmation on single product page?
“This fits your vehicle” or “This does not fit your vehicle”
Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in this plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
This plugin doesn’t come with a product validator on the product details page.
If you need it, I would suggest you have a look at my other auto parts finder plugin which comes with a product validator as well. Here is the URL for that plugin: https://codecanyon.net/item/wpce-woocommerce-parts-compatibility-editor/24115209

With the Year/Make/Model/Engine plugin – is there a way to only search by Model? For instance, if I have the following: year – 2015 make – Toyota model – Tacoma engine – 4.0L V6
I want to run a search on just Tacoma and return all results in the DB that are for Tacomas. Is there a way to do that?
Thank you!
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
There is no such way to search a mid way term without selecting the parent one. The users have to first select an year and then a make in order to search by a model further.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi – I have this installed on my WordPress page, everything is updated but it does not appear under WooCommerce settings or on the admin bar anywhere. Please let me know what I should look for.
Cheers

Hi, support on codecanyon.net is renewed. You have answer to your questions in your email. sender is office@jay-parts.com Best regards Uschi
Hi Jay,
Thanks for renewing the support. I have sent you a reply, please check.

Hi, we have an customized version of your VPF plugin where we can fix the category in search filter form. This is why we never could update your plugin.
Now we have updated Wordpress & Woocommerce to the latest versions with a bad result. The function which shows the search result on single product page brakes down the installation completely with fatal error. (function who shows the filter settings on the top of the search result page) After we commented out this one of your entries in function.php of our child theme the page works but it slows down in backend and frontend extrem.
It’s not possible to work in backend and also not useable for customers in frontend.
Is it possible to fix the product category in which customer search with form in frontend (different for each search form) in the new version? So we will be happy to update.
If not please let us know how we could fix the bad situation. We need to update our productive page and need the VPF for our axles and belts for the customers.
Best regards Uschi
Hi Uschi,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
1. Please make sure you renew the support on CodeCanyon before I can help you further on this.
2. Can you please confirm if I did this customization for you?
3. Provide me your website URL, FTP and Admin login details.
4. Also, tell me how it was supposed to work after this customization. You can provide a few screenshots showing its supposed functionality and also show me where and how I can see this error on my end.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
I have uninstalled this plugin and would like a refund. It does not meet my needs.

Presale questions:
1. Does this plugin show the results on the shop page?
2. Is it compatible with any theme?
3. Show results as products or blog post?
4. Can I batch add make/model to multiple products? or how is it added?
5. Can I just use make/model/year for the search? or should I use all the options?
6. Can I search for products only by makes?
Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in this plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
1. It uses the Products Archive page template in order to show the results.
2. Yes
3. Products
4. Yes, you can add multiple terms ( makes/models/years ) to multiple products either from the product management screen or using a CSV file.
5. Yes, you can drop off the Engine if you don’t need it. This plugin comes with Year at first and then Make and Model. However I have one more plugin which comes with Make at first and then Model and Year. Please have a look at that plugin and make sure you purchase the correct one: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-vehicle-parts-finder-makemodelyear/13458497
6. Yes
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Is there a way to bulk enter Year/Make/Model data? Any chance you have data to enter as a starting point for this or does it all have to be manually entered?
Please disregard ~ figured that out! Is there a way to include the selected vehicles in a product export though?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
There is no way to export the VPF terms/vehicles at the moment. If you need it, it will cost you a few additional charges. Please contact me at wpinstinct@gmail.com if you want to discuss it further.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello, how can I list compatible products according to the license plate of the vehicles in England on my e-commerce site.
Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in this plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
This plugin doesn’t allow one to find the products using a license plate number. The functionality this plugin provides and the requirements you are looking for, both are two completely different topics.
Therefore, I would suggest you look for any other plugin which is close to your requirements or go with a custom solution.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi, Can this Finder is compatable with shopify store as well?
Hi there,
Thanks for using this plugin. This plugin is only compatible with WooCommerce and wouldn’t work with Shopify.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
We’re having an issue where the wp_options table grows massively large with the following option:
product_ymm_children – 675932
Any ideas on why this would be happening?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
This plugin uses a custom taxonomy for Year > Make > Model hierarchy and that’s how WordPress stores the relation of parent-child terms within this option.
Even if you search for “product_cat_children” ( which belongs to WooCommerce ) you will find an option there and it will also increase in size while you add a huge list of the categories and subcategories.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello, is it possible to have the order in reverse? Ie Make, Model then Year?
Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in this plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
I would suggest you have a look at my another plugin which comes in the same order you are looking for. Here is the URL for correct plugin: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-vehicle-parts-finder-makemodelyear/13458497
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi, we have a list of all the vehicles we deal with as follows “Brand -> Model -> Year -> ID”, and for each product in a custom field, there are various IDs of the reference models separated by commas. How can we relate the ID we have in the custom field with the combination previously loaded via csv during saving?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
Currently, this plugin works based on the product SKU/ID in order to create a relation among a product and VPF terms. If I got it correctly, you want to change this concept so that it works for a custom field based option also for the same scope, right?
It would require some custom work in order to get it work that way around which will make this plugin no longer update-able in future and will also cost you a few additional charges. Please contact me at wpinstinct@gmail.com if you want to discuss it further.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello, do you have any support or ideas as to how to get the search results based on the product variation, rather than the parent product?
Here is a recap: We sell motocycle covers. Each cover has a couple of different sizes. So a Harley Davidson Streeglide would require a Large mortorcycle cover, not a small. But when we do a search for Vehicl (Harley Davidson Street Glide), we get results and choose the product, we dont know which Size actually fits my bike.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
Sorry, this plugin supports the parent products only. There is no way to add a support for product variations independently.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello, I have set up my filter – Which includes 3 tiers. Im using it slightly different for a tyre size finder not that, that should matter.
I have Make (Tyre Width) Model (Tyre Prodile) Year (Rim Size)
However on the front end only the first two show – It will not show the “year” I have it enabled in the widget but it still does not work

Hello,
I recently purchased a license for this plugin, my website currently runs version 2.9 with an extensive set of terms in use that I need to retain – how do I go about exporting or otherwise retaining my existing terms when I update the plugin?
Thanks, Nicholas
Hi Nicholas,
Thanks for purchasing this plugin. I would be happy to help you.
If it’s all about the same plugin, you just need to over write the old plugin files with the newer one. It wouldn’t have any impact on the terms you imported before.
Still, for being on the safe side, please take a backup of the files and database.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Thank you for the response.
I’ve been testing this on my staging site and overwriting the old plugin appears to delete all the old terms – is there a specific file the terms are kept within?
Can you please make sure if you have purchased the same plugin again which you setup before? I have two plugins with almost similar names:
2. https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-vehicle-parts-finder-makemodelyear/13458497
So please make sure you are not messing up the things among these two plugins.
Thanks!
I believe this is the case I have purchased the wrong one, thank you for your help!
Yes, that’s what I thought too.
