Purchased. Attempted to install twice. The second time with a new db and I ensured that the files & folders mentioned in the comments section have 777 permissions. I also ensured that STRICT_TRANS_TABLES is disabled.
Both times, I get stuck at what appears to be the final step. I get the message (that so many others seem to, too): Delete any row in admin_options table try again. :
Only, there are NO rows in the admin_options table. If I attempt to install again, I’m told to delete rows in the member table (which I’ve done).
I send all of the details to the author, including credentials so that he can personally look at my set-up (a VPS server on DreamHost).

It seems that your server is not able to save php sessions. So please check your php.ini and make sure that session directory is not full and is writable. Usually it is /tmp.
I have made all the checks and made many attempts, I have not solved the problem.

I am trying to set up the Facebook login etc and try to follow the instructions in the admin control panel but they are different to the Facebook dev setup page. I tried to go through as best as I can and think I did everything correctly but now when I try to login using Facebook, I am getting a 500 error. I am using https too. Please can you point me in the right direction to fix this?

I have installed Classified Made Easy without any issues and I can browse to the website (http://www.prayermap.co.uk) but it is not showing the map for some odd reason. I just get the spinning wheel. I have ensured that the Javascript API is enabled and that the Googe key is correct. I don’t know what else to try now. The script isn’t working as it should

Hi, This can happen if Google maps has blacklisted your shared servers IP not necessarily due to your website but probably due to misuse by other websites hosted there.

I contacted my ISP after seeing your reply and they said that everything should be fine on their end. So I did a little test – I installed an older version of the script from a backup to see what it would do and it worked perfectly, showing the map and everything. So I again wiped the server and database, downloaded the latest version from Code Canyon and installed it. The result – no map! I’m so confused right now!

Hi, The demo runs the latest version and the latest update didn’t touch any code related to the map functionality. Did you check your Google maps console for any reported error?
There are DEFINITELY issues with the install scripts. After all the issues I am having, I decided to completely empty my database, delete the whole site, download the latest version and run the install script. I then get this (which others are also getting)...

So I examine the installer files and I discover that on line 43 of finishinstallation.php it is trying to insert some data into the admin_options table. There is a field called ‘defaultdistance’ which the installer has not created in the database and the script is trying to insert ‘Kms’ into it. I then examine the createTables.php file and there is no such field being created. I add that field into createTables.php, save the file and then re-run the installer. It fixes the above error but then I am just left with a yellow page saying…
Finalize Installation
So there are absolutely definitely issues in the install script because I have identified 1 above myself which is breaking it and causing this ‘Delete any row in admin_options table try again.’ It makes me wonder what other issues there are because I did not expect to see the ‘Finalize Installation’ message. It is confusing and should say something like…
‘Congratulations, your script is now installed. Please delete the install folder!’ instead!
I seriously think you need to set up the script from scratch on a new blank server with a blank database and test it again yourself instead of just saying ‘It is working fine’ because I myself have pointed out an issue as just one example!

Further to the above, I discovered why it wasn’t coming up with the installation finished page. It was my fault because I had not set the correct permissions on my site.inc.php file. After changing them it worked fine. This brings up another issue however…
On line 67 of finish installation.php, you have this…
die(“Can’t open file: $site_config_file. Check permissions”)
This is not working because it did not tell me that. It was just a blank page.

Ok, after completing the above and deleting the install folder, I go to the home page and still get the blank screen with the rotating wait wheel. I am really really starting to get very frustrated with this now! And in light of the issues I found above, I feel that something else is broken in the code because the map loads fine on the same server with an older version even though I can’t use it because it doesn’t support the Google Key method.
