Hi there, I have a problem with the plugin. All the upload fields I have made are working fine in the front end, the problem is when I try to edit a field or create a new one. In these cases I get a warning message that Rank Math SEO plugin is producing an error, message below

And after clicking the OK button I get a second warning message that you can see below

After clicking again the OK message the page shows Saved successfully and nothing happens. When I deactivate the Rank Math SEO plugin I only get the second warning message and again Saved successfully and nothing happens. Basically, I am unable to edit existing upload fields and I can not create a new one. Please advise.
Hi,
it seems that plugin plugins is including its javascript files in all admin pages (including the upload field configuration page) instead of in just their pages. This may cause some interference (as it happens in your case).
Before contacting their support team in order to avoid this interfernce, please go to the Options menu and enable the Force reloading 3rd party javascript libraries option that may prevent those scripts to interfere.

Regarding the dimensions, yes. If the user tries to upload an image greater of the set dimensions, will get an error message.

I’m really sorry, you cannot.
The plugin is designed to manage file uploads (that eventually can have some text), not just text.
You can, however, give a try to this other plugin of mine: WooCommerce Conditional Product Fields at Checkout. It allows you to create a text field show for each product in cart (or just once if some products are in cart). It has also a demo site where you can fully test it!

When you say you are not able to preview images, you mean the preview in the product table in the cart page? or the preview showend in the upload area? Have you customized in any way the cart page?

I’ve performed some analysis and it seems that the preview image attributes are altered. As you can see from the following image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cd7ewxm6d43viqd/wcuf_cart_preview_altered.jpg?dl=0
the src attribute is set as base64 string and the real image URL is set as a “data-src” attribute.
In a normal environment, the attributes should instead in this way: https://www.dropbox.com/s/amojoqswngzd147/wcfa_cart_preview_working.jpg?dl=0(the src points exactly to the image file).
Who is performing that manipulation, however, I am not able to say.
This kind of manipulation usually is performed by “lightbox” javascript libraries.
In your case maybe the theme that is performing that alteration. What I can suggest is to try to temporarily switch to another theme to see if it is the cause. Try eventually disabling also the other plugins.

I found it!!! Siteground plugin – lazy loading that was stopping the image loading.
Just one more thing when i receive the email though with my order the image link is broken – any ideas? (i am on office 365)

As you can imagine, without any further clue, it is quite hard to determine the cause. What do you mean with “broken”? could you provide a more detailde description and eventually link here the link?
Try eventually enable the wordpress debug mode (https://wp-staging.com/docs/enable-wordpress-debug-log-mode/ ) and re-perform a test. Once done, give a look to the debug.log you find in the wp-content/ folder and see if any further clue is reported in it.

can i upload an image to show you?? When the email goes to the customer it shows what they uploaded within the confirmation email. BUT that preview is just showing a brocken link icon rather than the image? Does that make sense?
Sounds strange, because the plugin just embeds the URL to the image.
It may depend on two things:- it may be that something is broking that link (as happened for the other plugin)
- or, most like, that you did not enabled the When order is placed option under theCheckout – Files to order association methodas reported in the Show image previews and file names list on Email products table option description!

without any further clue, it is quite hard to determine. As you can test in the demo site, you can upload GB of files without any issue.
Please try enabling the WordPress to debug mode ( https://wp-staging.com/docs/enable-wordpress-debug-log-mode/ ) and reperform a test. Once done, try giving a look to the debug.log located in the wp-content/ folder to see if any further clue is reported.
Please try also giving a look in the webserver error log to see if in there there is any additional info.
If none of the above helped, try disabling all the 3rd party plugins to see if any is interfering.

Please, unzip it. You will find a file called woocommerce-upload-files.zip, that’s the one you have to install!

Hey there. I just wanted to check as I have been getting the message that a plugin update is available. However I am already running Wordpress 5.4 and looks like you only currently support 5.3.x. Are there known issues where this won’t work? Or have you just not tested and signed off on it so to speak?

the max file size can be configured through the upload field options. You can test this option through the demo site.
Files are stored by default on the server, but you can choose to store them in a dropbox account.

I’m sorry, the plugin hasn’t an option to set a price according to a fixed range.
You can set a price for each page making free the ones over a certain value (for example, the user has to pay only for the first 50).
You can give for free the first X page and then make the user pay for the others.
You cannot however set a pricing rule that allows to pay an amount if the pages are lower than value and then another amount if higher of that value

I have buyed Woocommerce Upload Files for a woocommerce website.
First when i build i website, i allways build this in a demo site before i put him live. In the demo site i test everything if its working correctly.

Now i have used a licence for demo website and today i went live, the live website (Posthumuswinkel.nl) asks for another licence and not using the old one.
Is there any way to deactivate the old licence so i can still have 1 for future useage?

Hi,
each license can be activated in two different domains (one is for testing and the other for production). For each domain, you can reactivate unlimited times (including subdomains and subfolders).
So you can safely reactivate the product in the new domain, your license allows you to do that.

Unfortunately, without any further clue, it is quite hard to determine the cause. Did you enable any option to restrict the field visibility (by user role, order status, payment gateway)? If so, please try disabling them.

If you report which issue you are getting in the error console, I’ll be glad to assist.
As you can test in the demo site, the plugin properly works without any issue. So in your case, most likely the issue is caused by a 3rd party plugin interference. In that case, you should eventually ask a refund to those developers.
Please perform this simple test: try temporarily disable the other plugins and report me if you are still getting the issue.
Note also that a refund cannot directly be emitted by authors, you have to ask via the refund page. Note, however, that the CodeCanyon refund policy won’t grat a refund won’t be granted if the issue is caused by 3rd party causes.

Hi, I’ve moved my site from a demo domain to the final domain but now the file upload doesn’t upload the files. It says file upload in progress please wait but there isn’t uploaded anything. Is that a license issue? I’ve de-installed the plugin on the demo domain. And I’ve got 1 regular license.

As you can imagine, without any further clue, it is quite hard to determine the cause.
It could depend on a server issue or a 3rd party plugin interference. Please try enabling the wordpress debug mode ( https://wp-staging.com/docs/enable-wordpress-debug-log-mode/ ), perform a test and see if any further clue is reported in the debug log located in the wp-content folder.
Make sure that all ajax requests are forwarded to your current server. It happens that when migrating, some users are not updating some internal constants like WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL
Make also sure that no 3rd party is interfering. Try eventually disabling all the 3rd party plugins and have a look at the browser error console to see if any further clue is reported.
I set the debug mode on both servers and the one that is working fine no php errors but the new server got a list of php error:

Thank you for reporting. That, however, is just a notice, not an error. It warns about a deprecated syntax (it means that now it works but it a future release it may not).
I’ve however released the new 54.3 version that fixes it!
Usually, notices don’t prevent scripts to be executed (like errors). So it may not be the cause. However, give a try updating and let me know!

As you can read, the issue is raised by a script of the theme: /wp-content/themes/dt-the7/woocommerce/global/quantity-input.php
For that you should eventually ask support to its developer. Try eventually switch to another theme to see if actually the interference is caused by that.
Yes but in my other domain this issue is also there but file uploads works without any problems so this isn’t causing it
I ask my hosting what server settings are different between the two domains because I only moved the complete website from one domain to another

What I can suggest is to see via the browser inspector tool if the ajax requests performed in background are properly processed by the server.
Try also eventually give a look to the websever error log (not the wordpress debug log) to see if in there are reported any other info.
It is not easy to figure it out I understand, I installed a fresh new wordpress and woocommerce and basic 2019 theme, and no other plugins are installed and even now it doesn’t upload. So it should be server related or not?
Most likely I would say yes. Maybe the issue may be related to the background ajax requests. They may be blocked by a security setting.
Could you share a public link? I can eventually analyze the ajax request performed by the plugin with the browser inspector tool to see if it properly processed or not (so the issue research field is more restricted)

It could be then that the issue is just related to your browser. Try purging the cache and to use a fully HTML5 compliant browser like Firefox or Chrome.
If you are logged, try logout and login and purge the server cache.

We recently installed your plug in with a website. When launching it we tested it out and we’re able to upload files. Although when others tried they had this problem. It would load up and get to 100% and nothing would show in the files. They would try again and the same result happened like they didn’t do anything. I did some research and used every device and browser. The only time I came up with the issue was using Safari where it kept happening. The client would need this to work on all the browsers. Before moving forward with another plug in I was wondering if there are any options that work or if you have a solution?

I’m sorry, but the plugin, as reported in the <stong>Compability paragraph in the description page, requires a fully HTML5 compliant browser and the official supported browser are the one reported in the “compatible browser” area you find in the right side of the plugin description page.
Some versions of Safari, unfortunately, suffer from several issues that may prevent the plugin javascript code to be properly executed.
Does this plugin allow for customers who have uploaded files with their order to view these files afterwards? This plugin seems perfect for what I am looking for but I will need the ability for customers to take a look at these files once uploaded as well.

Yes. You can enable the Summary box option (through the Options menu) that will show the uploaded files.

Thanks for getting back to me. When enabled, are these files accessible to the customers or are they only displayed in a list format? I was able to find this checkbox within the demo but was unable to see how this would look from a customer perspective.
That area will list the file names. In the case of images, they will be also previewed with a thumbnail.
To experience the user perspective, just place an order uploading some files and then go the My Account -> Orders -> Order details page.
