Can I upgrade to Woocommerce 4.0? I noticed its not on your list of supported versions yet. Thank you
Hi there,
Thanks for using my plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
You can upgrade WooCommerce to latest version and it will work fine. I have added this to plugin supported WooCommerce versions as well.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi
Is there any way to get product id by taxonomy term? I am looking in this function get_product_id_by_slug. Instead of slug, I will have taxonomy terms. Which means instead of item_product i would want to have item_taxonomy_term.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
There is no direct functions to get product IDs for a taxonomy term but you can get it through get_posts function and tax_query if you are good in WordPress functions.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi how can I display the search result number in Result page?
Cheers
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
My plugin follows WooCommerce’s Search Results page for my plugin so if your theme doesn’t hide total number of results from WooCommerce’s Search Results page, it would display on my plugin also.
Provide me your website’s FTP and Admin details so that I can check for the actual reason. You can email these details at wpinstinct@gmail.com
Thanks, WP Instnct Team
Thank You
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
1. If you are showing it through shortcode, you just need to add these two additional parameters in shortcode:
show_model="true" show_engine="true"
2. If you are using VPF widget to show it, you will see options in widget panel to show/hide model and engine dropdowns.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
I’d like to the correct workflow I’m currently using WP all import for all my product import with some ACF 1. Import all the product then import VPF field by another CSV from your importer tool That is what I guess If I am not using your importer tool but using the WP all import, is it compatible, do I need any extra add-on? If so, how to map the field?
and btw I hope there will be more sample CSV, e.g. inputing the range of years. and also keyword etc…
thanks
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
I am not much familiar with WP All Import plugin but few of my clients have used it successfully with it. My plugin uses a custom taxonomy for all four levels with parent > child relation so you just need to read that how you setup nested terms from a taxonomy in WP All Import CSV file, then it should work fine for you also.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi, If I am using Elementor post widget for product archive. Can I combine your YMM search with my other filter plugin e.g. facetWP will it work? because I need one more filter for filtering sub items or your filter only work the native woocommerce product grid widget?
FYI, I am try to build something like this https://www.revzilla.com/legend-suspensionthanks
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
If I am correct, you want to check compatibility of my plugin with another filter plugin such as: facetWP. I never got a chance to test it with facetWP so wouldn’t be able to say anything.
You can purchase this plugin and give it a try. If it doesn’t work, you can contact me for support.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
My plugin works well with WooCommerce Layered Search. In case if you want to use facetWP, we can give it a try with that one also. I would require your website access in order to check for compatibility issues you face. Thanks!
Yes sure but how can I give you the access in private? do you have any support email address? thank you
My Email ID is wpinstinct@gmail.com. I would require website’s FTP and Admin access also. Thanks!
Hi,
Is there any resource in your knowledge where I can find the YMM database for car and bikes in the correct format to import into the plugin? I’ve looked at a few but you’ll know a 100% which one suits this plugin the best.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
I don’t know any specific resource which comes with complete database and that too in my plugin required format. I think this user owns a CSV file which is closer to mine one: https://codecanyon.net/user/bigboss555
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi! Your plugin is messing with the Woocommerce Email Template color picker. When I edit a color, another color picker appears (which is from your files; I know this because the color picker works fine if your plugin is deactivated). My client is the one who bought it, so I’m not appearing as a “purchaser”. But please look into it. We have the latest Woocommerce plugin.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
I don’t think if there is any script in my plugin which can cause this to happen but still I would like to look into it for you. Provide me your website’s FTP and Admin details at wpinstinct@gmail.com along with the steps by following which I can see the error. If possible then please attach a few screenshots also.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi, We are facing issue with plugin. When we search any product, the search result not showing on same page. It is showing on another page. Also in the backend only showing ‘Add New Term’ option and we cant find the other options like Make, Model, Engine, Category Please have a look urgently.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
1. This plugin is never supposed to show product results on same page and will always take you to products archive page. This is the same page which you see while you do a WooCommerce’s default search.
2. While you take your mouse over Year ( 2006 ), there is an option which says “View Make”. Click on it and you will be on next page with Makes list specific to that year only ( 2006 ). Same way, from next screen take your mouse on Make name and you will find another option which says “View Model”. I hope it answers your question.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Is there a way to export my VBF terms back into a CSV so I can make easy edits?
Hi there,
Thanks for using my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
Currently there is no such feature to export VPF terms and would require some custom work in order to let it work which will cost you few additional charges. Also, you have to delete all old VPF terms from backend before importing new CSV file because you are not about to add new terms but rather want to update existing terms.
Contact me at wpinstinct@gmail.com if you want to discuss it further.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello,
I have a problem with the plugin. When I integrate the plugin via the shortcode, only make and year is displayed, although I have filled all columns in the CSV file. Model and engine is not displayed. Can you please help me with this?
Thanks!
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
You need to add these two additional parameters in shortcode in order to show Years and Engines dropdowns:
show_model="true" show_engine="true"
Here you can read more about the shortcode: http://vpfymm.wpinstinct.com/documentation/#shortcode
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Thank you very much! Now it works
You are welcome!

Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
It wouldn’t be possible for me to share backend details but if you provide me your email id then I can send you some screenshots from plugin’s backend panel. OR you can find all the backend screenshots on CodeCanyon also.
It would require some custom work in order to disable make column throughout the website. I would suggest yo to give a look at my another plugin where you can create levels of your own choice: https://codecanyon.net/item/wpce-woocommerce-parts-compatibility-editor/24115209
I will wait for your feedback.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hello, my filters stopped working when using version 3.1, I’m currently on 2.9, could this have anything to do with ”* Fixed search to work with all themes using pre_get_posts” ?
What to do ?
Hi there,
Thanks for using my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
I don’t think if it has stopped to work just because of pre_get_posts. Please provide me your website’s FTP and Admin details at wpinstinct@gmail.com so that I can check for the reason and fix it.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Hi, I am trying to update plugin version 2.9 to latest. After update it looses previous version settings and data. Can you guide in proper update procedure?
Hi there,
Thanks for using my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
It shouldn’t loss previous settings or data on update. Please provide me your website’s FTP and Admin details at wpinstinct@gmail.com so that I can check for the reason and fix it.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
These are the steps you need to follow in order to update this plugin:
1. Download latest version from CodeCanyon.
2. Remove/rename previous plugin directory through FTP.
3. Upload new plugin directory there.
4. That’s it!
Morning! First of all thank you for this plugin it’s great!
Quick question, I have a job of assigning over 3k + car parts to the VPF options on the Edit Product section. Is there a way that I can do this through a MySQL import, or a more automated method? I know my way around a MySQL pretty well, and I have been looking for the table where this data might be stored so I can export it and see if there was a way it could be done without me selecting them all one by one.
I wondered if this question had come up before.
Kind regards, and thanks in advance. Paul
Hi Paul,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
If you download sample CSV file from Import screen in backend, you will see last column for each in CSV file contains comma separated multiple product SKU’s. This is what you are looking for.
If you have imported a CSV file for vehicle makes/models already, then just add a new column in fifth position ( make sure its on fifth position always ) in same CSV file and import it again. It wouldn’t duplicate already imported terms before and will create their relation with products.
If you want to do it through mysql, then you have to read about how WordPress saves categories and their relationships with posts in database and you have to follow something similar because my plugin uses custom taxonomy for the purpose.
I hope it answers your query. Let me know if you still have any question for me.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Amazing, thank you. Really straight forward, thank you.
I’m thinking, on the chance that I do a large CSV import now, then assign a number of new products manually to the terms over the year. In the future I might need to do another large import of SKUs through the method mentioned above. Am I able to do an ‘export’ of the terms? So that I can work with an ‘up to date’ list.
Currently there is no such feature of export the terms so you have to keep a backup of CSV file which you import everytime. Adding this feature on your server would require custom work which will cost you some extra charges. Contact me at wpinstinct@gmail.com if you want to discuss it further. Thanks!
Good evening,
I hope everything is well with you. Once again, this module is a life saver, thank you. However following on from your previous email I have worked through all the products and got the SKU codes for them all. However when I upload them, it does it without fail, however it doesn’t assign it to the product.
The terms are all there, so I see that the import worked well. But I’m not sure if I have missed something obvious.
I’ll try and attached the CSV I am uploading, in case it is that. But seriously any help you can give would be really appreciated at this stage.
All the best, Paul
[UPDATE] – For all those reading my previous comment. Look into the VPF Settings, under the Admin tab. There is an option to choose between the SKU & Slug. Problem solved.
Great! Let me know if you still face any issue.
Please leave 5 star rating on CodeCanyon if you like this plugin and support.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have a multi-vendor store for auto parts and accessories and I have a marketplace plugin (WCFM) integrated. I just wanted to ask if this plugin will be compatible with WCFM and also the sellers need to assign what make/model/year/engine their parts will fit when they’ll be uploading the products via their seller panel, so how can that bit be integrated into their store panel? Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
Rishab
Hi Rishab,
Thanks for your interest in my plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
I didn’t get a chance to test this plugin with any multi-vendor plugin so wouldn’t be able to answer for your question. You can purchase this plugin, give it a try and let me know if you face any problem so that I can help you on this. Still doesn’t work for you, I would be happy to refund for your purchase.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Greetings,
I really am enjoying your plugin. I have an issue with sorting out the taxonomy though. Years sort order keeps getting messed up and changing the sort order under VPF (YMM) settings from newest to oldest or vice versa seem to have no affect. Is there a way to sort the taxonomy in descending or ascending order?
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
Please provide me your website’s FTP and Admin details at wpinstinct@gmail.com so that I can check for the reason and fix it. Make sure that you include the URL of page in email where you have placed finder widget.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Thanks for the quick reply. Appreciated. I figured out what was causing the problem: “Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order” plugin. Apparently it causes a conflict with VPF (YMM)’s sort by year feature. Deactivating it seems to solve the sort issue for now. Coming from Drupal really missing both the drag and drop and the weight based sortability though. These are built-in sorting features in Drupal. If you can offer at least the weight based sort feature with VPF that’ll be a winner IMHO. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
That’s great! Can you please explain me a bit about weight based sorting? I couldn’t understand that how would it work with taxonomies. Thanks!
Sure. Drupal gives you 2 options to sort by default. Drag and Drop and by Weight.
This is what the default drag and drop mode looks like: https://www.drupal.org/files/project-images/taxonomy_node_order.png When you click the “Show Row By Weights” at the upper right corner then you can sort the terms by its weight (from -50 to +50): https://i.stack.imgur.com/2Ir4L.pngLower values have the highest priority in the sort order and you can easily change the value anytime you like.
2020 (Row Weight: -50) – Honda (Row Weight: -50) —Civic (Row Weight: -35) —Accord (Row Weight 5) – Aston Martin (Row Weight 1)
You can use the Row Weight order not only for taxonomies but any type of nodes actually in Views.
How it looks like in phpMyAdmin: https://bit.ly/2GehrsgI did a quick image search on the net for the images above. But if you do a search yourself you’ll find more info.
Thanks.
I see what you mean but it wouldn’t be easy to add this feature in this plugin. It would require a lot of changes in existing database and also in files too which can cause conflicts for existing buyers. Also I think it will make the things for others a bit complicated while have an option for weight in CSV file too. Thanks!
I understand. Maybe this can be a good idea for a new, separate plugin though. Especially for people coming from Drupal. I see tons of CPT plugins and talk on the WP side of things, marketed as if it is something new. Well CPT is basically Views in Drupal and that is what Drupal is basically based on. So I bet there’s a good market for weight based nodes and entities over at WP.
I like this concept but will wait for a few more buyers who request for this feature before I make any plan on it. Thank you!
Are you able to style this plugin using Elementor? Also can the search be displayed in a horizontal display or is it only as a side bar search?
Hi there,
Thanks for your interest in my plugin. I would be happy to assist you.
I can help you to style the filter a bit. Please provide me your website URL and tell me the style you like so that I can check it once.
Regarding horizontal layout, there is an option in shortcode/widget for it but still would require some CSS to fit better within your theme layout.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Is there a way to add “sub-model” to the import and dropdown? For example: Year: 2018 Make: Jeep Model: Wrangler JK Submodel: Sport Engine: <blank in this example>
There’s also an “Unlimited Rubicon”, “Rubicon”, “Unlimited Sahara”, “Sahara” and “Unlimited Sport”. This would make it easier to import the data from ACES/PIES.
Hi there,
Thanks for purchasing my plugin. I would be happy to help you.
Are you looking to add one more level in existing plugin for Sub Models? If yes the it would require some custom work in order to get another level there. OR If you don’t require Engines level anymore, then you can simply rename it with Sub Models.
Thanks, WP Instinct Team
Thanks for the reply! I’ll message you privately about the custom work
Replied. Please check.
Hello,
Support for Japanese environment of csv import
I want to use this plugin in a Japanese environment. However, if you do your CSV import, Japanese characters will be garbled. Can you tell me how to import correctly?
Thank you,
