We disabled all but the essential plugins for the site and we discovered that if we selected “GRID” as the display method in our shortcode the automatic scrolling to the bottom of the page does not occur. When we select “WALL” for the display with only the most essential plugins enabled in the site, the page scrolls automatically to the bottom.

So at this point we are at an impass because the client wants the wall format. Suggestions?

As long as this problem is not seen and reported before by any other customer this problem for sure in result of a Javascript codes conflicts on your website. I mean the wall JS codes is getting conflicted with some other codes on your website.

FYI—found the issue it appears to be with the Unyson Framework plugin. As soon as I turned that off the Wall started behaving properly so I’ve popped off a ticket to them.

How often does the plugin update instagram hashtags?
It depends on the Cache Time value you have set within the plugin settings page.

And once it gets the update does it show on the front end or it requires a page reload?
In fact it is not real-time but, the plugin has a Stream Auto Refresh feature that it can refresh the social stream automatically every 5 minutes. But, we do not recommend this for getting feeds from too many accounts as the feature will disable the plugin cache and make your page slow.

Please check the following:

1. Make sure you have enabled your using layout within Stream Settings > Enabled Layouts tab.

2. Make sure the Stream Theme you have selected within Stream Settings > Display Setting tab is supported for the layout you selected. Some of themes are only created to be used on grid or carousel layouts.

3. Try using the Social Stream Shortcodes from the Manage Streams page instead of using visual composer widget.

I also see, the plugin assets at the top of this page are commented and they are again added in the bottom of page lacking linking to grid.min.css file! Did you customize something?

Yes, our plugin can get your Instagram feed in 2 ways:

1. Using the Instagram official API. This way you can only get the feed from Instagram accounts which you have connected to the plugin.

2. Using the unofficial method. This way you can feeds from any other Instagram accounts which you have not listed under your connected account(s) too but, this method may not work only if your website server IP is getting banned by Instagram.

At the moment you can not include the WordPress posts into the grid. We plan to add it in the future release but, you can add you website RSS feed into the plugin and this way you can include your WordPress posts within the social stream.
