The ticker should still be working well, regardless of the support expiration. Give me a link to the page so that I can look over it.

Purchasing additional support is optional, it does not affect the working of the plugin. It is useful when you need specific assistance or a lot of help with something. There should be an option on the plugin page to buy only additional support.

From your message, I am getting the impression you are referring to the WP plugin version, is this correct? This comments section is for the jQuery plugin version. Just wanted to clarify this.

I have made an update to the ticker. I have added a new setting called “twitterExcludeReplies” to be able to exclude replies from the returned Twitter feed.

The new files are live on the marketplace, please download them again.

In the “load-twitter.html” example file, now you can see the “twitterExcludeReplies” setting available. It is false by default, you can set it to true instead.

Can you link me the page so that I can look over the source code?

You have to look in the wowonder documentation or contact their support and ask them how to add a jQuery plugin on their product.

The instructions to adding the ticker to an HTML page are at the top of every template file, in the page source code, and require adding only the HTML code and the asset files to the page.

Regarding your page, I looked over the source code. You copy pasted all of the HTML code from the ticker example file at the very top of your file, before the “html” tag. That is not valid HTML. Please see the instructions at the top of the ticker example file source code, it says where to put each piece of code.

I need to look over a page where you tried to add the ticker to see what the problems are. I don’t see any ticker code at the above link. So either create a new page or try to add it at the above link and then let me know so that I look over the page source code.

I haven’t worked with Sngine, but all that is needed to make the ticker work is to add the HTML code and the CSS and JS files to the page. If you can do that with Sngine, then you will have no problem.

If you would like to use the ticker on WordPress, there is a WP plugin version available here (the price difference is only $2): Modern News Ticker for WordPress

I would recommend using that as it was built specifically for WordPress and has all of the customization options directly in the admin.

Regarding the plugins that you have mentioned, I have not use them and I cannot speak about their possibilities. You will have to look through their descriptions and examples to get a better feel about how they are.

What is needed to add the ticker (this jQuery plugin version on which we are) to the page is to add the HTML markup code, the JS build code and the CSS and JS asset files. If the above plugins can do that, then they should work well.

Thanks you for your advice. I have removed the eorror, but ticker is still not working.

The ticker is displaying the message: “Error: Empty response.”

I am looking into the build settings now and will replicate it on my end to see why the response from Twitter is empty.

I tested the same settings that you have on my side and everything loads and displays well.

I cannot say what stops the loading on your site without investigating directly.

If you would like me to look into it, I can but I will need temporary FTP access to your site, to where I can upload the ticker files and test so that I can see exactly what the returned response is. Regarding your question question: The ticker has a default max-width of 1000px. Go to your theme CSS file and add the following to disable the max-width:

div.modern-ticker {
    max-width: none;
}

Also, I saw that you added the following style that changes the width. Remember to remove this as it is not needed:

.modern-ticker {
    width: 120% !important;
}
