Hey, I’ve purchased your script. But seems it doesn’t work anymore. Regular, light even youtube player doesn’t works.
Hey, Take a look. You’r script have this prob – http://prntscr.com/nvz0u4
How can I make it work?
Thanks for purchasing!
Are you running the player locally without a server?
Hi, Just purchased Vimuse and trying to get the playlistData option to work. (I have verified that the playlistURL is working). Can you send me a code snippet showing how to format this correctly? Thanks, Dan
The playlistData option accepts an object that has the same structure for the json that you pass to playlistURL. Note that you will need to set playlistURL: '' when using playlistData.
That was the problem! Works now . . . except I am not getting the audio on the mp4. Any thoughts? I have the getID3Info set to false.
BTW, the encoding for my mp4 is video=H.264 audio=AC3
The audio codec could be the issue, try changing it to mp3
Mp3 works fine. Now another problem – the video controls are not accessible until about 10% of the video has been loaded. Can I make the controls accessible from the start of the video?
I need a link to your page to inspect the problem.
Some script in your page is not loading for me, so that prevents the plater from loading.
Try it now – it should load faster.
The player loaded now for me, and I didn’t see any issue with the controls. They showed up at the same time the player got loaded.
Looking into it a little deeper . . . it turns out to be a Chrome problem. Mediaelement working fine in other browsers, but Chrome is buggy. I can get the video control bar visibility to sort of work by setting controlsTimeoutMouseEnter:1000 in the mediaelement-and-player.min.js file. However the option to turn off autoplay does not work at all in Chrome – the videos don’t load if autoplay=false.
The latest version of Chrome seems to be buggy. Hopefully a new fixed version will be released soon.
I am in the process of securing my website with an ssl certificate. however, the vimuse plugin is causing my media pages to be flagged as “Connection is not secure”. Would you care to direct me to the appropriate resolution for this issue. Thank you for your time and knowledge.

I see two warnings in your page related in insecure connection. One is coming from a background image file used in the player, and from the path it looks like you or some plugin uploaded it to a cdn and the current path has “http” in it.
The second warning is coming from the mp3 path, which I think will be solved once you clear the player’s cache file which will cause the player to rescan the mp3 folder and generated new paths.
Thank you kindly. It is solved as per your advice.
Is it possible for an update because the player is not rendering correctly in iOS 12. Thank you in advance.
I tried the player in iOS 12 and saw no issues. What issue are you experiencing?
Control buttons do not appear (shuffle, loop etc). http://www.rockmissionary.org/Media%20Resource/me-hymnsunset.php
The problem is happening in desktop browsers also, and I think it is because you (or some plugin you used) created a sprite image for all the background images of the player and the resulting background positions are not correctly set. Please use the original css code provided with the player to make all the icons show up.
I did not think the sprite image would cause this issue. I did so to reduce the number of request. I will revert it. Thanks for the prompt response.
Hi Recently in the past months the player stops loading. It was working well since we purchased this app.
Peculiar thing is it works with some tabs and doesn’t work with others. http://radio882.com/language/tamil/#tab-id-1 Even if it does work it rarely opens the first time and then after a refresh of page it doesn’t load. Mp3’s in the folder are 40kbps, 24 khz sample, mono. I have downloaded new copy of the js folder and put them on the server. Still this is the case. Also even if cache is disabled or not it is the same thing. The “perfect-scrollbar-with-mousewheel.min.js” plugin that is included with the package is not being loaded and the browser is returning 404 error for it. Check that you are referencing that plugin in the page from the correct path.
Okay all the 404 errors are fixed by adding the required js files. Still the errors continue. Thank you very much for your help on this
I see now that the php script for scanning a folder of mp3 files is returning 500 error. Check you server error logs to find the cause of this error.
Issue remains – I downloaded new file set, unzipped and reinstalled. Only the regular.html is an issue because of the YouTube entry in the JSON link. I replace the YT link with a current and functioning video share link but it still does not work. My YT key is correct and in place (the youtube.html playlist works fine). If I remove the YOUTUBE entry from the JSON file, everything works. Also – I might suggest an update that handle a broken youtube link differently. Its pretty unusable if someone take a YT video offline and your entire JSON playlist is rendered useless. This would be a great addition to improve the UX. Lastly I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT, I realize that the support is a hassle and a thankless effort bu people who purchase your scripts. ALSO – I do not mind paying you a fee to do some of the trouble shooting. I will probably want to create a different layout and may need some support that extends beyond your TOA, Let me know if you are available for a few paid freelance modifications.
The new video url that you used is not in the correct format since “https://youtu.be/xxxxx” url’s are not supported. Please see the provided documentation for the correct format. You can use the new Youtube video url that is now used in the demos to check that the demo works.
I fixed the AUTOPLAY (I apologize for the bonehead question
but as I am playing with the new download, I have come across an issue. I cannot get the YOUTUBE video to play in the REGULAR (mixed) list. I have my Key configured properly as it works fine in the YOUTUBE playlist. I know it is an issue with the YT JSON entry, because it works fine when I remove only the YT entry – the audio works, the vimeo works, and the others work, but when I add back in the YT JSON entry it will not load properly – simply spins the preloader – any suggestions?
Thanks for purchasing!
I need a link to your page to inspect the problem.
But it does not work on the REGULAR link above…
Also – if I remove the YouTube from the JSON file, then it works fine, so it has to be something with the JSON youtube entry?
Here it is the REGULAR list with the YouTube entry removed: (and you see it works?) http://pin.media/regular_wo_yt.htmlThank you for you assistance!

You have an old version of the demo. In there the sample Youtube video that was used was suddenly removed from Youtube servers and caused the demo to break, so it has since been updated. If you download the updated package again from CodeCanyon then you will see that the demo is working.
Two questions: 1) how do I make the player auto play? Both from the very beginning AND after one video ends? Right now I have to click the play button after the page loads, then after the first video ends, it stops and I have to click play again. I want it to auto run. 2) I realize “customization’ is not included in support, but are you available to customize for additional freelance fees? I want a simple three col set up – player in col 1, playlist in col 2 and my “news’ content in col 3. I know you have a right col playlist setup, but I do NOT want to restrict the playlist to the height of the video, I want it to be a running list down the page. Thank you for your support. David

This clearer if you play a audio track.
I tried the player in Firefox and the poster seems to resize nicely there. Note that the player has a min-width of 320px set in the css.
I am experiencing huge differences in functionality between different browsers. Safari works perfectly, Chrome slowly, Firefox unreliably, and Opera not at all.

I see that you haven’t enabled the caching feature of the player, which speeds up the loading process. But I tested the player in Chrome, Firefox and Safari, and it works fine there.
As to the xml parsing error message in Firefox, it is happening because your server isn’t setting the correct mime-type for the playlist json.
I didn’t see any warning message in Chrome regarding scroll event listener, but if you see those then you can ignore them.
Thanks! Fixed most of the issues.
Where is the link to the support!!!
If you have any queries then please post them here in the comments section, or you can send me a message through the message box in my profile page.
Oki! Thanks
HI i’ve bought your plugin, and i’m trying to have it working on a simple page.
This is the JS code: <script> $(’#player’).vimuse({ mediaType: ‘video’, playlistURL: ’/contents/file_vid/sample.json’, }); </script>
This is the simple json i’m using: [ { “title”: “Youtube Video – Earth Zoom To The Milky Way Galaxy”, “type”: “youtube”, “link”: “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDSXvJ0sKhY” } ]
I got the loading icon but not the video. What am i wronging?
Thanks for purchasing!
Did you add the the Youtube api key? If you did and it is still not working then I will need the link to the page where the player is embedded.
Hi cosmocoder,
How can I get the playlist items to NOT be movable? At present they can be moved into a different order and I want to stop that. Thanks for any help you can give me!
You need to disable the enablePlaylistSort option (more details in the provided documentation).
Thank you!
Hi, I am having an issue with getting images to fit the poster area of the player, they are getting cropped. Can’t find anything in the documentation about getting the posters to fit the player window or anything about responsive images for mobile devices. Could you please advise? Much appreciated.
The images will be made to fit inside the poster area, while maintaining the aspect ratio. If their aspect ratio doesn’t match that of the poster area then there will be some cropping. You can use custom css to change the styling of the images.
”. If their aspect ratio doesn’t match that of the poster area then there will be some cropping.” So what is the aspect ratio then? The default that I can use so there will be no cropping?
Aspect ratio of 16:9 is used
No I have the “Vimuse – HTML5 Media Player”
Hi,
In the documentation you provide (guidelines.md) there is mention of the file:
‘mediaelementplayer-feature-tracks.js’
In this section, starting on line:46 : ”...
As a final note, try to be aware of building it thinking on Accessibility. Take a look into `mediaelementplayer-feature-tracks.js` for more reference about best practices. ...”
Have searched the path and the file is not there, nor is it anywhere in the downloaded project I got from you.
Where can I get this reference file?
Regards
Did you purchase the Wordpress plugin version of Vimuse? If so please post your comment in that item’s comments section.
Thanks cosmocoder!!!
Why do you have a ‘Testimonial’ Carousel/Slider built in to this but absolutely NOTHING in the documentation about it? I ask because its throwing an error on page load: ”... main.js:65 Uncaught TypeError: $(...).owlCarousel is not a function at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (main.js:65) ...”
The player doesn’t have any carousels, and certainly doesn’t include the Owl Carousel plugin. Your error must be coming from somewhere else.
Ok thanks!!
Hi, Can I run the player on the latest versions of jquery (jquery-3.3.1) and Bootstrap 4? I noticed some issues and those are only 2 files i am using that are different from what you have in the source folder. There it is jquery-1.11.3.min.js.
Thanks for our help!
Yes, you can use jQuery v3, the plugin is compatible with it.
Hello ,
please i want to buy your HTML5 player but please i want to ask important question before buying it , I want to use your HTML5 for my embed videos from ok.ru , and I want to prevent my visitors to watch it on ok.ru ( to watch it on my site ! )
So I want to hide ok icon that redirect visitors to ok.ru when they click on it + hide the title of the video that redirect visitors to ok.ru when they click on it + hide share button that contain the link and the embed code of ok.ru !
So my question : is your HTML5 player can do that ? and if yes , can you show me an example please on embed video from ok.ru using your HTML5 player ?
And Thanks very much on advance .. and waiting your reply .
This player has only been tested with self-hosted video files and with videos from Youtube, Vimeo and Dailymotion.
Can you display ads during playback (mid-roll)?
Sorry, that is not supported.
