I’m running WP 5.0.3 and WP Bakery VC 5.6. Having disabled Gutenberg through the Bakery VC option, I’m still not seeing the Bakery VC interface while in the back-end editor of a page. I’ve tried every combination in the Role Manager. All I get is the visual editor displaying white HTML text with a white background. Is there a fix to this?

I have extended support for this item via my Envato account but when I log into my WP Bakery account it says support is expired.
Hello, Since the support is extended via codecanyon, in this case, you should import the renewal into your WPBakery account. To do so, you can login into: support.wpbakery.com/login If you are not sure about the login details, then use the reset password option and use the email id associated with your codecanyon account. Once logged in, navigate to licenses page and click on “import it” option at the bottom of the page. It will then prompt you to login into codecanyon to complete the import. You can then see the support tenure reflected into the account.

Hey Guys, I’m using Visual Composer 5.6 on one of my sites https://ultimatebanners.co. But I’ve had to install and enable the “Classic Editor” plugin for Visual Composer to work properly with WordPress V 5.0.3. My question is – Is this something you’re going to fix in future releases of your plugin? – or will plugin users always need to install https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/ to stop the Gutenberg page editor taking over the page and hiding your page UI ?
Ideally we don’t want to have to install a plugin to make your plugin work.
P.S I’m a big fan of your plugin, thanks for making my life easier!
Thanks, Ben Owner/WP Developer at – https://www.slibdesign.com
Hi, The latest version of WPBakery Page Builder (5.6) already has an option to disable the Gutenberg editor under WPBakery Page Builder -> General Settings. You can use this option from the plugin instead of adding a separate plugin at your end.

I recently added the Envato Market plugin to a WordPRess site for theme updates. Since then, the WP Bakery Page Builder is not responding. The page that I used WP Bakery Page Builder on is now all code and not the editing blocks. How do I change that back to the WP Bakery Format for editing and what caused it to change to code?
Hello, Please make sure that you are running the latest version of WPBakery Page Builder which is 5.6 and the Gutenberg editor is disabled under WPBakery Page Builder -> General Settings.

It’s very frustrating that your Role Permissions > Post types settings are not persistent. Those specific settings constantly get reset on their own while the rest of the settings below in the forms are persistent. I don’t understand why your plugin simply refuses to save/persist the Post types settings in Role Manager. When Googling this issue it seems I’m not the only one to come across this issue.

I’d have to renew my support fee in order to make a ticket. Also, any comment about this? “Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user’s experience. For more help, check https://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/."
Also, The Gutenberg editor popup is missing all the sidebar options like font size, etc. If I click the Gutenberg button instead of editing the Gutenberg element in Page Builder, what happens is Gutenberg wraps the Page Builder code a P tag and so I have to click classic mode to remove those four P tags (caused by 1 Gutenberg element) and then click back to Page Builder background editor. This is not a good workflow for users. I can handle it just fine even though it’s annoying, but my authors will not tolerate jumping through hoops. Do you plan to add those adjustment selections in your Gutenberg popup when editing the Gutenberg element?
Hello, The Gutenberg editor and WPBakery Page Builde editor both works with the default WordPress content area and hence there can be an issue between the two. It is for the same reason, we have added an option under plugin general settings to disable the Gutenberg editor. We also have a Gutenberg editor in the add element option which allows you to access the Gutenberg functionality by adding the content via page builder editor. Regarding the role manager issue, if the support has expired, ten you can renew it under your account to send us a ticket and share your temporary login details in it, so that it can be investigated further.

Right, thank you, but what I mean is you really might want to consider adding the Gutenberg control options (usually in the sidebar widget when editing) to your Gutenberg element popup settings. As font size, color, background, etc which are in the controls widget but those controls are not available on your Gutenberg element editor. Because of this I’m not going to enable Gutenberg on my site for other users. Instead I’m using TinyMCE Advanced to disable Gutenberg and add the extra functionality I need in the classic editor. But I wouldn’t need an additional plugin for this if your Page Builder had those Gutenberg controls in the element popup. That’s all I was trying to say. Thank you
Also, one more side note… It’s driving me nuts but something in is adding body{padding-top:65px;padding-bottom:20px; to uploads/js_composer/custom.css which creates a blank bar at the top of all webpages under the dashboard tool. I don’t have any settings I’m aware of in Page Builder that has padding-top:65px;padding-bottom:20px; when I googled this issue I found other people online in older posts that had the same random padding issue that was added to their headers by Page Builder. So, by chance are you familiar with this issue from other clients and do you happen to know what keeps adding this to the main body CSS in that custom css file??? Thank you
Hello, We will add it onto our list, to check if such options can be added onto our Gutenberg element in future. The custom.css file is added when you have a page custom CSS added via WPBakery Page Builder -> custom CSS. Please check the code you have in this area to comment out the non-required code at your end.

Thank you, I checked and couldn’t find any custom CSS in any row or any page or post. Do you have a function that will wipe all custom CSS declared in VC as you wrote above? I have a feeling that if it’s not directly in VC that maybe it’s the impreza theme or addons but I have not declared any custom CSS like that in the theme or addons. It’s got me stumped. But if you have a function I can add or SQL command to wipe all custom CSS in VC rows/elements, that would rule out page builder itself. I know the theme hooks into VC, as well as some of the addon plugins. Thank you
Hello, You can delete the file directly from the uploads/js_composer/ directory. Do make sure to download and keep a backup of it at your end.

That’s not at all what I meant or what I was asking. Correct me if I’m wrong but Custom.css in that folder is generated by your plugin. Deleting it doesn’t solve the issue because the exact same file gets generated again. I’m asking if there’s an SQL query or anything that can be done to wipe all custom added CSS to Page Builder elements and rows. I need a full wipe while maintaining the unrelated Page Builder settings and configurations.
Found the table, it’s wpb_js_custom_css in the wordpress options tables. I search the entire database as well as all source in all files. The top header padding issue was only in the wpb_js_custom_css entry in the beginning. Don’t know what put it there but it shouldn’t have been left in there when updating any page builder post right?

Hello there,
I have a problem with the Video button element in Visual Composer.
I can install the element and it appears on the required page very well, but when clicked it does not play the video. All that happens is that the screen goes dark and the you see the spinning wheel.
Is there any way to resolve this? I am entering the video url in the format
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7PIpCry64wcould it be anything to do with an incorrectly formatted URL?
I cannot find any specific documentation to help with it’s specific usage so sorry for contacting you this way. If you have any ideas please do let me know.
I have sent some screenshots that would be great to send across to you showing what happens.
Hi, The “Video button” is not a standard element of the plugin. It is most likely added by the theme or a third party add-on used at your end. You can check the standard plugin elements by creating an online demo here: https://wpbakery.com/try

Hello Team,
I am submitting a bug here:
Design options do not work after changing and preview. Below you can check the steps to replicate for row or any other shortcode where design options is available:
1. Add top padding of 100px and save page. It is showing 100px of padding fine. 2. Edit page and change top padding to 200px, click preview, it will show 200px top padding in preview. 3. Reload the edit page without saving, so in design options tab it will show 100px but in actual front page, it do not display 100px of top padding also.
As per my review custom css class name get changed and hence previous value also do not affect in front.
Thanks,
ThemeZaa

Hello Team,
We can see you have fixed above issue in 5.7 – Page preview styles independent from view page. But when you edit WooCommerce product / custom post type post and add any value in design options tab and then preview, it shows notices like below on screen:

Hi, it appears the “Default template for post types” in General Settings isn’t working. I loaded a default template in a page, amended it and saved it as custom template, set it as the default for posts but it’s being ignored. What am I doing wrong, or does it simply just not work?

Hello there. Just a quick question: has anything changed lately about how vc_map works? I use that to map a shortcode to Page Builder in a plugin of ours and the element is just not listed anymore.
On one site it’s still there, on the other it isn’t. On each PB itself is 5.6, Ultimate Add-ons are 3.17., The7 (theme it was bundled with) is 7.3.2 and Wordpress is 5.0.2. Any ideas?
I know, no support as we only got that bundled and I’m not asking for you to delve deeper in it – but I thought you might have an idea

Hello,
I have an issue when adding media grid via visual composer in a template of custom post type (i add it by using its shortcode), the grid is not shown only the loading sign of the grid appears and i got this error in the console: “Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: {“status”:”Nothing found”} at Function.fa.error (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2)” But the grid works fine when opening the page in the preview mode and also works fine when using it in a normal page, the issue only occurs in case of custom post type.

Dear WPBakery Team,
One client of us is having a weird issue with Post Grid element. I have tested if its a theme problem but however it has to do with the loading of images which is handled by your JavaScript so I wanted to discuss about this problem.
I have accessed the website with Safari and saw a weird problem on loading the images using Post Grid, it stuck for 3-4 minutes (happened only on Safari):
https://d.pr/v/886rtz
https://d.pr/v/aZpcTP
The reason why Post Grid is not initialized is because the images are loading constantly as shown in the video.
Do you have any idea why this problem is happening?
Kind regards,
Arlind
