I purchased the plugin some days ago and I have a question. Is there a way I can control the URL sent in the email message? Right now it adds a link by default. The problem is that I don’t want to include the image in the message and I prefer to get the link there so they’ll have to come to my website to it.

There is no option right now, but as more people requested this, I’ll add a switch inside the plugin’s options to show/hide the image and add a Call-to-Action link. Estimated time, end of this week.

I believe I sent you a note regarding this issue a few weeks ago. Is there any way you can integrate reCaptcha (http://www.google.com/recaptcha) into this instead of the base captcha form you currently have? That won’t stop the robots if the answer is always the same.

There is also a “honeypot” field inside the form that will stop the both in 99% of the cases. I will have to look into integrating reCaptcha into the plugin.

Create a new post or page, add an image, and add the eCard shortcode. That’s it.
The emails I’m receiving show this:
{Sender\'s name} {Sender\'s email} {Sender\'s message} ... {eCard URL}Instead of filling out the information for name, image, url, etc., it’s merely putting the variables there in the email itself. So, instead, I just decided not to customize it at all (didn’t put anything in the Email template. That works. So as long as I don’t try to change the wording, it’s fine. But putting that into the template bombs it out.

Everything is showing fine, after you send the card, is the recipient supposed to see the image in their e-mail? Unfortunately it’s not showing and the message is also not pulling out the correct info. Please can you direct us with some help.

There seems to be a big problem there. Try to deactivate all plugins, and leave only eCards. See if it works. Then reactivate your plugins, one by one, and try eCards after each of them. See which one causes the problem and report back here. I will be away ‘til next week, so don’t worry. We’ll fix it.

Try adding the info into the footer section, inside the email template. See plugin options.

I’m not sure what the php would be to grab the user’s www. Nor do I know where to place it in that there are two places where the addittional info appears. I tried a bunch of php and could not get it to work for users, user_url (something like that).
This way, my private users could have their key info under the additional info. It would be a nice adder for your plugin.

Hi, I was able to find a plugin for some user fields, but it does not get sent with the ecard. I’m not sure which script is needed. I would guess the user fiields need to be in up to 4 places. Any ideas? J
You’d need to add more fields to the plugin itself, not another plugin. I cannot help you, as this would break the current plugin’s purpose.

I found where I could edit, but I cant locate where I could edit the size and color.
Can some tell me where I could change the size of the message?

1. sometimes the email dosent go out until a few hours later. is there any reason why? or is there anything I should to have the email sent instantly?
2. I also notice the email gets blocked by spam filter. is there any way around that?

Hi, first of all, the sending duration may be a fault of your server. Maybe it has a queue. Second, sometimes, some mail clients send the mail in spam. You need to help it by clicking “Not Spam”. Next time, it will land in your inbox. Email clients, as well as Gmail and Yahoo learn about this and share it among their users.

In summary, hand posting resulted in all cards on the page beingt sent. CSV Importer of the above resulted in the same—all cards were sent with the same greeting, though I only wanted to send one.
I ask I will be bulk uploading lots of ecards. I need to know how best to set up the upload csv. That’s why I posted it above.

You need to find a plugin that imports posts from CSV . That’s all. The plugin works with posts having at least one image.
If you find a plugin that does that, you only need to add the shortcode.

So, you have a category and 3 posts. You should have this:
CATEGORY 1: -> POST 1 - IMAGE + SHORTCODE -> POST 2 - IMAGE + SHORTCODE -> POST 2 - IMAGE + SHORTCODE
It should send ONLY ONE card. Give me a link to your WordPress.

Few things: I’m using WP 3 .3.1 1) Captcha just says, “Type the first 3 letters of spam” Is that okay? 2)The card settings page says I’m using version 1.5.1, but the plugins page shows version 1.5.2 and there is no prompt to upgrade 3)Do the cards all have to be the same size, or can they vary?

1. Yes, that is correct, you should type “spa” in the box. 2. I guess that’s a bug. It should be fixed in the next version. 3. They need to be the same size. This limitation will be removed in the next version.

If you want to modify the sender’s address, there are many free plugins that do this. My plugin uses the default WordPress address and mail function, in order not to deceive recipients.

If I want to bulk upload, must I create these versions, or just the full size as defined in the dashboard?

HI, Since this post I learned that I can upload 1 image via FTP and it works. Also, CSV Importer plugin works to upload to the blog. I tested with 1, then 2 and it worked. I’m assuming I can do hundreds + Cheers, J

The [ecard] shortcode works inside posts. So you need to create a post, domain.com/your-nice-ecard/ and place an image and the shortcode there.
You are supposed to have the posts already created.
