Continue as Guest button
Hi, Is it possible to have two columns on the login page? Left side with Login / Register Right side with the continue as guest button (which i have added via your document code)
Hi @jondc847201,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Sure, there is a built-in Login/Register Step (two layouts) which displays the original woocommerce login/register forms, please read more about this in our online documentation: Show Register on the Login Step.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or further assistance is needed please send us an email at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

Hey, Team!
May you help me out with a task that I’m trying to achieve? I added custom step named “shipping” in tab number 2. So that way, the user could use shipping method and then fill necessary billing/shipping details in tab 3 for selected shipping method. So the question remains how to display shipping selection and then save variable for billing/shipping details? Any help would be appreciated

Hello, we obtained your plugin and worked fine for serveral months. Then recent got calls that customers could not login in (BAD !!) Disabling plugin: login now works ok again with disabled plugin. Then tried updating plugin: had to do it all manually (are we really already 2019?) After upgrading to last version still no login possible. What’s next?
Hi @tedocnl,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Most probably there might be a caching problem on your side because till now we didn’t receive any issue regarding the login functionality (please remember what other changes did you make because we didn’t alter this functionally from almost a year and half, so it can’t stop working after a while). More of that, the login and registration functionalities are so well implemented cause some of our customers asked us to make them as a separate plugin to be used on their My Account page too. The checkout forms and fields, including their styles (login, register, coupon, billing, shipping, payment methods…) are and work like on your default checkout page, we only transform them into a multistep for a better user experience during purchase.
Also for updating the plugin you can choose one of the following options:
Update via FTP – This is the safest way. If you have access via FTP to your site files, you can replace the plugin files with the updated ones. Just go to wp-content/plugins/arg-multistep-checkout and replace the files with the ones on the zip of the updated plugin.
Update via Wordpress Admin – From the tests performed, you can deactivate and delete the plugin on the Plugin’s administration page of Wordpress and upload and active the updated files. This operation should not affect the entries you have already made. However, we recommend the FTP solution, because it’s safer.
Automatic Updates? Consider using the ‘Envato Market’ plugin available here: http://envato.github.io/wp-envato-market/
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or further assistance is needed please send us your site url at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

Hello, I would like to know if I have to leave only one field to register the email in the first step and in the second step put the delivery + payment forms together in a tab totaling 2 tabs (register email and address and payment)
Hi @niltoncorr,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Sure, you can alter the checkout forms and fields (login, register, coupon, billing, shipping, order review, payment methods…) as you need because they are and work like on your default checkout page, we only transform them into a multistep for a better user experience during purchase. In order to remove fields from woocommerce checkout page please follow this online topic: Remove Checkout Fields.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or further assistance is needed please send us an email at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

Hi!
Presales question: I’m in Germany. Here the client is required to check a box to accept the terms and conditions before he can click the buy button. Can this be done with your plugin?
Thanks!
Hi @Jolopu,
Thank you for your interest in ARG Multistep Checkout.
Yes, the checkout forms and fields (login, coupon, billing, shipping, order table, payment methods…including the terms and condition checkbox) will be and work like on your default checkout page, we only transform them into a multistep for a better user experience during purchase.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask or send us an email at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

Thanks for the quick reply! I bought a license. So far the plugin works fine. I still got one question: How can I combine {coupon_form} and {billing_form} into one single step?
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Please send us an email at support@argthemes.com with this request and we will provide you the entire code for this feature. Thank you!

Hello, I have a few issues I hope you can help with. I’ve prepared a few screenshots.
Screenshot 1 Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/izi810yz8ea9lzb/Checkout-page-problems_reigster.png?dl=0
1. The “Skip” button. How do I remove this? I don’t see an option to do that in the backend. I have tried removing the text however this just shows a small button with no text.
Screenshot 2 Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mnp46cimueli7cs/Checkout-page-problems.png?dl=0
1. Is there a way to make these columns align? I have added custom code to the functions file already as the text for variations didn’t overflowed and looked bad on smaller devices. Here’s the code in case it’s useful:
/**
* Removing attribute values from Product variation title
*/
add_filter( 'woocommerce_product_variation_title_include_attributes', 'variation_title_not_include_attributes' );
function variation_title_not_include_attributes( $boolean ){
if ( ! is_cart() )
$boolean = false;
return $boolean;
}
/**
* Display Product variation attributes label and values in separate rows
*/
add_filter( 'woocommerce_is_attribute_in_product_name', 'remove_attribute_in_product_name' );
function remove_attribute_in_product_name( $boolean){
if ( ! is_cart() )
$boolean = false;
return $boolean;
}
2. The “Continue Shopping” button is in a very strange place. I would like to have this as the purchase button (outlined in box 3) 3. Swap this button for button shown in 2.
I have tried using the theme and non-theme options but issues persist.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi @azuzit,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Regarding your questions:
1. The “Skip” button. How do I remove this? I don’t see an option to do that in the backend. I have tried removing the text however this just shows a small button with no text.
If you want to remove the “Skip Login” button and to force users to login or register before proceed to the next step please have a look at our online documentation at Wizard Steps section, scroll down a bit and you will find Optionally Force Users to Login or Register chapter.
And for the second and third questions… this changes could be easily achieved with some custom styles edits. Please send us your site url and this request at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

First of all, it is a very cool plugin!! Thanks for your work.
I have a short question. I am creating a new custom step using your plugin. I knew how to add a step with a shortcode like below. <?php echo do_shortcode( ‘[shortcode_name]’ ); ?>
However, I want to add a content on a new step by creating a new page. For example, if I add one new page via wordpress admin dashboard, I want to call the page as the new step contents. What code should I use in function.php file? I don’t have much knowledge about php codes, so please let me know as simple as you can.. Thank you so much.
Hi @icarus8275,
Thank you for the kind words, we love to hear you’re enjoying using the ARG Multistep Checkout!
Sure, in order to show the content from another page on the newly created step please follow this online guide: Show Content From Another Page.

Hello, I would like to know why I put the login side of the register the login does not appear, I think it is something related to the template {login_form} have how to fix it? and also wanted to know if he would not have an option to start registering with just the email.
Thank you very much
Hi @niltoncorr,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Probably the Login Form is not shown because the ”Enable Registration” option (navigate to Admin Dashboard -> WooCommerce -> Settings -> Accounts, scroll down a bit and here you will find Enable Registration option) from original WooCommerce plugin is unchecked, please read more about this here: Display Login on the Checkout Page. Please make sure the Login Form is shown on the default checkout page and it will be shown on the multistep too.
The checkout forms and fields (login, coupon, billing, shipping, order table, payment methods…) are and work like on your default checkout page, we only transform them into a multistep for a better user experience during purchase.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or further assistance is needed please send us an email at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

It looks like the coupon code doesn’t work the first time you hit apply. You have to hit it a second time to get it to show up. Also, if the price of the item hits zero it doesn’t change the verbiage of the button… it still says checkout with paypal.
Hi @GrowWithHype,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Please deactivate the multistep plugin and see how things are working on the default checkout page because the checkout forms and fields (login, register, coupon, billing, shipping, order review, payment methods…) are and work like on your default checkout page, we only transform them into a multistep for a better user experience during purchase.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or further assistance is needed please send us an email at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

I purchased this plugin a few days ago for my client, thank you for that, it’s what we’ve been looking for. I have a question on customizing the HTML.
Normally I’d take the template file and put it in /mytheme/woocommerce/checkout/.. folder to override the default template, but it doesn’t seem to be working – the changes I make in the file don’t reflect in front end (I need to add some existing classes). I’d rather not edit the files in the plugin folder as the changes might be overwritten in a plugin update. Can you please advise? Thank you!
Hi @dana-s,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Sure, you can edit form-checkout.php file in an upgrade-safe way using overrides. Copy it into a directory within your theme named /woocommerce, keeping the same file structure.
To override the form-checkout.php file navigate to wp-content -> plugins -> arg-multistep-checkout -> woocommerce, copy the form-checkout.php file, and then navigate to wp-content -> themes -> yourtheme -> woocommerce -> checkout and paste the copied form-checkout.php file there (the copied file will now override the plugin form-checkout.php template file.). After that, open the copied file and add the text you need on each step(it’s easy to identify a step because there are cases for each step: case “order”, case ‘order_payment’, case ‘order_review’. Also, above each step is a comment with the the step name like ”//Order review step”). Please don’t forget to turn on the built-in option ”Overwrite WooCommerce form-checkout.php plugin template” located in plugin / general settings.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or further assistance is needed please send us an email at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you.Thank you!

I am having an issue where the country dropdown selection will not work in chrome when adding a new address in the modal popup at checkout. I would like to completely disable the country selection and force United States to be the default country, as we only ship to US addresses. Could you please assist?
Hi @abcisme,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
Please deactivate the multistep plugin and see how things are working on the default checkout page because the checkout forms and fields (login, register, coupon, billing, shipping, order review, payment methods…) are and work like on your default checkout page, we only transform them into a multistep for a better user experience during purchase.
As far as we know, wooCommerce recommend to not change some types of special core fields (like country and state) in order to avoid issues and conflicts, please read more about this here: Checkout Field Editor.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or further assistance is needed please send us an email at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

Hello i bought your plugin and i think is really good i just see one small problem at it’s under billing and shipping, If a costumer enter a wrong input you have to click on the top line of the box in order to correct it and many people may not know how to do that. If you can help with this i’ll greatly appreciate.
Hi @jocp86,
Thank you for choosing ARG Multistep Checkout.
We validate the inputs on blur event (the event occurs when a user clicks anywhere outside of that input to check if is valid what he typed). This behavior is used by 99,99% of forms which needs fields validation (please read more about this here: Form Validation Event), users are accustomed to this so you shouldn’t worry about it.
Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or further assistance is needed please send us an email at support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to help you. Thank you!

Hi there,
I was hoping to get some assistance in swapping my billing and shipping so shipping is first, and billing second.
Have been working with a developer, but apparently flipping the two items is causing some issues with the validation of the fields.
Any help much appreciated, Thanks.
Hi @helloblooms,

Hi, Is it possible to move the shipping method to the top of the billing section. I have cut the shipping method from review-order.php to the top of billing form on form-checkout.php. it is working good with original woocommerce form-checkout.php. however I test few other multi step checkout plugins and paste the shipping method to the top of billing section on form-checkout.php of the plugins. they have little issue. one making the shipping method display on all the steps. one is missing the field verification before you can move to next step. Now I found your plugin and try to see if your plugin can add the shipping method to tje top of billing without create an custom step? Thank you.
Hi @steve8104,
Thank you for your interest in ARG Multistep Checkout.
Sure, it’s possible, the plugin is highly customizable because we used the best practices when we implemented it. After purchase, please send us an email at support@argthemes.com with this request and we will do our best to guide and help you.
