Dear CustomerSupport, I use VC on a few sites, all of them has it included in the theme but not all of them are keeping up to date. Can I use the js_composer.zip found in one theme to update the plugin in another theme? Would it be an infringement of the licence? Is there a risk of breaking the theme/site?
Hello, It might break the site if the version included in the theme is modified by the theme author and is not compatible with other theme.

Hello my client bought a theme that come with visual composer Version 5.4.5 and when I tried to edit a column in the tab design options I tried to change the border color and border style it does not save any idea why?

In Version 5.6 (used with impreza 5.5) the vc-element “single image” is used. After updating to next version the vc-element changes to “image”. And the result: some missing adjustments given to single image. Any information to take the right way for updating?
Hello, There can be an issue if the theme is modifying the standard image element of the WPBakery Page Builder.

I keep running into an error where Visual Composer doesn’t work with the new Gutenburg update. I’ve selected to disable Gutenburg in settings and and have the classic editor plugin installed. Basically it looks frozen on any Page when trying to edit – it only shows the Text editor and when I try to select the “Visual” tab, it does nothing. Is this an error with VC? Or possibly the newest WP Update? Thanks!

Hi, WordPress 5.0.1 + VC Version 5.6 >> all the blocks are fullwidth (default blocks that should be boxed are fullwidth for exemple). Is it due to WP 5 ? Thank you. J. Classic editor is activated, and the box “disable Gutenberg” in VC is checked.

Hello, we have bought the WPBakery page builder license in order to update the Visual composer plugin that we already have in our website, but when we put the API key and the license number it doesn’t work. Do we have to delete visual composer plugin from our website and upload WPBakery page builder plugin? or do we have desactivate Visual Composer plugin and upload WPBakery page builder plugin? and are we going to have problems with this change in our website? We don’t what we have to do, thank you!
Hello, The issue is because you are using an older version of WPBakery Page Builder (the rebranded Visual Composer Page Builder) with deprecated license activation and update method and should update it to the latest version which is 5.6. You need to deactivate and delete the older version of the plugin and then install the standalone version which is purchased by you. However, we would also suggest you to re-confirm the same with the theme author before proceeding, because if he has done any changes to the core plugin files, then they will be lost during this process.

Hello, The issue is because you have purchased it via codecanyon. In this case, you should import it into your WPBakery account. To do so, you can login into: support.wpbakery.com/login If you are not sure about the login details, then use the reset password option and use the email id associated with your codecanyon account. Once logged in, navigate to licenses page and click on “import it” option at the bottom of the page. It will then prompt you to login into codecanyon to complete the import.

hello,
I created a custom Wordpress addon. On that add on in the inc/functions.php file Im calling the vc_add_param() function. If I activate my main theme it works. But if I activate my child theme I get this error:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function vc_add_param()
Why this happens? Shouldnt the child theme use the not overwriten function of the main theme?

Hi, I get your great plugiin with the theme. Now, I want to reuse some section, row and columns on more that one page. In this case I use do_shortcode(‘section......’) BUt when I use the custom css it is not inlined as when the code is placed normally… SHould I use any filte or hooks insstead? Thans for your help.
