I just bought the license for your plugin. I was redirected to your support website to activate the license but after I made an account still no license active. Please let me know what I have to do to activate my license.

Hello, Since the license is purchased via codecanyon, in this case, you should import the license into your WPBakery account. To do so, you can login into: support.wpbakery.com/login If you are not sure about the login details, then use the reset password option and use the email id associated with your codecanyon account. Once logged in, navigate to licenses page and click on “import it” option at the bottom of the page. It will then prompt you to login into codecanyon to complete the import. You can then activate the plugin license as per: https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/activate-wpbakery-page-builder-wordpress-license/

WP 5 is a disaster on the content editing side! Before I buy, when will you be compatible for Gutenberg?
Can you confirm and partially deny that wordpress is on the hunt to kick plugins out that conflicts with their interests?
Hello, Our latest version 5.6 is compatible with WordPress 5.0 update. You can disable the Gutenberg editor under WPBakery Page Builder -> General Settings -> Disable Gutenberg editor.

Does the option to disable Gutenberg in the General Settings only appear after the website has upgraded to WordPress 5.0? We are using WPBakery Page Builder 5.6 and I just wanted to make sure I know where all the settings are before I update to WordPress 5.0 to avoid any issues. I’m not currently seeing the option while on WordPress 4.9.8.

Hello, Yes, the option is only visible when the Gutenberg editor is integrated in WordPress which is done in WordPress 5.0 release.

We are now on WP 5.0 , with latest JS composer plug in …editing a page brings up visual composer view BUT creating a new page there is no way to switch to visual composer layout….
You guys have known about Gutenberg for months now, what have you done to prepare for this considering probably over one million pages are built with visual composer?
Hello, We have an option in the plugin general settings which allows you to disable the Gutenberg editor and then to continue using the backend editor at your end.

ok I found it. is there any plans to integrate properly with gutenberg? for example add VComposer to the editors drop down list on the right so its a better seamless switch between the two?
Hello, At present we have Gutenberg block available in elements list which allows you to add the content using Gutenger while using backend editor as well.

Hello, Unfortunately, our standard plugin does not have such slider functionality. However we do have many third party add-ons: https://wpbakery.com/addons/ which might have such a feature. Do make sure to re-confirm it with the respective add-on developer before making a purchase.

In the newest version of VC, you’re checking for Gutenberg support with version_compare( $wp_version, '4.9.8', '>' ) but this would incorrectly return true on future patched versions of WordPress 4.9, you should change this back to function_exists( 'gutenberg_pre_init' ) or to some other check for the existence of Gutenberg.

This is in the latest version, 5.6. You’re using version_compare( $wp_version, '4.9.8', '>' ) in 4 places as a major version check, but that would return true for WordPress version >=4.9.9 when it comes out.

Hello, in the next release of wordpress 5.0 is coming with Gutenburg editor so they will not work with standard editor wp core commented they will support classic editor until December 2021. we are able to see Disable Gutenburg editor in Wp Bakery Settings.but we want to know how much time it will work. is there any way to continue this editor to many more years/wordpress updates because they support classic editor upto December 2021.Appreciate your response Thanks

I created some custom shortcodes and used the parameter “weight” to order them correctly.
Now the Element “Row” and “Text Block” are at the last position but I want them at the beginning. Is it possible to add them both a weight?

Hi there, WPbakery came with a theme I’ve purchased recently. While setting up my pages using WPbakery I ran into a problem. When I create a two column row inside a section and place another row inside one of these two columns, this newly created row has the width of the parent row instead of column width.
I was able to solve this problem by setting the width of the row inside the column to 1/2. However after doing this, the column gaps no longer function properly. Please help me to get this fixed.

Hello, This query seems to be added or is dependent upon a third party plugin as it uses “tribe-ea” to check the post status which is not from our plugin or standard WordPress.

I have a problem with WPbakery.
I bought a theme that has WPbakery, I really like your new interface and usability. But I have a problem with the gallery.
The gallery module, shows the gallery in a grouped form, in practice shows the image in evidence, at the click on this you can see the gallery in lightbox.
I would need to show the contents of a gallery.
This is no longer a possible thing? do you have a separate module to do it?
Last request, is it possible to change the lightbox used by WPbakery?
I would like to use one that also uses social icons.

Hello, Once you click on the image, you can then navigate through images, which is opened in lightbox. At present we do not have a setting to change the lightbox. However, it can be achieved by overriding the existing gallery output as per: https://kb.wpbakery.com/docs/developers-how-tos/change-shortcodes-html-output/ to accommodate the classes of another lightbox.

Hello, You can use a grid gallery layout to display all the images in grid format and then once an image is clicked, it will open the lightbox. Yes, you can override the element output via child theme.

Hi – I’m having a hard time understanding the “responsive options” for a column. I have a 3 column row. For the 3rd column I’ve selected “hide on device” for both mobile & tablet portrait. Now (the part I can’t figure out is) when viewing on tablet portrait (you guys call it small) how can I get my other two rows to expand and be 2 columns now?

Hi Rohan, Thanks for the reply and creating the screenshot, that helped. Just for clarification – Is the first width setting (the one you set to 6 columns -1/2) really the setting for the tablet portrait width setting? Is that why it does not have a dropdown because you guys moved it up? If so that is very confusing – why do that?
I always thought that the first width setting needed to be my original “4 columns -1/3” setting for desktop, and then I’d go down and make adjustments from there. Please clarify as I could not find anything in your docs explaining how these settings work. It is very confusing.
Lastly in your screenshot, why did you set the mobile width to “12 columns – 1/1”? On mobile I just want it to show one column. Was that an error on your part?

Hello, Yes, the portrait layout is controlled by the drop-down on top. You can set the mobile column width as per your requirement. We had only changed it to a different value to avoid any confusion.
