HI,
I would like to ask how do I turn on uploading pictures for products?
well thank you
Hi,
to display the upload field for product pages, edit the field settings, click the visible tab and then enable the option to display the field in the product page: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uka581mlrvg0xac/wcuf_product_page_conf.jpg?dl=0
I did everything according to the instructions and it does not work. Please send me an email and I will send you screenshot. THX
Are you sure that you have not enabled any restriction visibility option (visibility per payment, user role, order status under the Visibility tab while configuring the field?
Make also sure that yuou have not enabled any option under the Options menu -> Disable upload field standard managment area.
If none of the previous options have been checked, if you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following data:- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- link to a product page where I can experience the issue
I’ll try performing some further tests to see if it possible to determine the cause of the issue. Thank you.
hello!
I actived the pluging but doesn’t appear the “upload files configurator” menu. I checked woocommerce version and php.
Hi,
it maybe due to a 3rd party plugin interference. Could you try disabling all of them and see if you still experience the issue? Make also sure that you are accessing the backend area with a shop admin or a full admin user account. Let me know.
Hi,
We are facing some speed issues with the website using the plugin. The website is slow as its on shared hosting but with the plugin the website becomes extremely slow. It tries to load on all the woocommerce pages/products although its set to appear only for:
https://www.theheavenlycakecompany.co.uk/product/photo-toppersPlease check this screenshot:
http://www.theheavenlycakecompany.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/upload-plugin.jpgIs there anyway to improve the loading time with this plugin or any setting needs to be changed?
No. I’m sorry but unfortunately there isn’t much to do.
The plugin in order to set up its subcomponents and to implement its features has to perform some computations.
Computations don’t come at zero cost and with zero impact, so if the software in executed in a poor performance server (like a virtual shared web hosting service) in conjunction with other plugins, this may lead to some slowdowns.
What I can suggest is to make sure that you are running the latest 42.4 version and eventually considering to switch to a more powerful hosting service.
Hello,
Customers using Samsung phones are telling me that when they click the button to upload files nothing happens. Is there a fix for this?
Hello,
it is most likely because they are using a not fully HTML5 compliant browser.
As you can read in the Compability paragraph in the plugin description page, the plugin requires a fully HTML5 browser in order to properly work.
Do you have any suggestions or workarounds for cases where the customer is on a browser that is not fully HTML5?
Unfortuantely the plugin uses latest HTML5 standards that cannot be emulated in old browsers.
You can eventually display a notice message in the upload field description warning that if using a mobile browser is used and if the user experience upload issue, to try using a fully compliant HTML5 browser like Chrome (linking to the app/play store).
Hello

Just install the plugin and then activate in the new domain.

Hi,
Have you enabled the special options to display the fields in those pages through the Field options -> Visibility tab -> Pages & form area: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9di00hw85vbv4bt/wcuf_visibility.jpg?dl=0 ?
Make also sure that you have not checked any option to restrict the field visibility by product, user role, order status, etc (those options are in the Visibility tab).
Make also sure that you have have not checked any option in the main Options menu -> Disable upload field standard management area.
Checked this but don´t work – sorry
Maybe you can login and look whats wrong?
When yes is there a way to write you a private message?
- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
When the customer goes to /my-account and views their orders is it possible to show the uploaded files but not allow them to upload more files?
I don’t want them to be able to upload or delete files but I wan’t them to be able to see what they initially uploaded.
Hi,
yes, to do that disable the option to display the upload field in the Order details page.
Then click in the Options menu and under the Summary box check the Order details page option.
Once done, they customer will only see the uploaded files without having the possibility to uploade/delete them!
Hello! I am using the WooCommerce Upload Files plugin, but it’s not showing on my site now for some reason. I’ve tried checking all the settings and nothing changes. Can you help me determine why it is not working? thank you, Monica Coyle
Hi,
have you enabled the option to show the field in the product page (and eventually before it is added to cart) through the Field options -> Visibility tab -> Pages & form area?
Make also sure that you have not checked any option to restrict the field visibility by product, user role, order status, etc (those options are in the Visibility tab).
Make also sure that you have not have not checked any option in the main Options menu -> Disable upload field standard management area.
Good morning,
Great Plugin.
Was just wondering if there is a way for me to check the backlog of uploads as customers have made orders for a product but their images haven’t come through and we have set they the customer can not checkout without uploading images.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Rob
Hi,
Thank you for the appreciation
- Options menu -> Checkout – Files to order association method -> When the order is placed
In this way, files will be always associated to order.
Note: in case the order fails (for example because the user cancels the payment) files will be associated to the “failed order”. The user then will be forced to re-upload files before completing again the checkout.
Good afternoon,
Many thanks for getting back so promptly. I will have a look into this and see if we can locate the uploaded files. So there isn’t any way a customer can check out without uploading their images?
Thanks again,
Rob
Actually not. Once a field has marked as “mandatory” the plugin denies the checkout to complete if all the required files have not been uploaded.
It may happen that if the Thank you page has been customized or the payment process is custom landing in any other page, that files are not associated with the order.
Eventually give also a look to the server error log. It may happen that for some server issue/misconfiguration the files are not moved from the temp folder to the final folder by the server.
Good afternoon,
Thanks for getting back to me.
So where would I locate the the temp folder to see if the images are there?
Also would there be a possibility that the files have been uploaded but not associated with the order therefor they have not been assigned to the order?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks
Rob
Temp files are located in the wp-content/uploads/wcuf/tmp folder.
Yes, it could happen that they are not associated with the order. This may happen in the scenario I’ve described earlier (server issue/misconfiguration or due to an altered checkout-payment flow).
Give eventually a check to the server error log to have more clues.
Good morning,
Thanks for getting back to me.
So the same problem has occurred this morning where a customers uploads are not attached to the order.
Where would I locate the logs?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks in advance,
Rob
For that, you should ask your server maintainer.
Eventually try enabling the WordPress debug and debug log ( https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress ) and see if the debu log located in the wp-content/ folder is reported any useful information.
However are you sure you have enabled the “mandatory” option for the upload field? Have you enabled the “Files to order association method -> When the order is placed” option? are you running the latest 42.4 version?
Good evening,
Many thanks for getting back to me.
I will look into all of this and get back to you if there are any issues.
Thank you again for the continued support.
Rob
HI. Fantastic Plugin. I do however have one issue. When I add a field and select one product it must be on it doesnt work. If I select per category it works fine but if I select just a specific product it has to be on the uploader doesn’t load. Any ideas?
Hi,
thank you for your appreciation. What do you mean with select one product it must be on it doesnt work? Could you provide a more detailed description of the scenario you are operating and which is the options you enabled? Thank you!
Hi,
I am finding the upload module loads after 4 or 5 seconds ?
Hi,
the upload area is rendered after the page is completely loaded. This avoids some synchronization issues with the add to cart process.
Hi! Thx for the nice plugin. I just have one problem, on the Shop page it makes the “add to cart / select options” button into “View”. Can I turn this off and just show the regular buttons?
Yes. To do that, go to the Options menu and then in the Disable “View” button feature section select the <strogn>True option
Hello – I’ve set the position on the product page to show up below variations (which I believe is the default option), however the upload box always shows up above variations. Changing the position doesn’t seem to effect the position at all actually.
Could this be a theme issue? It doesn’t seem like anyone else is having this problem. Thank you.
HI,
yes unfortuantely it seems to be a theme issue. I’ve just reperformed a test using the After variable options dropdown(s) and before add to cart button and it is working: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1xetmsk91mw747u/wcuf_position.jpg?dl=0
Eventually, if you are using any plugin that is customizing the variation option, try disabling it. It may be the cause. Try also purgin browser and server cache. It may be that is still loading an old page version in which the area was displayed in old position.
Hi there, I have issues when I add the same product but with a different variation (size) and different files uploaded to the cart. In the cart both products don’t show the right uploaded image but display the one uploaded to the second product. How can I make it to show the correct image? Many thanks in advance
Hi,
make sure you have enabled the Display the upload field for every product variation option you find in the Visiblity tab -> Show the upload field for each product on cart/order section while configuring the field: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gfp8mqcx02rgdr1/wcuf_variation.jpg?dl=0
Once done, each variation will have its own upload field and associated images.
Hi and thanks for your quick reply. I have tried the suggested settings, but no upload option shows in the cart page. Is there anything else I need to change? Thanks in advance
Please do not oper different thread for asking about the same issue. Otherwise for me it is hard to keep track of it
Maybe it could be do the fact that you enabled any of the options to restrict the upload field visibility.
In the Visibility tab, make sure that you have not selected any option to restrict the upload field visibility by payment gatway, user role and so on. In the main Options menu, make also sure that you have not selected any option under the Disable upload field standard managment section.
Let me know!
Hi, is it possible to setup the following add to cart so that, The number of files to upload equals the chosen quantity of the product? Many thanks in advance
Hi,
yes to do that enable both the Cart quantity restriction options you find in the General tab -> Single/Multiple files upload & size restriction section.
Note that however the user has to add the product to cart and then he will be able to upload files according the current product quantity.
Hi, thanks for your quick answer. I have enabled both but the upload options still dont show no matter if I change display on: cart, checkout. If i select to show on product it shows the upload option. I switched off all other plugins and used default theme. Thanks in advance
Excuse me, I think to not fully understand you case of use. What do you mean that the upload options still don’t show? Could you provide a more detailed description (eventually with screenshots) of the issue you are experiecing?
Note that the upload area will be displayed on cart and/or checkout only after the products have been added to the cart. Please reand also the answer I left in the other comment of yours!
Thank you.
Many thanks in advance
And have you enabled the option to display the field only on Cart and Checkout page? Have you make sure that you have not enabled any option to restrict the field visibility by payment gateway, user role, etc?
If so, I need to perform some further tests on your installation to try to determine the cause. If you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following data:- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- link to a product page and to the cart page
I can perform some tests. Thank you.
Hi there, i just installed the plugin and after activating and adding the category i need to show it, i lost the ADD TO CART button on the product page. When i deactivate plugin the button is in its place. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance
i just saw that i get many 500 errors
Have you enabled the option to make the upload field mandatory? in that case the add to cart button will be showed only after the an upload has been performed.
For what concerns the 500 error, it is a generic server error. Are you sure that disabling the plugin you are not still getting it? In any case without any further clue it is quite hard to determine the cause.
Enable the WordPress debug mode ( https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress ) and the debug log, and then see if accessing the pages and in the debug log (located in the wp-content/ folder) are reported more detailed error messages.
Hi there. I cannot figure this out. I still get the errors. How can i contact you and give you the credentials so you can take a better look? Thank you
For what concerns the add to cart button, have you enabled the mandatory option? in that case it is normal that the button is not showed.
For what concerns the 500 errors, enabling the debug mode which errors are reported on screens and in the debug log?
To send me the credentials, send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following data:- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- a detailed step by step guide on how to experience the issue
i will explain better at the e-mail. Thanks
Does this plugin work with the Composite Products plugin?
Hi,
no the plugin hasn’t any particular support for that custom product type.
Hello,
The Upload Files box is showing on my product category & shop pages below the first item in the list. How can i remove it from showing on those pages? It should only show on the product detail pages.
Hi,
to show the field only in the orders details page, in the field configuration area (click on the green button), click the Visibility tab and under the Pages & Form area, check/uncheck the pages where the field has to be displayed: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q6amtoux1acus4o/wcuf_settings.jpg?dl=0
Hello, It is showing on product category/archive pages and we do not want it to. The order detail page is ok.
Whad to you mean that it happear in the category/archive page? the plugin hasn’t any feature to show upload fields in those pages. For example, as you can see from the demo site: https://www.codecanyon.eu/wcuf/product-category/category-1/ In the product category “Category 1” archive page, no upload area is showed.
Have you altered/customized those pages or the plugin? Are you using any shortcode to display the upload area? Could you attach any screenshot showing those pages?
Yes I understand it should not show on those pages but some reason it is showing there for me. I am not able to upload screenshots here…Can you send me your email directly and i can send you a screenshot?
Yes, to send me a private message click on my name and then use the low-right box reporting your email eaddress I’ll answer with mine where you can send the data.
If you also send me the following data:- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- link to the page(s) where I can experience the issue
Hi I am trying to activate this is WordPress and I keep getting ‘Buyer name is invalid’ I have been typing in ‘vanquish’
Please could you help.
Thanks
Hi,
that’s my name
you have instead to insert your account name (the one by which you purchased the plugin) and the purchased code
