Hello, it looks like your website is WordPress website. Our map here is a JavaScript map and also include an installable WordPress plugin version but it does not have a visual editor (i.e needs to be customized by editing a plugin file).
Unless you need the option to add clickable pins on the map, I think you may be interested in our other map here Interactive US Map – WordPress Plugin.
In both cases we recommend that you download the free trial version and try it to get a better idea about how our maps work.

How can I remove those red pins? I read the documentation/knowledge and it’s not clear. All it says is “Yes, simply remove the link to the pins-config.js file from the <head> area:”, but what “head” area?? I have looked all over. I also edited the pins-config.js and place them all the “false”. And although it did remove the links, those red pins are still on the map and I don’t want them there. In addition, I did email you about this first and haven’t received a reply from you as of yet, so I’m posting it here. Things are just not clear. Please respond ASAP.

Can I create a clickable map showing only the Western United States?
Hi, the map comes with preset clickable states, you can’t crop the map but you can set any state as inactive so it doesn’t highlight.

Can you have the click to trigger a JavaScript call instead of redirecting to a URL? I want to have text related to the state to appear next to the map—not in a tool tip.
Hi, having a panel next to the map to display information of a clicked state is out of the scope of the map work.
However, you have some alternatives that you may find helpful:
- Open a modal window for the clicked state ( this option works only with Bootstrap framework, if you are not sure or if you don’t know how to use it, you need to ask your website template / WordPress theme provider).
- Writing the required information about each state in sections below the map and use their IDs as links for the states, so when a visitor clicks a state, the page will jump to the corresponding section (a “Back to Top” button would be helpful!).
Does this program work in bootstrap 4?
Yes.
This interactive map template consists of HTML/CSS/JS files and can be integrated into a website that has Bootstrap 4 framework.
including the modal popup? Or is that just for Bootstrap 3?
Yes, we tested the map with Bootstrap 3 and Bootstrap 4, and the modal popup works on both.
Note: You need to have a working knowledge to build and run Bootstrap modal popup, and just use the Modal ID in the map config files.
It seems that you purchased the map 3 years ago, so you may need to re-download the updated version from your downloads page.
Hello Sir/Mme I would like an interactive map that will display the birth rate in each townships of Benin Republic. We have 77 townships in Benin and I can give you the list of the townships. The goal is to show the maps of the Benin Republic with the 77 communes. The data source is from an API with output a JSON file that will be used to display the birthrate in each township. I recently purchase this US Interactive map , follow the instruction thoroughly. I copy & paste the Index html code above the </head> and save it. We don’t have much information about Drupal and we can’t guarantee the compatibility of the map with it.
In general, you need to have full access to the page code to embed the HTML code of the map, and upload the map supporting files (JS, CSS) to your server and link them to the map.
Merging or grouping states to form one clickable area is possible but requires editing the map graphics and adjustments of the map script, we offer that as a customization service, if you are interested, please contact us.

Is this plugin cacheable? I currently use “Interactive USA Map” by Fla-Shop.com. My website takes about 4 seconds on average to load, and I’m told 1.5 of those seconds is due to my Interactive USA Map, because it is not cacheable. I’m looking for another option that is cacheable.

I think caching files is related to either the server (host) or to the browser.
However, If you are looking for a fast loading map, I can tell you that we draw our maps anchor by anchor to get highest quality maps with smallest file size, we also use our new technique of overlapped shapes to keep the final file size at its minimum. Regards
