Hi, I have installed your plugin and it has renamed the plugins but when viewing the source code how can I stop people clicking on links like this; www.example.com/ext/65d9a997/frontend/modules/customer_profile/resources/css/customer_profile.css?ver=14.9 – (i think this is directory browsing) this then tells people the name of this plugin when they view the information on this url. I have the disable directory listing check box confirmed but still the urls in source code can be viewed? any help would be appreciated. thank you
Hi, you cannot stop/prevent clicking/viewing the URLs in he page source. Actually no plugin/code could do this. The aim of HMWP is to hide/rename default wp paths. It won’t change anything within other plugin’s code .
Hello, I installed the nginx server plugin, I inserted in my nginx file the configuration that is suggested in the Nginx Configuration button. In the panel of the plugin I still have the message: “You use Nginx web server. It’s require to (re) configure Hide My WP after changing settings or activating new plugin or theme.” How do I solve this problem?

Hi, it could be that you didn’t add HMWP rules in the correct place within nginx config file. Make sure that you add the rules within server{} block.

Yes, that’s what HMWP does. You can choose your custom name.

I’m considering purchasing his plugin. I’ve been reading and i’m wondering if there’s some way that I can exempt some plugin path from changing when this option is turned on. Currently i’ve a plugin that relies on the wp-content folder to work. However i’ll like for all other plugins folder to be changed to something like “file”. Is this possible with this plugin? Please advise, thanks.
Hi, yes it’s possible to achieve what you explained above. But be noted that HMWP doesn’t physically rename the paths/folder names. It makes use of rewrite rules. Hence, it might work even if it’s renamed for the plugin above. And if it does not, then we can ignore renaming for the particular plugin.
