Incompatibility with WooCommerce Product Attachment plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-product-attachment/).
When WCUF is enabled, a portion of WCPA’s javascript does not get executed on the admin edit product page, which, long story short, results in the Update button not working. In other words, products cannot be edited.
I confirmed this by disabling all other plugins and re-enabling them one by one until the issue returned. WCUF was the offending plugin, and disabling just WCUF-while leaving all other plugins enabled-corrects the issue.
What could WCUF be doing on the admin edit product page and/or javascript to cause this conflict?
Hi,
actually this issue was already reported for another plugin of mine and it is caused by the WooCommerce Product Attachment plugin.
It seems that it is defining some click handler for the update product button that conflict with the ACF plugin embedded in my plugin: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nslml9boss15i67/product_attachment.jpg?dl=0
The issue has been reported to their support team but it seems that they still not implemented a fix.
However try installing this plugin/fixer that I’ve created: http://codecanyon.eu/add-ons/woocommerce-product-attachment-fixer.zip it is a workaround more than a real fix. However it should work. Just install and activate it.
I hope you enjoy, let me know.
Heh yeah, that’s definitely an ugly fix… but it works, so I’ll take it! Thanks for the quick reply.
Do you know if this conflict occurs with the regular standalone ACF plugin as well? I’ll report this back to the WCPA team.
You’re welcome
I haven’t tested, however the issue is related to the acf-input javascript library that is embedded in both the Pro version (this version is embedded in the WCUF plugin) and the free version.
Both the plugin versions, can be used as standalone or embedded in 3rd party plugin (there isn’t a special version). So the issue should rise even if you use as standalone.
If you wish making a test:
Free version
try temporarly disable the WCUF plugin and install the free version that you can download from https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/ .
Pro version
If you wish to test the standalone version of the Pro version, just copy the woocommerce-upload-files\classes\acf folder content in plugins\advanced-custom-fields-pro folder.
Let me know
P. S.

Hi,
I’m having issues that this plugin is causing one of my products to not be able to add to the cart when users aren’t logged in.
How can I fix this?
without any further clue it is quite hard to determine the cause of the issue. Are you sure that is the plugin causing this issue? Is this issue happening just for a specific product? if you disable it, are you still experience the issue?
If so, If you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following:
- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- a detailed step by step guide on how to experience the issue
I can perform some tests to see if it possible to figure out the cause of the issue.
Sent a mail, thanks
Got it, I’ll answer via email as soon as possible. Thank you.
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /var/www/vhosts/minds2code.com/glamperugia.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-upload-files/classes/com/WCUF_Option.php on line 571
Da cosa può dipendere? Ho installato il tema Geko
Grazie anticipatamente
Ciao,
Hello,
Today I bought this plugin “Woocommerce upload files” but most times it does not appear on the product page. Sometimes when refreshing the product page it seems that a message of half a second appears/disappears where the upload field should appear …
http://www.saminter.com/pruebas/tiendaimprentamur/adminWhat’s going on?
It also happens to me on my PC (local).
Thank you.
what do you exactly mean that most of the times it doens’t appear on product page? Without any further clue it is quite hard to determine the cause.
It could be due to a 3rd party plugin interference. or due to a miscofiguration (make sure that you have properly setted the options to display the field before the product is added to cart. Note that in case of variable product, if the upload field is bouded to variations, you have first to chose a variation and then the field wil be displayed).
If you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following:
- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- a detailed step by step guide on how to experience the issue
For what concerns the message appears, it is related to poor server performance. The plugin adds some html component that are hidden via css. If the server is not providing the css to the browser in the right times, it wont hide those elements until the style file is received.
Hi, I sell music with broadcast right for movies, videos …. does your plugin allow me to automatically send to the customers having bought a product to receive then a license (broadcast right, not key) corresponding to that chosen (5 choices with woocommerce extra product option) when buying, with their names and order number and the name of the selected license ?
Thank you for your return
Christophe
Hi Christophe,
no unfortunately this plugin hasn’t such a feature. For your purpose maybe the WooCommerce Attach Me! could suit your needs.
Hello, I am trying to enable the uploaded files to be included with notification emails. In response to another user’s question I saw the following response “For this enable the Notify admin via email when customer completed the upload and Attach uploaded file to admin notification email.”
I have looked through settings and I can’t seem to find this option anywhere. Can you point me to where this is located? Thanks!
Hello,
the notification options are specific for each upload field. So you find them inside the field options: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2mcb9swwy0wurp6/wcuf_notification.jpg?dl=0
Had a feeling it would be something that simple… you have no idea how many times I looked at that screen and didn’t see the expand options button… Thanks!
No, problem! you’re welcome

Have a nice day!
Grazie
Ciao,
In questo caso, vai nel menu Options -> Checkout – Files to order association method * seleziona l’opzione When the order is placed.
Grazie
Di nulla. Buona giornata.
What I Need:
I need customers to be able to upload their ID card during checkout so they can get a 15% discount off their entire order.
I can not get it to work. Can you please tell me what to do so that I can check t myself and see if I missed something?
The idea behind this is – we want to give veterans a 15% discount off of their whole order when they upload their ID during checkout.
I am able to get the upload form showing and the files are able to be uploaded, but after the files are uploaded, the cart does not get a discount added to the entire order. Nothing happens.
Hi,
actually this is because the plugin hasn’t such a feature. It only allows you to add a cart fee that can be a fixed value or a percetage of item price to which the uploaded files are referring. In case of negative value, the fee will be a discount.
However I think to be able to implement this new feature. Just to be sure, let me recap: I’ll add a new option by which you can apply a percentage discount if at least one upload has been performed for that upload field. The discount will be applied only once (and not for each uplaoded file). Would it be good?
Ok, good news. I’ve released the new 33.2 version that now implements a new option to apply a discount to the checkout sub total if at least one file has been uploaded.
For each upload field, in its options, you will find this new section: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k2hg1rwck7nhl2j/wcuf_checkout_discount.jpg?dl=0 by which you can enable the percentage discount. If at least one upload is performed for the selected upload field, the discuot will be added to cart.
I hope you enjoy… if so, please consider leaving the 5 stars, I would really reeeeeeally appreciate!
(to leave a rating: go to your profile page, click on “Downloads” and from there you can rate to your purchases)
Thank you. I will try it out now and get abck to you. Thank you.
Hi Vanquish,
I bought recently your plugin, however, I cannot make it work with my new website. I can choose files, but when I click upload, files are not uploaded it seems like there is a problem with AJAX??
Can you please contact me by e-mail (prepress@richprintsolutions.com) asap and help me figure it out what is going on?
Thank you Greg
it could be due to a 3rd party interference or related to an old plugin version usage.
Could you try updating to the latest 33.1 version that you can download from codecanyon and report me if it is still working? If not, if yuo If you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following:

Thank you for the response, I sent you all the information to your e-mail.
Thank you got it, I’ll let you know via email as soon as possible.
After uploading the image, the image doesn not reflect on the page and neither the add to cart button come up. Here’s the link: https://www.mastbalak.com/product/get-vector-art/
Hi,
what do you exactly mean that the imaged doesn’t reflect on the page? and what about the cart button doesn’t come up? Could you provide a more detailed description of the issue and provide a step by step guide on how to experience it?
I’ve perfomed a test on the product page you linked and I was able to upload the required image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/49mdp384ejpqk0f/wcuf_product_page.jpg?dl=0
Once done, the add to cart button properly appeared letting me to add it to the cart: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2sznt1ny9hwkynj/wcuf_cart.jpg?dl=0
This page was working earlier perfectly but now doesn’t seem to work for me.
I tried with multiple images, the upload bar gets completed to 100% but after processing, no image appears and neither the add to cart button comes up which is supposed to come up once the image is uploaded.
I am unable to find the options to change the image size restrictions under “Options”.
Can you please tell how do I make this work again.
Just checked it while logging out.
When I was logged out, everything was working fine. But when I am trying this while logged in, it isn’t.
I have reverted you on the mail as well in which you previously solved my query, in case the previous information helps.
Got it. However I’ve performed some tests and even logged the plugin properly works. More details in the reply email.
Hi, I try to set this module but when i set product to activate this module it doesnt work. Can you send user guide ? Or why it doesnt work? Thanks
Hi,
what exactly do you mean the product to activate the module doesn’t work? Could you provide a more detailed descrption of the action you are trying to perform?
To create an upload field just click in the Upload Field Configurator menu, then click on the “add a new Upload Field” button. To configure the field click on the “Show/Hide field options” button.
If you want to show the field only for some products, while configuring the field, under the ” Visibility Product/Category restriction ” select the “Show for selected categoreis and products” then choose the products/categories you need the field to be showed.
I did what you say for step by step but it doesnt work again. Please send new documentation
- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- a detailed step by step guide on how to experience the issue
I can try to perform some tests to see if it possible to figure out the cause of the issue.
Hi,
This plugin seems to break my site upon activation
ceoshop.dev-tcl.co.za
without any further clue it is quite hard to determine the cause. Which PHP version are you running? note that the plugin requires at least a 5.6 version.
Could you enable the wordpress debug mode (https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress ) and report me if any detailed error message is printed?
Try also disabling your 3rd party plugins to see if the issue still occurs.
If not, if you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following:
- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
I can try to perform some tests to see if it possible to get some more clues.
Hi, I have some products, where image upload is not required, but there is a required feedback field. If I want to check order details, i cant find texts from feedback field.
Do you have any suggestions how to solve this problem?
Hi,
so which is exactly the problem? that for non required fields for which the text is required, not text was submitted even if files are uploaded?
Or that would you like to force users to submit a text even if no upload has been performed?
Note that the plugin is designed to manage file upload. So if no file is uploaded, there is no feature that forces to submit a text. Text cannot be submitted if any file is uploaded.
Thank you for your quick reply. I want to force users to add texts only. For example at this product: http://gravirexpres.sk/produkt/rodostrom/ . Image upload is set to not required and the upload field is hidden. Orders are working, but I need only the texts from feedback field (required). If I want to check orders, I cant find text from feedback field… only this message: Click “Save Order” button after one or more file deletion otherwise changes will no take effects. Customer hasn’t uploaded any file…yet.
Is possible to set preloaded image? Or can I edit selected order to add an image?
Thank You
Unfortunately the plugin is not designed to work like that. A textfield to be properly saved requires that at least one file has been uploaded.
In the order details page, fields metadata will be showed only if at least one file has been performed.
Hello, my add to cart button does not work.It appears but is not possible to add products. Also, even if the phrase “uploaded files” is translated remains like this http://prntscr.com/ipn0z4 Thanks
For what concerns the text, it is the default description text that can be customized while creating the upload field.
For what concerns the add to car button issue, without any further clue it is quite hard to determine the cause.
Try disabling all your 3rd party plugins to see if you still experience the issue. If not, try then enable one by one until you find the one interfering.
In anternative if you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following:
- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- a detailed step by step guide on how to experience the issue
I can perform some analysis to see if it possible to get more clues about the cause.
I already have tried disabling all 3rd party plugins. The issue it was not created from these.I send you private message, thank you
Hi! I’ve set up the upload files configurator. But in “my Account”, when I want to upload a file to an order, the “Browse” button is not doing anything. I’ve tried it in my local server, and the “Browse” button works as expected, bringing up windows explorer so I can look for the file I wish to upload.
Do you know what might be causing this issue and how this may be resolved?
Thank you. Your help would be most appreciated.
this kind of issue is usually related to a 3rd party plugin interference. It may happen that some plugin are including some bad javscript libraries that raises error. This prevent the WCUF javscript library to be properly executed and then to manage the browse button. Try deactivating your 3rd party plugins and then re-enable one by one until you find the one interfering reporting to its developer.
In alternative you send me via private message (click on my name and then use the low-right box) the following:
- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- a link to the page where I can experience the issue
I can perform some analysis to see if it possible to get some more clues about the issue.
there is an error in the disclaimer checkbox function, even if you check the box to accept when trying to upload a file I still receive the message “You must accept the disclaimer” could you repair it please
Hi,
it seems that there are some javascript interferences in the page where you are experiencing the issue that are interfering with the plugin javascript library that manages that feature.
Could you try to disable other 3rd party plugin and report me if you still get the error? Make also sure you are running the latest 32.8 version.
the crop function has a conflict, when uploading a file it does not, but if I deactivate the crop editor if an image can be uploaded, they could repair what my clients do if they use that function
Hi,
I’m not sure to fully understand the issue you are experiencing. What exactly is not working? the crop feature or the upload process? Which plugin version are you running? Could you try to update to the latest 32.8 version? and reperform a tests?
Could you also try disabling all your 3rd party plugins and report me if you still experience the issue? if not, try renable one by one until you find the one interfering and then report it its developer.
Let me know.
I had version 32.6 and the crop function worked perfectly, now if I activate this function it does not allow me to load files, I do browse and when choosing the file it only remains blank as if it did not select anything, but if I deactivate the function it returns when loading file, I speak Spanish estpy trying to explain no better
- you email address
- Full admin access to the wp-admin area
- a FTP access
- a link where I can experience the issue
I can try performing some tests to see if it possible to have more clues about the issue/interference. Thank you.
We just paid for six more months of support!
Thank you, got it
Just offering some work around we discovered while trying to debug slow performance. If upload box is on variable product page, which has all fields with a valid feault setting then it is very slow to load. Even if it is o a page that does not use the upload plug in itself. we changed a;; variable products to have at least one field not selecting an option so the upload field did not load until customer selects and have achieved an 8 second improvement in page load time site wide. im not sure what is doing it but it seems any page which has one or often more product links, either from shortcodes or recommended, is like prefetching the content for those pages and the javascript for the plugin is being called over and over again and maxing out the server.
Thank you for reporting the issue, bu I’m not sure about the scenario you are operating. Could you configure a product like the one you are using in your isntallation on the demo site:
http://www.codecanyon.eu/wcuf/
user: demo
pass: demo
and report me back if you are experiencing the same performance issue? It sounds strange tha it cause a 8 second slow down (note however that the plugin adds additional computation on product page rendering, so if you are running your site in a low-end shared web server, it is quite normal to experience slowdowns).
What do you exactly mean that if any page tha has one or more often more product links?
The plugin is not prefetching any data for the “related products” usually showed in the product page. However if you have altered the default product page template in order to show multiple product contents (like descriptions) it may lead to unexpected plugin behaviour. For this however I would need further info.
Please make also sure to be running the latest 32.6 plugin version.
I get the regular updates. I was not suggesting the plugin was prefetching that either the theme or jetpack or something is. I will have a quick go at building but it was a few complex variables like 3 variable option thing. but not prefilling one, mean page loads in a snape then once selected upload box does too. but together it fills the server memory. but even on other pages like front page where no upoload box appears, it was sped up once all the prefilled products with uploads were adjusted.
Unfortunately I still have not completely clear the scenario
what exactly do you mean mean page loads in a snape then once selected upload box does too.but together it fills the server memory?
If you could reproduce the issue in the demo site with an example product you are using in your server, it would help me in analyzing it. Thank you.
I am trying but i cant even get to build a variable product on demo site, I click to add custo attriubte and it has hung now with the little circle turning for 4 minutes.
ok i got to build the products but im unwilling to sit there andfill out datata and load images for every variation – it has only slightly slowed the demo – i cannot change the theme etc to test what interaction does it.
i mean that if the variation attributes are presected then it is a 13sec+ site load on my site for any page, if one it not prefillled then upload box doesnt appear. page loads in few seconds, then click option upload box load quickly. we were suprised when it sped up entire site but deselecting default options for all variable products with uploads.
i didnt feel it was a thing for you to fix – but more a tip incase you have other people experiencing slow pageloads after setting up plugin with variable products.
ok thank you for reporting the result of your tests. I’ve noted in my knowledgebase in case of any other user report a similar issue.
Meanwhile I’ll try investigate further! Thank you!
