Hello I need to createa an andriod and IOS app which have features like – linkage to my wordpress site to present authentication form to users – run some features like buddypress or chat – push notifications

Hi! We do support linking to your Wordpress site, however, Buddypress and Authentication are not included.
If you’d like to support Buddypress as well, you can also use WebView to show your site. This will ensure that it functions just like in the browser.
This shit does not work, it helps me return my money, the tutorial is minimal, it does not have details of the problems, the application does not install, they do not guide you step by step how to configure it, I have days of trying and it does not work, I am tired.

I use WebView for my site and recently Google notified me, for displaying ads in posts with videos! Would you have any solution to this?

Hi! We currently don’t offer an option for this. I’d recommend removing Admob (and Adsense) from your app (and webpages shown) if you use Youtube.
After the last release for universal (adding support for external products in woocommerce), even products that are saved as drafts, pending review or marked private are get displayed.

Next, the Wordpress website which I want to use for the app is: https://nicholson98.wordpress.com/ Would the REST API be https://public-api.wordpress.com/rest/v1/sites/en.nicholson98.wordpress.com?
My last question is regarding strings. If my app is not utilizing anything to do with Instagram, am I allowed to delete those strings or is it fine if I just leave them be?

I’m happy to respond to your queries: 1) A dash in the API should be no problem, this is completely normal 2) Yes, so enter en.nicholson98.wordpress.com as parameter 3) You can delete them, just leave them as they are by default.

It appears that you’ve enter your API key in the wrong place in strings.xml. make sure to enter the value between > and < of a string and not between ” and ” (see documentation for an example)
For WordPress we support categories and recent posts, enter the category id to show a category or otherwise leave it blank. For page use WebView. First menu item is the lauch page.
Api strings you don’t use you should keep. Please read our documentation carefully, steps not documentated need not to be done.

Is it possible to copy all of my config files and use them to make the iOS app or will I have to go through a different process for that? Thanks.
Oh and also, is it possible for me to only show one individual YouTube video or does it have to be a playlist or channel?

While you can re-use some API keys (and in some cases, you config.json file) I would recommend you create a new configuration as per the documentation of the IOS app.
You can only show playlists and channels, it’s not yet possible to show a single video.
Wow, that’s amazing to hear. At the moment, I am using RSS, Twitter, Webview, and YouTube right now. Is it possible for me to copy the config file for the iOS app in this case? Also, creating the app for iOS doesn’t require me to use a MacOS device, correct? Lastly, is it possible to edit the overview.json file to show what I want it to?

The Youtube configuration is slightly different for IOS than for Android, so I’d suggest to create a new configuration file using the IOS configuration builder tool.
Using Universal for IOS requires Xcode which runs only on MacOS, however you don’t need a mac to run MacOS, you can use a virtual machine or a cloud service (like MacInCloud.com).
Yes, you can ofcourse edit overview.json or use our tool (see documentation).

Hi, there is a problem in your last Update with webview at 4.4 Android system, app always crashed by opening a website. Can you please update this, there are a lot of users they are using 4.4 Android. Newer android version like 5.1 are not affected

Hi! For now, our engineers haven’t been able to reproduce the problem, and we haven’t received any similar reports from other users, therefore this is currently not a hot fix. Nevertheless, I will look into this with the next major update, scheduled for this summer to ensure everything works properly.

Hi! With Universal, we simply display the HTML as passed by your API. So you can make an API request to your Wordpress API (i.e. REST API or JetPAck api) and run the html to see how it looks (we’ll apply some additional styling as well).
So it really depends on the visual composer functions you use and how your API passes the html. If external CSS/JS is required, it won’t work out of the box.

Hi! We show the posts exactly as how we receive them from the API (in this case the Wordpress.com API).
In most cases, the content will be the same as on the site, however, when specific plugins/themes are required, or when API content is (in a) different (order) from the site content, posts can appear different in the app.

Hi! We intended to only support Geolocation for online webpages. Try putting your code on the server.
Also ensure that locations are enabled, and that GeoLocation is enabled from your WebView (config.java)
