Hi, thanks for this great plug in. How can i delete processing booking? I need also to delete it from calendar. I just tried to book without pay, and i can not delete that booking from calendar and reservations page. Then, have you italian language file to import?

Hello,

Processing status happens when the payment is not completed. It disappear automatically after 1h. See our knowledgebase: https://hotelwp.com/knowledgebase/?article=38

Translation files for front-end and back-end are included for French, Spanish, Italian, German and Dutch languages. You will find them in wp-content/plugins/hbook/language-files/.
  • Back-end: You just need to copy the .mo and .po file of your language (for example: hbook-admin-it_IT.po and hbook-admin-it_IT.po) and paste them in hbook/languages, beside hbook-admin.pot.

If you need further help, please do not hesitate to ask.

Is it possible to sort/show rooms by locations? I have 3 locations and need my clients to not see all the rooms from the 3 locations together. Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in HBook plugin.

Currently, there is no filters feature for the search which means you can not search properties by location. It is a feature that we wish to add but I can not guarantee when it will be done.

However, there is a workaround which consist in having one page per location and for each page a search form. Then it is possible to hide in the list of results the properties that do not belong to the location searched. This requires adding custom CSS in HBook > Appearance. Ex: a page for properties in London and CSS to hide any accommodation not located in London. As it is only a workaround, it might not suit everyone’s needs but it looks to me that it could be suitable for your situation until filters are added. ;-)

If you decide to purchase HBook or Adomus theme and need help with that, please do not hesitate to ask!

Kind regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Thank you for the explanation!

Dear, I want to hide the price breakdown. Any idea on how to do this? (css?) Thanks

Hi,

There is an option in HBook > Forms > Accommodation selection for that purpose. ;-)

If you need further help, please do not hesitate to ask!

Hi

Yes its working finely . but I need something like that in payment :

customer will come and check the available days and they have to request a confirmation of admin and they will not charged.

when admin will approve they have to pay deposit if they are booking more than before 6 weeks of check in days . and they have to pay full amount before 6 weeks they arrive.

if a customer booking in a schedule less than 6 weeks before their arrive time – they will have to pay full amount of after confirmation and they need to pay it in 24 hour otherwise booking will auto cancel .

Hi,

You can set HBook as a booking request system with admin confirmation needed. See this article of the knowledgebase.

Then, you wish to have different emails sent depending on the lapse of time before check-in (6 weeks). With the current version of HBook, you can not have different emails sent automatically upon “Confirmation” depending on the delay before check-in date. So all your customers would receive the same email if you use the automatic email templates.

I have added to next version the possibility to set other email templates that can be manually sent from the reservation. You will then be able to set 2 different email templates and sent the correct one after the admin confirms the reservation.

Regarding the automatic cancellation of the booking if no payment is received within 24 hours of the notification, this can not be done automatically with HBook. You will have to manually cancel the reservation. ;-)

When I try pay in paypal (sandbox mode) I get this error “PayPal error : This transaction cannot be processed. The amount to be charged is zero.” but the total is not zero. I have the corrects API credentials, Can you tell me if this is normal? I need move to Paypal Live mode Regards!

Hello,

PayPal has a minimum amount required (different depending on the currency) so if you have entered a too low amount, you might have this error.

If you need further help with that, could you please provide us with access to your WordPress admin using our credentials submission form?

Thank you!

Hi Can it possible to set variable minimum stay for an accommodation based on seasons by advanced booking rules as tell in documentation ?

http://villatartaglibassi.com/rates-and-terms/

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in HBook plugin.

You can set different minimum stay according to season and accommodation types easily and you don’t even need to use the advanced booking rules. ;-)

I have checked the rate table in the link your provided and HBook can cater for your needs. No problem at all!

Is possible to set 2 adults as default select in the search form? my email is me@aaronsinho.com thnaks!

Hello,

Is it that you wish to prevent bookings for 1 person and start the drop-down at 2? This would need modifying the line 22 ($loop_start = 1;) of the file hbook/front-end/booking-form/search-form.php.

Kind regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Thank you for your answer, last question: How can I filter the search list by price? (lowers first)

Hi,

With the current version of HBook, the results are displayed by order of creation of the accommodation posts, in the same order as you see them listed in Accommodations page. If you wish to have them in a different order, just edit the date of creation for each accommodation type. This can be easily done by “Quick edit” link for each post. ;-)

I have on my list for future development to add filters for the search results.

Aurelien, HotelWP

Hi Aurelien – thank you for your fantastic plugin, it works brilliantly on my site and I recommend it often to other rental owners. I would also like to say that in your next phase if it could handle discount codes that would be the icing on the cake! thank you

Hello,

Thank you for your nice comment. I am glad if HBook can help you to run your business. It is with pleasure that I can tell you that discount codes (coupons) will be added in the next main version which I hope to release by the end of the year or early January. ;-)

Have a lovely week-end,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Fantastic!! Thank you

Hi there, is it possible to switch billing to an hourly rate rather than daily?

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in HBook plugin.

I am afraid HBook works per night basis as it is directed mainly at the hotel industry and it can not be used for hourly rentals.

Kind regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Hi, can you add a date picker/calender to the form fields to make it easy to let people fill out their date of birth? Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for the reminder. I have it on my wishlist for future developments. ;-)

Would you please next time leave a comment while you are logged in to the account you used to purchase HBook so I can verify your purchase/support? Thank you for your comprehension.

Aurelien, HotelWP

Question pre-purchase. Can I put a specific month per default Ex. July 2018 in the “select check in panel”? Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, you can set your opening dates in HBook > Misc > Opening dates. That would mean that your calendar will start at the desired month for check-in selection. ;-)

Best regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

Thanks you for your reply! now we will make around 400 accommodation places, we need pagination on search results and accommodation list, is this possible?

Regards!

Hi,

May I ask you if you plan to create 400 different accommodation types or 400 accommodations (shared between different accommodation types)? You might not have realized that when you create accommodation type (ex: “Double room”), you can set how many accommodations of this type you have (ex: “40” double rooms). This would give better clarity to the search results and accommodation list! Adding pagination would need customization. ;-)

Just a quick question. I want to set up seasons specific to a accomodation, but that will not work in my admin. When i go to frontend i get a message that the price is not set for “Laag seizoen” but i did set a price for “laag seizoen groepen”. Is it not possible to set a season specific for a accomodation ?

Hi,

With the current version of HBook, it is not possible to set a season only for a specific season. It is a feature which I wish to add in the future. ;-)

A couple of remarks to help you understand how HBook works:
- Seasons are set for all accommodation types. They can not be specific to a certain accommodation type.
- Rates need to be defined for all seasons. You have to enter a rate for all the seasons where it is open for bookings.
- If an accommodation type is closed at a certain time of the year, you should set these dates as blocked in Reservations > Block accommodation

Hence, these are tips to set up HBook if you have seasons that are different according to accommodation types:

To set the seasons, you have 2 options:
- you create a season B and take of the days of the season B of your season A (split the season A in different periods)
- you create your seasons in the following order: the shortest periods are created first (Season B if the shortest) and the longest seasons are created last (season A)

To set the rates:
- you will have to indicate the rates for each season where the accommodation can be booked. It means that you will have to indicate sometimes the same rates for 2 consecutive seasons for a certain accommodation type.

Ignoring a season for a certain accommodation type (if no rate is defined) is something I have in my wishlist for future development. It would make setting up HBook with accommodation types that do not share the same seasons easier. ;-)

In some similar situations, I have clients who simply create as many seasons as needed to cater for all accommodation types seasons and add rates for all seasons.

It means that for example if you have:
- Accommodation A seasons:
2018/01/01 to 2018/03/31 (Jan to March)
2018/01/04 to 2018/05/31 (Apr-May)

- Accommodation B season:
2018/01/01 to 2018/02/28 (Jan-Feb)
2018/03/01 to 2018/05/31 (March-May)

They will create the following seasons:
Season 1 – 2018/01/01 to 2018/02/28
Season 2 – 2018/03/01 to 2018/03/31
Season 3 – 2018/01/04 to 2018/05/31

And for accommodation A, the rates for Season 1 and 2 will be the same. For accommodation B, the rates for season 2 and 3 will be the same.

This is only a workaround and it might not suit your situation. Thank you for your comprehension!

Would you please renew your support entitlement if you need further help from me? Thanks!

Aurelien, HotelWP

Aurelien, many thanks for your extensive comment!! Giving a 5 star rating now. The best support comment i got on TF + CC.

With your comment i managed to get it working like i want.

Wish you a nice weekend!

Thanks a lot! Glad if I could help. ;-)

Hello

where i get paypal api ?

have to follow this info https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/api/apiCredentials/ for Signature API credentials ????

thanks

Hello,

HBook uses PayPal Express Checkout. You will get “Live” API username, password and signature in your PayPal dashboard, under “Request API credentials under Account information” as explained in the url you linked to. You need a PayPal Business Account. :-)

If you wish to get “Sandbox” account for testing purposes, you need to open a developer account on https://www.sandbox.paypal.com.

Aurelien, HotelWP

I need extra services to be configured with respect to seasons. Is it possible?

I cannot use the workaround proposed by email (different rooms based on season with their dedicated services) because Reservation timeline becomes a mess.

Can you provide custom development? Is this feature hard to implement?

Hi,

I am afraid extra-services can not be set differently according to seasons. It is a feature which is on the list for future developments but I can not guarantee that it will be added soon.

Thank you for your offer but I am not available to add seasonal extra-services right now. You might wish to enlist a developer for that. It is not highly complicated especially if it is to be added only for your situation. It is more tricky to add it to HBook taken into account the diversity of possible set up by HBook users.Thank you for comprehension. ;-)

Hello,

Is it possible to remove “Nights” column when rates are displayed with your shortcode ?

thank you

Hello,

There is no class in such for each column. You could try to add in HBook > Appearance > Custom CSS for front-end something like this as it is the 3rd columns:
.hb-rates-table thread th:nth-of-type(3), .hb-rates-table tbody td:nth-of-type(3) {
display: none;
}
I haven’t tested it! ;-)

If you need further help, would you please leave a comment while logged in to the account with which you purchased HBook? Thank you!

Hello!

I have a couple of pre-sale questions.

This plugin probably does it all (I’ve seldom seen such ratings from such a large number of people; it seems to truly be the best around.) Still, even though it’s not all that expensive, I would like to know if:

1) It is possible to create a price per room, and then have the price increased by the number of breakfasts? I.e., say a room is £50 and breakfast is £10, the price would be £60 if booked single, but £70 booked double?

2) Does this work with other booking sites besides AirBnB? (Homeaway and Abritel – a French site – were mentioned by the hotel owner)?

That’s about it. The demos and website answered my other questions.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Ludovic

Hello,

I am afraid there is no live demo available for testing purposes. If there is any issue after you have bought and install HBook plugin for your client, please do not hesitate to contact me again. ;-)

Aurelien, HotelWP

It’s OK, I was just wondering. Maybe it’s too much work to set up, I don’t know about these things :-)

I always imagine it cuts down on questions, but the internets being what they are, it may not be true :-)

I’m buying the plugin and will try to make it work!

Best regards,

L.

Hi there, a few questions after looking into this plugin, which is almost exactly what we need. Two things I didn’t see mentioned though that we desperately need and can’t find in any other booking plugin: 1) Is it possible to offer members only prices? (Ex: different prices/percentage rates or rules that affect a certain user role when logged in). 2) A user account where guests can see their bookings. Thanks for any information on these.

Hello,

Thank you for your message. I am glad that HBook covers most of your needs. ;-)

1. With the current version of HBook, it is not possible to display a different pricing if the user is logged in as a member. There is a possible workaround if what you need to achieve is a discount for members of a club/association: - set an Extra service that will be “I am a member of the club/association” for example - set the type as “Per person per day” - set a negative amount corresponding to 10% of your average nightly rate (for example: -5 if you offer 10% and your nightly rate per person is at $50 per night). You can set a different amount for adults and children.

Note that if your rate is per accommodation and not per guest (flat rate whatever the amount of guests), you will select the type as “Per accommodation per day”.

This is the closest we can suggest. Hoping it helps!

2. There is no user access for booking management. We appreciate that it could be an interesting addition to the plugin and have added it to the wishlist for future development. However, as there are as well other aspects of HBook that we wish to improve and develop, I can not guarantee that it will be added soon. Thank you for your comprehension!

Aurelien, HotelWP

Hi, I have installed the pluging in a website, and I have an error everytime i do a research to book.

The message is this one : “There was a connection error. Please try again.”

I really don’t know what is going on ! Is it an ajax problem ?

Thanks in advance the quick answer.

Any Update on the issue ?

No change. It is still not working.

Hello,

I have received your email with access to your website, thank you! We deal with tickets in the order we receive them and we will come back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience. ;-)

Kind regards,

Aurelien, HotelWP

can we select 2 rooms at once and checkout?

Hello,

Multiple room booking is not possible yet. It is one of the feature on the top of the list for future developments.

However, there is a possible workaround:
  • You create extra-accommodation types that are combination of rooms (as for example: “2 Double rooms” or “1 Double room + 1 Single room” ). You can indicate minimum occupancy (you might not want to show “1 Double room + 1 Single room” in the result if the search is for 1 person for example), normal and max occupancy, rates, etc…
  • You link this new accommodation types to the current accommodation type. For example you will set in “2 Double rooms” accommodation type that the linked accommodations are “Double room”(2 of them). It means that if someone books “2 Double room”, it will automatically block 2 accommodations of the accommodation type “Double room”. You can find more information on that here and examples there in the documentation.
As it is only a workaround, it might not suit all situations. Thank you for your comprehension.

If you need further help, please do not hesitate to contact me again.
