Hello!

Great plugin! I have a simple question: how can I set to show by default the last item on the right? Something like:

start-on=”last item on the right”

thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for appreciations .

You don’t mention this type of text in start-on field. You have you manually mention start on property according to your requirements like Start on =”5” etc.

In this way you can show 5 items in right side.

I believe there may be an issue with the ajax. After using a category filter, the date filter on the right disappears and the videos on the timeline shrink.

Hi there,

Could you please share your timeline link. Actually! We have disabled years sidebar navigation in category filters based timeline. But we will definitely fix the videos shrinking problem.

Thanks!

Hi

After installing Cool Timeline Pro, settings in wp-admin/admin.php?page=cool_timeline_page are not being saved.

please assist

I’m not seeing any errors. after clicking “save changes” on the admin page, I see the “Settings Saved.” messages but if i refresh the admin page after seeing that message, settings reverted to default

Did you try other settings ?

Please share your WordPress temporary credentials. So that we can take a closer look. Thanks,

normal wordpress and other plugin settings are fine. but none of the Cool Timeline Pro settings are persisting after save and refresh. Where can I send the credentials privately?

Problems with audio files

I´m trying to use a couple of audio files in a vertical timeline. I embed the media file on a single line of it’s own, as usual with wp. It only shows time numbers and long text, that even goes beyond the column. If the the timeline is accesed with a mobile (only one column), the audio files works as it should, showinf the little arrw to play the audio file and with the time bar. It also shows ok, if the window size is changed forcing just one column (reponsive) from a desktop computer.

Please help me to fix this issue.

Regards

Carlos

@crevilla can you please share your timeline link along with temp wp-admin access for our devloper at – contact@cooltimeline.com We will sure fix it for you if you have any trouble in creating a good timeline view!

Hello. We’re using a vertical flat design timeline. Looks great on desktop, but images are not responsive on mobile – they’re just squishing vertically. They seem to work fine in your demo. Can I get some assistance on this? Thanks. http://whomusic.wpengine.com/philosophy-history/

@MangoldCreative there was a small css images height bug in current version, we are fixing it in next release.

Please use this custom css and it will fix your problem immediately!

.cool-timeline .timeline-content img { height: auto; }

Hello, I just purchased your cool timeline plugin. I originally had the free version and was able to activate it and use it.

However, your pro version installs, but once I activate it it makes the entire WP Admin site go to a white screen. I am able to restore the admin as soon as I delete the plugin.

My current theme is InsomniaVersion: 1.1.1

Look forward to your response.

Hi dofty, Can you please share temp admin details with our support developer at contact@cooltimeline.com – We will sure provide you a solution!

I’m presently using a local server environment because the site has gone live yet.

@dofty we can’t find any conflict without a testing interface, please try to setup one for our developer. Thanks!

The setting for Content Length does not seem to be working for me. I can set it to 10 words or 1000 words and it is still displaying the same default

Also, is there a way to disable linking to the story itself?

@rwallin67 this problem occurs if your theme overrides the plugin read-more settings.

Please disable readmore option from setting panel and select to show full content option inside shortcode then you can disable linking.

Please contact with our support developer at contact@cooltimeline.com along with temp wp access for fast resolution!

Hi.

Does the plugin work with WPML?

Thanks for your support.

Best

Ben

Yes, it works!

Hello

I`ve noticed that the resolution of the images of each Story is very low when it’s shown in the the time line. Our Image resolucion is ok, and if you click on image in the timeline and it’s enlarged, you can see it very well.

It’s worst when you see the timeline in the smartphone. The images of the timeline are shown in a very poor resolution.

Hi, we use wordpress default option to resize images while uploading! I have forwarded this issue to my developers team and we will sure update it! Can you please share your timeline link with our support team at – contact@cooltimeline.com

I have just installed this plugin, but all images turn out stretched, no matter what browser or image dimensions I use. Can you please check here: https://teamlawless.com/about/

The video is not showing on the timeline for this story, either: https://teamlawless.com/timeline/dig-computer-show/

I am using the Ark Theme.

Hi there,

Thanks for using our plugin. Please add below mentioned CSS in Custom CSS section in settings panel.
.cool-timeline .timeline-post .timeline-content img{
height:100%;
}
Did you add video URL in Story format section ?. https://www.cooltimeline.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/add-story.jpg

I think you have added video in story description section.Please also add Video URL in Youtube video section.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Hello Like some other customers here I can not get rid of the “rate the plugin” notification on top. I have rated the plugin and pressed all of the buttuns but it comes up anyway on every page all the time. It is extremely annoying. Can you please fix this?

Regards, Einar

Hi Einar,

We feel apologizes for inconvenience. We will definitely fix this issue in next updates.

Thanks,

Hi there,

I’m trying to find out the problem. But it is not occurring with our development servers. Could you please let me know you installed plugin version. It would be better if you can share your Temporary credentials at contact@cooltimeline.com .So that take a closer look and provide you solution.

Thanks in Advance!

Hello team,

I’ve build this timeline http://thienchi.21team.xyz/tql/

My problem is about feature image, it can’t resize as I expected. I check on your demo, it work good. But on my site it’s not working. Could you give me solution to resolve?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for creating timeline using our plugin.

We are using WordPress Default featured image functionality https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/the_post_thumbnail/

And your images are not resizing properly.

In order to fix this problem please add height manually in Custom CSS tab in settings panel.Please use below mentioned CSS.

.cool-timeline.dark-timeline .timeline-post .timeline-content img{
    height:auto!important;
}

Please let me if you need further assistance.

Best Regards, CoolHappy From Cool Timeline Team

Thanks it worked perfectly.

I have one more issue when I use slider instead of feature image.

The images and arrows navigation of slider does not fit in screen. Please help me to check it.

Thanks.

Hello!

I have created this timeline: http://www.remedica.webidilio.com/about-us/history/

I have seen that you have corrected the Ajax Navigation in the latest version release to show more years when pressing ‘Load More’ on vertical timelines. I have it disabled though and as soon as I click on ‘Load More’, the navigation appears (this is a bug since I have set it to hidden).

The reason I have it hidden is because almost every year we have a new story. So when we go back to 1970, then the navigation cannot fit all the years from 1970 – today. Is there any way to show range of years (by decade for example)?

Thank you in advance!

Suggestion: What if the navigation pane for vertical timelines has arrows on top and bottom in order to let the visitor scroll between dates for let’s say a number greater than 10 intervals? That would also look sophisticated :)

Hi there,

Thank you very much for your valuable suggestion.

We will definitely add top/bottom arrows if navigation have more then 10 items. We will add this feature in next updates.

Best Regards, CoolHappy, Cool Timeline Team.

Hi

A few pre sales questions

1) can we hide story year 2) is colour scheme definable per timeline or is it global for whole site your demos use different colours – can see you having that many instances of wordpress 3) Is this also the same for the title of the timeline or does that come from the category name 4) can we hide title if desired 5) Also does the colour have to be 1st colour then 2nd colour or can you do two same colour and next one different i.e if two event happened in same month might have you sort of do at bottom of this page https://www.cooltimeline.com/category-based-filters/

Thanks

1). Yes you can hide story years or you can also add custom text in place of year 2). You can choose different color for every single story of timeline, we have an option to choose color while publishing a story. 3). title color will remain same for all that you will define in option panel 4). Only via custom css you can hide title of a particular story 5). In setting panel we have a option to choose 2 colors that will come alternate, but you can also choose a specific color for story while adding it.

can you please recommend how I can code responsive CSS for iPad landscape to add .section-bullets-left { display: none; }

Please use this CSS:-

@media only screen and (min-device-width : 768px) and (max-device-width : 1024px) and (orientation : landscape) { /* STYLES GO HERE */ }

Hi there, I have some troubles with your timeline. The “timeline-content” does not show up in Chrome for example. There is “ctlhidden” in the class instead of “ctlvisible animated fadein”. AND I can not update… evertime I upload the last versions total site breaks and gives Error 500.

Please send us your website url at – contact@cooltimeline.com Our developer will sure provide you a solution!

I have sent all credentials regarding issue with tabs and timeline

Thanks

Hi,

I have a few problems that I can not find in the plugin. - My read more doesn’t translate (to dutch:lees meer). - The timeline isn’t quite responsive (especially not on mobile) - I also want to show a summery of my blog posts in my timeline. But I am using Visual composure, therefore the summary looks kind of trange. So is there any way for me to write the summary myself or anything?

Thanks in advance

Hi, Can you please share any test url along with your wp-details at our support email – contact@cooltimeline.com We will sure fix it if there is any issue!

Thank you for your response, the mail with details has been send.

I’ve contacted you a few times on the issue of the short excerpt not following the 30 word limit in the settings and have not heard back. You can see the issue here: http://myinnovationbank.com/community-involvement/ as you can see there are more than 30 before the “Read More” button.

Please advise

In addition to the Child theme and theme updates question above, do you have a developers license for several sites?

Also, can there be a navigation “system” by year such as this example: http://etdigitalmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Timeline-nav.png

Thanks

Just checking to see if you saw the questions above….in particular about the fix in the Child theme being possibly overwritten when the Parent theme or your plugin is updated.

Thanks

Hi,

1). Don’t worry, We have only added code in Child theme.Your Main theme update don’t effect these changes.

2). The current version does not support horizontal navigation.

3). Regarding the developer License Please contact us at contact@cooltimeline.com
