Please update the theme, as the upload button is now gone. You can set awards in the Users tab (check the awards button). The awards will be displayed on the user’s profile page.
Regarding the lightbox, for jQuery Colorbox you don’t need any special configuration. it should work out of the box.

In addition, is there any way to make the categories in each imagebox clickable/link to a page with the specific images from that category?
And also perhaps allow users to type in their own tags/categories in the uploader?
Try this shortcode:
[imagepress-show sort=”yes” filters=”yes”]
It is not possible to have the categories clickable for now, as they would be formatted as posts and they would depend on the theme styling.
Categories are not free typed as they need to be declared in WordPress first. What are you trying to achieve? Maybe we can add something in the next release.
Hello. I got a conflict in my website when I activate Imagepress. It’s been happening for a couple of months now, but I thought it was a theme problem. I updated to the new version of Imagepress but the problem remains. The problem I got, it’s when I activate your plugin, a white padding on top of my adsenses appears, and the alignment of the share buttons on my posts got all messy. Has I said I thought that the theme was the problem, so I talk to the developers and after some tests they found out that was your plugin causing this. It’s just as simple as desactivate and all is good, activate and the problem appears.
I don’t know if something similar has happen to you before, but I ask for your assistance. I suspect it can be some css conflict.

I have been using an old version (2.3.4) of ImagePress for some time now and only just downloaded the latest version so I actually get two versions of ImagePress in my Dashboard. When I activate the new version, the photos disappear – no one to blame but myself really, but was just wondering if the images can be transferred to the new version?
Yes, they should work out of the box, nothing was changed from an image behaviour point of view. Contact me via email and we’ll take it from there.

I tried several tests on my server and everything works as expected. I have just released version 7.0.1 and I will keep an eye on this author thing and see if I can further debug it and improve it. Next version, 7.0.2, will be a cleanup release and it will be available next week.
Hopefully, if not this version, 7.0.2 will fix your issue.

How does the shortcode [imagepress-show] work? I encounter a problem with my picture gallery, I import 48000 images from my older website and crash imagepress page by time out. All images are loaded for pagination?

I think 48.000 images are too many for the loop to handle. I don’t have a demo that big, but I’ll set up a server and add 50.000 images and see where the bottleneck is.

Despite the recent version, my problem of loading images and authors is always present.
I know, I forgot to send you an email update. I think the issue is that you are having 48.000 images, and they are all being loaded. In this case, a theme approach should occur, because the pagination is dynamic for the images, so that the filtering and sorting can work.
I am still playing with this, but it’s a huge change in how the plugin works and I might need to add a separate shortcode for a theme-oriented gallery page. This would mean that pages would look like example.com/gallery/2 and example.com/gallery/3 and example.com/gallery/4 for the actual pages, instead of dinamically loading the pages.
I have no timeline for this feature, but I will send you an email tonight and see what I can do for your theme. I’ve done it before for another client, it was a custom solution.

We are trying to build a stock image website with Download feature. We will be having a paid and a free section. For selling we will be using a different plugin as i understand that imagepress cant be used for selling images. Hence for the free section we will use Imagepress. We have the following questions before we purchase.
1. Does the plugin have any compatibility issues with Themify themes? 2. Is there any feature where we can add a “Download image” button with the images? So that visitors can download images with the click of a button? 3. Are there features to display only selected details of the images, eg we do not wish to display exif etc.

1. I am not aware of any theme issue, but if one occurs, we will fix it as soon as possible.
2. There is no feature for image download, I will add one in the next version.
3. There are no EXIF details, you can see the demo for what images will display like.
We are also working on a payment module, so that ImagePress can be used to sell images, but there’s no deadline for that, yet.

1. Yes, you can search using a search form, based on image name, category, author. The search is powered by AJAX, meaning it will dynamically search through images.
2. Yes, images can be tagged, based on preset tags that you set up in WordPress.

Purchased the plugin, however due to the lack of detailed documentation, still struggling to get it to work. Just the installation itself is not automated, i have to manually search for help over the net for all the user roles and settings!!!
Inside the plugin’s settings, you have a Dashboard section. You have all the shortcodes there. Also, there is a PDF included in the /documentation/ folder. Also, there’s a link inside the plugin’s settings leading to the official documentation page.

Hi. Go to the Users section in the ImagePress settings and add it. It should be “user” or “author” or “artist” or whatever you need.
Depending on the lightbox plugin you are using, it might provide you with a download button.

How about a slider though or a rotating image of some sort so it changed for the people that are viewing them. Does this work with any of the sliders out there? This setup is really nice but this seems to be very limited on front end display options.

Hello, I set up the plugin and my pages. When testing them out some of them required me to refresh the page in order for it to load correctly. Those pages being: 1) Whenever an image is clicked 2) After editing the profile 3) Accessing a user Profile Is there a way to fix this?
Maybe you have a caching plugin that’s acting up. Did you try with no active plugins and the default theme?

You don’t need to set anything in jQuery Colorbox, it works out of the box, just set it to work with all images.
You can only see an image list for now, I will add more widgets in the next version, next Thursday.

I’m trying to find out how to make Imagepress display larger thumbnails. Whatever I do, it keeps showing the same size (which i really, really small).
I’ve tried changing the settings, but when i I try to select a size from ”other registered sizes” – it switches back to ”thumbnail” when I save.
I’ve also tried changing the general thumbnail size i WP’s media settings – but to no avail.
I use a shortcode called [imagepress-show] to display the pictures.
I would like the thumbnails to be apps. 250×250px 
PS – I’m working in AVADA theme
Hi Marianne, I have fixed this behaviour and I will release an updated version tomorrow at noon. You will be able to dynamically set the number of images per row, from 1 to 10, so you will be able to pick the perfect size for your theme.

That function is used to display the notifications bell and a dropdown menu. It is used by the Noir UI theme. I will write a short tutorial on how to add notifications to any theme.

No, they are not. This depends on each site’s profile, some admins allow it, some don’t.

I need to make a web site for copyright registration of visual arts, thats mean artist do that steps:
1- register on the website
2- upload they own made images/videos in specific category (they are few category like 2D Arts, 3D Arts etc …)
3- web master check that image if confirmed will published on his/her own page artist gallery
4- this upload have limitation like upload how many uploads per month by user level (Normal, Golden, Diamond …)
5- this levels and limitation by point that user can gain or buy also could be free for basic option
