Can I see the admin demo before i purchase?
Hi there. We don’t have a live admin demo but Navi’s settings are in the standard WordPress live customizer. You can see how it looks on the item page.
Cheers.
Okay. Can I change the font and and use Google font? I want to customize the menu like this: http://www.bigspaceship.com
For that our Jumbo menu may be more appropriate. With it you can use your theme fonts.
Hi there! Will this work ok with the WP Reveal Modal plugin? https://wordpress.org/plugins/reveal-modal/ because we have tested it woth several fullscreen menus, and all of them went broken when ajax pages where accesed previously… Another question, can we add a bunch of information in child menus (at fullscreen mode)? maybe using widgets?? becasuse we have to add geographic information, of some regions, we are searching a nice way to show it (and this menu looks really nice! but will not work if it is only links)
Hi there. No, Navi doesn’t have widgets in sub-menus. As for AJAX sites, the menu won’t get broken but it also won’t close after a menu item is clicked, so your AJAX pages will just be loaded beneath them. The option to close the menu on click will be added this summer.
Cheers.
LUV your products!! Curious, can the menu icon be in a number of places/option, not just top left corner as in demo? Any way to see the Super customizer/screenshots pls?
Hi. Please check the image on the item page. You can see all the options you can change there. For the menu button, yes, you can change the position from left to right as well as fine-tune the top/side distance.
Cheers.
Ahhh ok GRT! and curious if maybe there is css you could provide that when I purchase for a client, Current Page link could be underlined instead of a line going through the page name? #YouROCK!$
Yeah, that’s easy-peasy. Happy to help with one or two small things like that. Just get in touch via the contact form on my profile after making the purchase and I’ll give you the CSS.
Cheers.
Great, Thnks!
How can I change the font?
Hi there.
That you’d have to change via the stylesheet (navi.css file). Just look for instances of “font-family”; you’ll find everything logically named so you shouldn’t have any trouble.
Cheers.
Looks great! Just curious, why is this item free until 4/5? Thanks!
It’s part of an on-going Envato promotion. Cheers.
I am really interested in using this plugin on my website and would want to buy it. But right now envato is providing it to me for free until 5th april it is downloadable it says. I did click on the link from the product page, https://codecanyon.net/user/ashleatives/download_free_item?item_id=1225331 it gets downloaded from this link, but a blank folder only. Uploading it on the website, I get the following eror: Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
Plugin install failed.
Can you please tell me what’s wrong and provide me a valid link to the real plugin or is it just a joke (April fool!)
???
I really wanted to try this free download and then buy it with additional support which I know I’d need
Kindly help me on this. Cheers!
Hi. You’re trying to install the entire downloaded file. Unpack and install the plugin file only.
Cheers.
This was probably answered before… does this natively replace the theme’s menu? I won’t have a conflict?
Hi. Navi does not interfere with or alter anything in your WordPress installation. So no, Navi does not replace your theme menu.
Cheers.
Love the menu. Looks great and works so smooth. One feature I would love is to be able to change the background image on the second layer based on what the user chose. Thanks!
Also, any way to disable the menu on some pages?
Hi, thanks for the kind words
You can hide it on certain pages with help of a per-post/page CSS plugin (google then, they’re free). Send me a message via the contact form on my profile and I’ll provide you with the necessary CSS code.
Cheers.
hi there,
is there any possible way to resize menu button and logo when window scroll? like when i scroll, the logo position (top and left) will change.
Thanks
Hi, thanks for the purchase.
That is not among the out-of-the-box feature set. It’s certainly possible to do but would have to be paid custom work. If that’s something you’d like to pursue, do feel free to send a message via the contact form on my profile.
Cheers.
thanks for the fast reply!
hi,
can i make the overly automatically close when click menu list?
regards
Hi.
Not a feature out of the gate. Can be done of course but would again have to be quick custom work. Please get in touch via the contact form on my profile if you’d like to follow up on that.
Cheers.
Curious if you could assist me in finding the right solutions within your suite of menu plugins that meet my particular needs?
1. I am in search of a full-screen (overlay) responsive menu that works across desktop to mobile, with a customizable activation trigger (button/link) of my choice, that also allows the use of multiple menus + triggers on the same page. Suggestions?
2. I am also in search of a plugin that meets the same requirements above (custom trigger, full-screen, overlay) but instead of displaying a menu, it displays a content page of my choice. Recommendations?
Hi.
1. Our menus are single-instance, site-wide. 2. Get acquainted with our Nest plugin. Sounds like it could be what you’re looking for.
Cheers.
How can I display “Menu” to the side of the hamburger menu? So anyone who doesn’t know what the hamburger menu means would know its menu?
Hi there. That’s not a feature at this time but I do have plans to add it. I could just do a quick release for it as a few other customers have requested it as well. I think that’s just what I’ll do
I can’t give a specific day but look for it within a week or so.
Cheers.
I have a standard text menu in place. Can I have the responsive menu icon only appear when the screen size is mobile-sized?
Hi.
You can. You can specify the exact resolution range at which Navi and its menu button will be visible.
Cheers.
Thanks. Can you tell me where I set those ranges?
On the settings page, under Appearance > Customize > Navi Plugin (look in the ‘Misc’ section).
Thanks. Found it right after I posted. I have it set to show between 400 and 768 pixels. Right now both the menu and logo regardless of the screen size. How can I set this to have them show only on smaller screens?
Nevermind the second question. I found the answer.I am however noticing that no matter what I do the menu positions to the left of the screen, even though I have the right orientation checked. How can this be adjusted?
Hi. The menu positioning is at the bottom of the “Menu” section in the settings area. If you’re positive your settings are entered correctly and you’ve cleared your cache etc., send me an message through the contact form on my profile with your site address and I’ll have a quick look.
Cheers.
Hi there, loving the plugin but it seems to be causing a slight conflict with my theme [The X Theme]. When I activate your plugin, none of the fade animations on my site work anymore, but when I deactivate it they work fine
Is there a simple way to fix this please? It’s not the end of the world if not, but it would be nice! Thank you.
Hi. That’s a strange one. Got a link for me (send via email if you don’t want to share publicly)?
Wow, that was quick. Please feel free to take a look http://tinyurl.com/gl34vua – it’s still a work in progress of course.
Which fade animations are you talking about, exactly? I hover over the buttons for example and they work fine?
Sorry, I didn’t mean the hover effects. I turned the fade animations off because items don’t show up when I have them on with the navi plugin activated.
I’ve now disabled the plugin and turned the animations back on, so if you reload the page you’ll see that the text boxes and icons fade in with animations. Thanks.
Ok, leave the animations on and enable Navi as well, otherwise I can’t troubleshoot.
No worries, you’ll notice that the second text box and the icons lower down no longer display with the plugin activated. Thanks.
Remove this from navi.css:
html, body {
width:100%;
height:100%;
padding:0;
margin:0;
}
That did the trick. Thank you for such helpful and responsive support. You are a superstar.
Sure thing
I’ll run a few more tests on my end and have this covered in the next update as well, so you don’t have to keep editing it when a new version is released.
Cheers.
Fantastic.
Hello again. Everyone loves your fullscreen navigation and has commented on how slick it looks.
I just have a quick question though please. A few people have said it isn’t very user friendly that you have to click the arrow to access the second level of the menu. Is there anyway to make this more intuitive – maybe could we make the text clickable or have the sub-menu open on hover please?
Thank you.
Hi. You don’t have to click the arrow, the full menu items opens the sub-menu (text + arrow). The hover even implies that.
Cheers.
Thanks for your reply. That’s odd then, because that doesn’t happen for us. Did I maybe do something wrong? The site is http://tinyurl.com/gl34vua – thanks again.
Try removing the ”#” as the link from the top-level item, so the link field for the “Services” menu item would be empty.
Aha! Perfect man thanks!
Sure thing
PS. Noticed that now that menu item, when hovered, shows the text cursor, not pointer as links should have. You can add this to your stylesheet to take care of that as well: .navi-by-bonfire a { cursor:pointer; }
Cheers.
That’s what you call support – fixing issues before we even have chance to mention them! Thanks once again.
Is it possible to change the background when you hover over links such as this http://oskstudio.com ?
HI. Not a feature at this time. I’m looking to update Navi with more interesting menu styles in the future though, so never say never.
Cheers.
Hey love the plugin dude. How would I go about putting text as the logo. Thanks in advance
Hi. It’ll show your site name (whatever you’ve set it to in your WordPress srpettings) as soon as it’s activated, no need to do anything more if you want to show the logo as text.
Ahh yeah, dunno how I forgot to check that . haha thank you though.
Hi, I have a question if the menu looks good on mobile devices, because when I checked how it looks on mobile devices via Google Chrome the text from the menu doesn’t show up, just the menu button. I was told that checking mobile responsiveness via Google Chrome is not very competent. Maybe that’s an issue. My website is still on my local server so I can’t check how it looks on mobile devices.
Thanks, Tamara
Hi there.
Navi has been tested on multiple browsers on multiple devices, including Chrome on Windows, iOS and Android.
Cheers.
Hi,
I have an issue with the plugin. When I wanted to move it on the right side I could only do that in css but when I do that the names of the pages of the menu are not visible on mobile. Is there any way to make it show up on the right side of the site on mobile?
Thanks,
Tamara
Hi. Anything’s possible given enough know-how and effort but I really can’t comment on any customizations you’ve made on your own I’m afraid. Also, please post future comments from the account you made the purchase from as you don’t have a buyer’s badge.
Cheers.
Wow, that was FAST! Thank you for your help – that worked a treat.
Just bought your plugin it is super – thank you. Just a quick question, how do I remove the strike-through/crossed out text effect on the current page please? Thanks in advance.
Hi. You can get rid of that by removing these lines from navi.css
.navi-by-bonfire ul li.current-menu-item > a {
color:#6A7074;
text-decoration:line-through;
}
...and these:
.navi-by-bonfire ul.sub-menu li.current-menu-item > a {
color:#6A7074;
text-decoration:line-through;
}
Sorry to bother you again, but just noticed a little bug. I’m using Foobox lightbox plugin and it seems to make the ‘x’ in the corner of the menu vanish so there is no way to close the navigation. I tried changing the z-index in the CSS file but it doesn’t have any effect. My site is http://goo.gl/qBOlQX thanks!
Just to add, I found that Foobox works better than other Lightbox plugins I found as it doesn’t cause things to mess up other than the missing ‘x’.
Works fine when I load the default navi.css. You’ve set the z-index to a value that’s not recognized. Place the default value back, clear your caches and it should work fine.
Thanks for the quick reply. Sadly that doesn’t fix things. Obviously I wouldn’t have messed with the z-index if it had been okay
Ah now I see. You said before that Foobox made the X button vanish, but it’s still visible, just not clickable. It’s your z-index change that made it vanish. I’ll look into it again, back soon..
I’m still seeing that the default z-index value works fine. When you changed it back just now, you changed it to be too low now, so it’s visible but now clickable. Change the z-index to the default value and on my end all works fine.
Thanks for your continued help.
Sorry that was my mistake I copied the value from the demo site rather than looking at the original file.
Unfortunately that still doesn’t seem to work the ‘x’ isn’t visible [although the hamburger icon is visible now] and the menu shows above the lightbox, which looks weird as the text is white on a white background.
Sorry, Ignore that – I changed the settings and the ‘x’ is back again. Is there a way to make the dark background show above the lightbox please?
Add to bottom of navi.css:
.navi-main-wrapper { z-index:99999999; }
.navi-main-background { z-index:9999999; }
Absolute genius. Thank you so much
Sure thing. Psst: that sounds best when said with a shiny rating for Navi
Have a good one.
Hello thanks very cool plugin and I’m customizing myself with success, I have one question can you explain me a little bit how the animation of the “burger icon” works? Because I made it bigger but when click on it the X is deformed so I need a little guidance here. Thanks
Hi. You’ll find the animation details in navi.php, under /* menu button animations (-/X) */.
If you customize the button size, you’ll have to readjust the animation there.
Cheers.
Dear Bonfire Themes,
your work is a piece of art!
A few questions:
1. Is the Menu icon fixed when scrolling down the page? 2. Can I use an icon instead of text? 3. Can the menu items be centered once opened? 4. Can I add my Logo?
Thank you in advance,
Best Regards Asterios
Thanks for the kind words
1. Can be both fixed or absolute. 2. I guess that depends how you enter it. Icons aren’t included but if you can use your icons on the default menu on one of the default WordPress themes, then you can use them with Navi. 3. Left only. 4. No logo for now, but I have plans for an update that will include a logo position as well.
Cheers.
I knew it that you will reply within minutes… Your support is fantastic.
Thank you for the answers.
You have said in a previous comment that the plugin is available for testing as well. How is that possible?
Not anymore afraid, it was removed from the testing site.
Ok, thank you anyway.
