Hi there, I’m curious if you addon allows for me to create a grid with the greyscale effect, with a function that allows users to click on it and have it popup with text and information in a box that can be closed via X. I have a lot of people that represent specific clients and want to be able to have information appear when you click on the logos. Thanks!
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. You can have a grid of logos with a grayscale effect, but the plugin doesn’t include a lightbox feature to display more info like you mention. You could display more info with a tooltip, but it would display on hover. Using an extra lightbox plugin you could trigger an iframe to open in a lightbox. I want to have a grid of ads. So I have an html block ... for each element. Most grid plugins do not have a way for me to handle this type of grid content. Can your plugin handle this, and how would it be done?

Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. There isn’t a limit for the amount of entries you can display in a grid or carousel. You can have as many as you want. I have a interior design store , with tree sections , furniture , wallcoverings , fabrics, i would like to have a slider on each section with the brand logos .
So i don´t know if this plugin do the trick .
Can i manage multiple sliders or there is one slider that can be managed via shortcode , per example i don´t want to show furniture brand logos into fabrics section , so i copy the shorcode to fabrics section and in the shorcode selects only the frabric brands that i want to show .
It´s a little bit confusing to me , i think my scenario will be covered , but i´m not shure.

Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. You can associate each logo with a category and then have a shortcode to display only the logos of a certain category. Hi Carlos, thx for your reply and sorry for not being precise enough! It is correct that child categories are shown as dropdowns when I select the main category. But what I wanted is to show ONLY the sub/child categories as filter tabs without using and showing the main category. When I select only the child categories (with “Select multiple Categories”) the corresponding logos are selected and shown correctly in shortcode generator but there is no tab (except the “All” tab) for filtering the selected child categories. Would be great if there is a (simple) solution for that…

Works like a charm! That was exact what I needed, thank you so much! One more suggestion: in shortcode generator it would be nice if one could see the exact hierarchic tree of all categories (with child categories shown directly below their “parents”). Currently there is list of ALL categories ordered alphabetically, that makes it difficult to choose the right one if there are more (child-)categories with the same name. Maybe there will be an update with this “comfort-feature”..? Greetings, Swen

I noticed 2 things with your nice plugin
1/ It doesn’t notify when it’s outdated. I had 1.7.5, latest version was 1.7.9 but it wasn’t showing anything in wp-admin plugins page.
2/ Can it be that your plugin often re-creates the images we use within? I use a daily file scanner and around twice a week, the images I’m using within your plugin have their creation date changed.

For automatic updates, consider using the WP Envato Market plugin: http://envato.github.io/wp-envato-market/ With premium plugins it’s tricky to implement automatic updates, but envato has released this plugin that makes it easier for all.
About the images creation date, not sure what could be causing this. The plugin doesn’t have any code that would trigger the images to be re-created. Maybe a cache plugin is interfeering? Do you notice if there’s any pattern to when it happens? If you make an edit, or create something new on the site?

What I noticed is that only the images used within your carousel were updating. They’re all updating in 3s, at different hours, usually during night time or very late in the evening. It happens even when we didn’t work on the site for several days so it’s not triggered by something we’d have done in back-end. Maybe by a visitor’s action? Last, there’s no cache plugin, as the site is not in production yet.
I didn’t know this Envato plugin, it’s excellent, thank you! I installed it and it found another outdated plugin, that’s really cool. Thanks for your help.

Really no idea of what could be causing it. The plugin will only create the thumbnails when the images are uploaded the first time. Maybe there’s a cron job running that verifies the existing thumbnails or regenerates thumbails? Not sure what user action would trigger this. Do you have any other plugin that handles images/thumbnails that might have a cron job running? Maybe the file scanner even? Cheers, Carlos
Hi, I have been using your plugin for a number of years. I now have a client that is saying that all of the logos are fuzzy on their iPhone. Is there a way to use this plugin with retina displays so that the logos are not blurry? Thanks, Ransome

Hi! Latest versions of the plugin should be retina ready, there will be an option for this in the settings. When this option is enabled, 2 thumbnails will be creating when uploading the image, the normal size and retina size. If you use the latest version and re-upload the images (making sure they are big enough) with this option enabled, it should look better on retina displays. Hope it helps! Greetings, Carlos

Hello, Is it possible to get an active filter on a grid filtered ? I have like 200 logos in 4 categories, even on 8 columns, i will got 5 lines so i will activate the filters and arrive on the page with one category active. How will i do ? Thanks
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. We could implement a jQuery code snippet to have a category be selected according to a parameter in the URL. For example, site.com/page#cat-1 would open the page and select cat-1 in the filter. And even set one by default if none is set in the url. But this would still mean all images load, even if they are hidden with filters. Greetings, Carlos
