With the last update of NextGen Gallery, royalslider crash, it returns this error in galleries
Default Gallery Type Template
This is the default gallery type template, located in: /usr/home/xxxx/web/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_gallery_display/templates/index.php.
If you’re seeing this, it’s because the gallery type you selected has not provided a template of it’s own.

Hi, the RoyalSlider looks great. I’m currently searching a Plugin for my WordPress Installation, which can provide a slider gallery from my 500px Portfolio (!!) Galleries. Not the default 500px galleries. Is this possible with this plugin?

Unfortunately no, 500px API is quite limited in this case, you can show photos only by specific username, or popular/featured. Consider uploading images directly to WordPress. Hi Semenov, I’ve got a pre-purchase question: Right now I’ve got some functionality set up in my WP theme (built it myself), where I’ve got a DIV fixed on top of my frontpage, which is automatically using whatever image I’ve set as featured for my front page (like a “Hero” image, but where this fixed DIV is pulling the featured image set for the page). So my question is, can I modify the Royal Slider to put the images in this DIV? Or maybe a DIV of my choice? Thanks.

Yes, you may embed the slider anywhere via PHP function, shortcode or widget.Or you mau just get non-WordPress version and manually generate the markup.

I am using “Royal Slider” for one of my website and I must admit that it’s an amazing plugin. I am planning to buy another license for my second website. But before that I had a query. That website has one main domain under which I have two subdomains. Can I use the one license for all of these 3 (One main domain and 2 sub domain under it.) If yes, will I get automatic updates to all of three with the same license key. You are requested to reply asap so that I can make decision on this.

It depends. If designs or owners of these two websites are different – you need a separate license for each. Otherwise, you need just one. Auto-updates will work either way.

Yes, link does not block swipe gesture and does not trigger during it.

I am using a theme called MIES designed by PIXELGRADE and they tell me they use royal slider code in the theme.
I have a mobile RTL issue; when I add a BG slider picture it is centered and looks OK on a mobile device, but when another image is added to the slider, you see the right side of the image and not its center.
PIXELGRADE support does not help.
This is what they wrote me: I’m really sorry that I missed to send you a message about this. After some investigations, it turned out the problem is related to a jQuery plugin which we’re using for the sliders – Royal Slider. The plugin seems to have some issues on right to left sites as yours, and I found some topics about this on their forum -here and here. We rely on this script for the slider and I don’t think there’s something we can do in order to improve this, I’m really sorry for this. You might be able to find a fix if you hire a developer to assist it and make some tweaks in the plugin’s code, but can’t promise nothing.

I have a major problem with buying this plugin after reading on all your promo that it supports Youtube / Vimeo / videos and when I pay a developer to put it in, and spend half a day to make it work, come to find out, it is not even embed support? There is no such setting, as there are autoplay options like “stop at any action” or “pause on hover”. But if you have some JS knowledge, you may implement it via slider API.

You may place any HTML content in each slide,. including shortcodes. But I haven’t used the plugin that you linked, you might need to dynamically initialize the ads via JS using slider API, as RoyalSlider doesn’t keep all slides in DOM at once to save memory.

You can place any HTML content in each slide, or use Global Caption (which is a static element that changes HTML text as you browse through images).

There is no such prebuilt example, if you want text to be on top of the image – just enable global caption, if you want text to be below the image – enable auto-height and disable image scaling so height of slides is changed based on content inside like here http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/royal-slider/content-slider/
As an alternative, you may move the caption via JS to any element on page.
