Hi. On the “Wizard steps” tab – when I try to change the step name, it changes back to default, when i Save Changes. Everything else saves just fine. Any idea?

Hi Argthemes, great work on the plugin.
Just have one quick question, for some reason the next/previous buttons both take up 100% of the space so the Next button and the previous button is twice the size it should be and overlapping the screen. Any ideas why this might be happening?

At the first look the default “woocommerce-checkout” class is missing from the body tag. We added the class to the div#id=”page” tag and everything works fine.

Thank you for your reply… I have managed to replicate what you said above but sadly I have little idea of where I can find the theme file to change it.
Inspect element proved your answer but I do not know which file to change to add the additional class. Based on what you said I would expect it to be a theme file changed rather than the templates within the woocommerce plugin itself.

Does this checkout validate at each step? we want to collect email upfront and make sure it works with abandoned cart.

Glad you asked that, the validation process was very important for us too.
Yes, the multistep validates at each step all required/visible fields.To validate each field, the plugin uses the same rules as “woocommerce plugin” itself.
For a best user experience, we don’t let the user to navigate to the last step, hit the “place order” button and get some errors because of the invalid fields from previous steps.

In order to better understand how the plugin works we just need to clarify a few things:
1. Themes Compatibility
ARG Multistep Checkout for WooCommerce was built having in mind all the WooCommerce functionalities. We also needed to make sure that the plugin will work with all the ecommerce themes. Since each theme is different and built by different teams has determined us to make some workarounds in our implementation to make sure that the plugin won’t cause any issues.
Besides multistep tabs and multistep footer styles and functionalities, the plugin offers a great feature, namely the design and styles for the woocommerce checkout forms (login form, coupon form, billing form…).
This feature named Checkout Forms Styles is located under the “Wizard Styles” Tab. So, if you prefer the plugin checkout forms styles then select the “Plugin” option and the form styles will be inherited from the plugin.(By selecting this option you can style the checkout form elements to look the way you want and need.) If not, by selecting the “Theme” option, your theme checkout form styles will be inherited.
Please note that whatever option you choose will not affect the multistep tabs and multistep footer styles and functionalities.
In conclusion, the plugin is compatible with all the WooCommerce and Wordpress based themes.
2. WPML Plugin Compatibility
The plugin works fine with WPML. However, if you find any issue please send us a message to support@argthemes.com and we will do our best to solve it.
3. Plugin Lightweight
This plugin is lightweight, really easy to use and highly customizable.

While you can get those three steps shown in the screenshots using the built in options, having the same design would require custom coding. As you can see on the demo we’re having multiple tab styles you can choose from. Feel free to look at our online documentation to make an idea on what editing options you have.

Yes, there is a built in option which helps you skip the registration step.
2. How we can check the second and other steps?
You can simply hit the Skip button (you can see it on the demo) and ignore the first and second steps which are the Login and Coupon steps. Also you have options to hide Order and Shipping steps. But Billing and Payment steps are required by WooCommerce in the checkout process.
3. What can be customized on every step? Number of fields?
The number of fields are managed by WooCommerce. You can change colors, tab names, sizes and so on.
My suggestion is to take a look at our online documentation to make an ideea on how many cool editing options you have and feel free to ask us if you have more questions!

Hello, sorry for not returning before. I’ve been doing a test here and found out that the plugin is incompatible with the theme I’m using, Mr. Tailor. https://themeforest.net/item/mr-tailor-responsive-woocommerce-theme/7292110 I tested it in the native theme and functioned normally. It is a regret because I really enjoyed the plugin, and of all who bought and researched, it was the best of all.
