I just purchased and installed your Bog System. It looked pretty until I clicked on a category title, the categories pages are not loading the styles or images at all, just the texts. Home and Posts do work great.

Sorry about this, I fixed it. I had to add “/“ at the end of my Site Address in settings.
I do need to fix how the blog shows the spanish symbols and accents like ñ á é í… do you know how? Right now it shows “ArtÃculos más“ instead of “Artículos más“

Please try to change the charset encoding to UTF-8 for the post table in the database
It did not work. I tried with utf8_bin, utf8_general_ci, utf8_spanish_ci and nothing. It appears wrong only on texts like “Older posts“ – “Previous posts“, Right panel: “Categories“ and “Las articles“ and in every category title from the top menu and right panel as well.
Content of posts are being printed correctly.
Any ideas?
I think I fixed it. I had to add “<meta charset=”UTF-8”>“ in every template page.

So I figured out the 404 error when opening a sample post. Problem now is that I can not create a category or post. The forms (new category & new post) come up without a problem but when I hit the ‘Add Category’ or ‘Add Post’, the form just resets, removing the data entered into the fields. No error message and no message stating that the category or post can not be created. Any thoughts on what I have set incorrectly? **When I add a new user, everything works correctly. The new user is added to the Users table without a problem.
I can not add new catagories or new posts. Also, when I try to open up one of the sample posts, I get a 404 error. Any ideas?
Hello, one fast question. When adding an image it asks for image location. Can you quickly inform us how the format for designating image location is used?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. If you are talking about the post image, it is uploaded under uploads/posts/. If you are looking to add images within a post, you would need to upload the images somewhere and link them directly.

I checked the updates and it looks great. However, two minor issues I would offer suggestions:??
1. In the Admin >Comments > Approval and disapproval: I think we should show what blog it’s linked to. This, I belive would make it more convenient to analyze.
2. There should be a Preview Webpage or a Preview Blog option. This way it’s more convenient to review all changes and updates to the blog posts.
btw. I love the fact that we can add a www.- to blog and it will automatically create URL link. Is there a way to turn this off? or make it open in a new tab?
In other words is there an html version of the blog that we can create?

Looks great! Awesome job on this, best out of any blog script I’ve seen here.
Few minor missing things I noticed when reviewing everything before purchase:
1. When you’re viewing an individual post on website, the category & date aren’t shown. 2. Tags aren’t shown anywhere, you can show them on hover on main page, and then above/below content on individual post page. Also have a sidebar with tags 3. Author (user?) isn’t shown anywhere for the post, should be shown on individual post page. Can also have an option to show/hide author per post. 4. In admin area, the list of posts should show category, maybe another field or 2. 5. What are keywords used for? 6. Option to use disqus comments instead of built-in comments would be great.

Yes it is possible to change the index.php to blog.php or /blog. However you need to change the links within the template files.
For your other questions, For the navigation in the header please have a look at menu.phtml, For making the excerpts more compact with a smaller post thumbnails you would need to change the HTML, CSS within the template files.

BEST SIMPLE BLOG IVE SEEN HERE. Needs two things. A) Social Sharing feature – ability to share the post on FB, Twitter, ect. this can be done two ways:
1. for non-techies, you should add it in the settings where we can add our account names or url.2. For techies, we will need the file in which to drop the 3rd Party social sharing script in FTP. ( I prefer #1)
Newsletter Add-on – ability to let subscribers opt-in to receive newsletter emails and to send simple newsletter / email. I know there are 3rd party apps that does this. But to have this included would be extremely awesome. Other scripts here have them. So I’m certain this blog could use the update in next version…

the current (updated 22nd) template is great. I think it’s the one we will use.
But what happen to the following:
1. The other template is no longer available.
2. Can we add Google / or embedded codes for ads banners? OR
3. Ability to use HTML or PHP code in Posts ->> so we can add things like google analytics, banner ads, etc… and
4. Subscribe to Newsletters? _ in fact if we can use HTML or PHP codes in our posts, then we can add a third party embed code to do a popup subscribtion. Google has a good 3rd party app called Hello Bar that I would like to use.

2&3)I will be adding an input for Google Analytics code, About the banners. You can easily modify the template files.The software is using a template engine and it is not hard coded.
4) Going to add a subscribe functionality for the moment to store the details and will be adding the mailing functionality in the future. However You can use custom HTML code or PHP.
