May be with new advertisement you mean new post publish. Plugin will not post automatically unless you press share button.
We are workin on to add auto post function but before it is ready we cannot say will it be part of plugin as free addon or paid addon or it will be stand alone product.

By ‘LIKE’ button, I don’t mean a like button for Facebook or any other social site, I just want a simple like button on which a user can click if he likes the material and it registers a like and shows the total number of likes next to the button,

The button that you need in our plugin we call Love this button – http://prntscr.com/ccxflq
Once added this button allow users to press if they like content and post get +1 in love counter (you can rename it as you wish). We have set internal limitation for one click per user on each 24 hours.
The button comes with widget or shortcode that you can use to display the most loved posts as list http://prntscr.com/ccxgqq
The love button is part of share buttons and you can use along with all others or standalone (with shortcode, widget or embed with code into theme). As a regular share button you can use it with any of plugin templates or button styles in any location (just like regular share button).

Unfortunately here answer is no. Currently Essential Grid does not provide enough developer hooks to integrate buttons inside grid. We hope soon they will manage to create such and we will hook immediately into them.

We check code of page and now it is not present in sharing description in your social share optimization tags. For some posts it is appearing and we suppose that Facebook bot cached them before you activate generation of social share optimization tags.
To settle immediate update of your information in Facebook you need to use Facebook Open Graph Debugger tool to update data for page – we have article in our blog that describes in brief how to use it http://appscreo.com/facebook-debugger-tool/ .
Updating some posts data using that tool will speed up Facebook automatic update of all.

From the screenshot it looks like your homepage is list of latest articles or similar which makes plugin recognize it. You can use the option to deactivate plugin on home page if that is so or option to deactivate plugin on page with ID where you put ID of homepage if it is static one.

Can anyone tell me how to choose the “Share Point” instead of having all of the share buttons show? I’d like to have the ability to just have the share point show under each excerpt, and then that people click on the point to choose their social network. Hi, when sharing content that doesn’t have text it defaults and shows all the sharing social networks in the text/code under the shared picture of the page. Is there an option for it not to show code or social networks but just show the site description under the shared picture? I hope you understand what I am trying to say. Yes we understand you. The option you are look for is social share optimization. Once you activate that option you will be able to control the shared information over social networks and you will be able to set description when it is missing or use blank if you not set such but avoid appearing of buttons.

If you have version 3.7.2 installed but you still see this message than you need to clear cache of cache plugin you use, CDN if such is active and very rarely you may need to clear your own browser cache to see the change.

This error appears if you try to get counter data on localhost development site or with URL that is not reachable by Facebook (page with restricted access – coming soon mode, private page and etc.)

The shortcodes for native buttons will not work if you run plugin into Easy Mode. Please deactivate Easy Mode from the top right corner button and then try again.

How do I turn off Easy Metrics Lite plugin completely? Its slowing down wordpress because it create way too many scheduled/cron tasks.

To turn it off you can visit Social Buttons -> Social Metrics Lite and turn it off. Depends on posts you have and time you schedule you may see this if the cron cannot complete at all.
We recommend to avoid usage of periods less than 1 day if you have many posts.

Sorry – we did not understand the question but if you ask will buttons appear automatically then answer is yes. Once you activate positions you will use and choose post types (any post type including buildin or custom you have) they will be displayed automatically.
We also provide option for exclusive deactivate or activate plugin or selected pages or posts.

We have plans to add such function into near feature but this will be more like standalone product or add-on. The reason for this is that social network autoposting requires lot of code to connect and post to each social APIs.
At this time we cannot give additional information as we are not sure how it will be released till it is finished at alpha stage.

No you do not need to have separate plugin installed. Our plugin generate all required social share optimization tags (open graph, twitter cards and etc.) and you can also personalize theme in case you need this via post settings.

The problem is not related to WordPress 4.6. You are not running latest version of plugin 3.7.2 where change in Facebook API for counters is applied. To get counter appear back you need to have this version installed.
Version is available into automatic updates if you have set your purchase key or you can download it from your CodeCanyon profile and make a manual plugin update.
Once you update plugin you need to clear cache and CDN if you use such to allow new counter entry point appear.

With latest change of Facebook API they remove options to get detailed counter stats – you have only total counter returned that is result of likes and shares. We are exploring for another way token based to get detailed counter stat but if there is no such available we will remove the option into next update.

Is it possible to count the Facebook Like manually (via the clicks), and not via the real likes? That means in your plugin you add a manual count exactly like you did for Twitter. That would allow everyone to count the Likes differently than the Share+Likes
