It seems that you have an outdated PHP version. Bookly requires at least PHP 5.3.7 or higher, which was released in 2011. Usually you can switch the PHP version in the admin panel of your hosting provider.

When we embed the bookly shortcode in our custom post type’s custom field. It crashes our site. Is it possible to embed in a custom field, or can it only be embedded in the main text for a post?

You should change the language of your Wordpress so Bookly could switch one too. Check the PoEdit application if you need to correct particular strings.

Is there some way to show “User’s Timezone” under the appointment detail?

Since we’ll have users from several timezones, we want to know user’s timezone from appointment details.

I know there is a “time_zone_offset” columns in “wp_ab_customer_appointments” table, but don’t you have any options to show user’s time zone info?

Thank you for purchasing Bookly.

I’m afraid that the plugin doesn’t have the ability to check customer’s location.
As a workaround you might add a dropdown that would be named “Time Zone” and users would just select their timezone.

We have 1 more question about the remind email. “Evening reminder to customer about next day appointment (requires cron setup)”.

I want to confirm below 2 points.

1. Yes, it will be sent accordingly to your timezone.
2. Emails will also contain the time according to customer’s timezone. That timezone offset shows difference between your timezone settings and customer’s.

Hi,

I’m having Google Cal issues. I have everything set up correctly as far as I can tell, and my new appointments are being sent to to Google Cal, but things added in Google Cal do not show up as unavailable on the booking screen of Bookly. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Changing the number of fetched events to the maximum helped. Is there any negative to keeping it on the max?

Yes, If there are a lot of events in Google Calendar sometimes this leads to a lack of memory in PHP when Bookly tries to fetch all events.

Pre-Sale question. I want to set up a directory where the user can post their listing and create their own booking availability using your plugin on a multi-site. So the main directory would have the listing and a booking option per posted listing and when the user click on the listings website they are then directed to the site that they created within out multi-site using the same booking plugin. Can I achieve this goal using your plugin. If so how would that setup look. I’m going to be using wpmu pro-sites along with your booking widget.

This might not be looking like you’ve described but at some point it would be possible to grant access to staff members. They would send you their listings so you could personalize the copy of Bookly according to their needs using Appearance tab and some HTML code.
Please, note that only admin user can create staff members.

Hello,

I reviewed and want to buy this plugin, but have some concern regarding its functionalities. So I want to confirm once that the following features are available in the plugin:

1- Change Service name i.e Category changes to Jump, Service changes to XYZ etc. 2- In details section, need age & sex column with name, email and phone number. 3- Group Booking Functionalities, if more than one e.g 3 person is booking the slot, then we will have details like name, age, sex for all the 3 persons in the backend. 4- We will receive an e-mail if a person is booking the slot so that I can come to know without login in my wordpress dashboard through my email only that we got a new order.

These are few functionalities that should be there in the plugin. So, kindly make it clear and reply on my email asap so that we can go ahead and buy this plugin.

Hi Kumar, thanks for the interest!

Almost all features are supported with the exception of this one, if one person books an appointment he’ll be able to add/fill in his own personal details but not for the whole group.

Currently these are the supported gateways: PayPal Express Checkout, Stripe, Authorize.Net, 2Checkout, PayU Latam, Payson and Mollie.

Thank you for your reply. I need to confirm some more following concerns:

1- I need to have available/booked time slots shown based on the options that a person select and the available time slots will vary according to the options i.e the time slots should be dynamic enough to change as per the options selected. e.g. as per your demo, if a person selects Cosmetic Dentistry as a category & ‘Crown & Bridge’ in services, he will be able to see a specific time slot table showing which slots are available/booked. But if a person selects another service or category e.g Root Canal Treatments in Orthodontics, he is able to see a different time slot table as compare to the one he saw in Cosmetic Dentistry.

2-Need to integrate CCavenue payment gateway, so can it be integrated in the plugin?

3- If we are not unable to integrate some options e.g payment gateway, booking slots, option additions etc, so how feasible it is that we can get the support from you guys?

1) The available time slots are displayed according to the staff members’ schedule and availability, you can check our demos to see how it works.

I’m not sure I’m clear on why in the WooCommerce tab in the settings I have to select a booking product from the dropdown. If I do not, even if Woocommerce is enabled it will not show Woocommerce products only the bookly service. When I choose a product from the booking product dropdown I’m not getting the correct products to show in my woocommerce cart.

Discrepancy between Payment and Customer Menu Data/Information

There is a discrepancy between the accumulative customer spend vs. payments listed in the ‘Bookly > Customers’ menu vs. what is listed in the ‘Bookly > Payments menu(s)’.

Payments: Within Payments, it lists the correct amount for each single and/or Cart-based transaction.

Customers: Within the Customers menu, it appears to be duplicating Cart-based transactions and multiplying them by the total Cart balance, per booking.

For Example: One (1) service is purchased at $10 = Payment and Customer menu transaction of $10.

Two (2) services are purchased via Cart at $10 each = Payment amount of $20, but Customer amount of $40. 2×20 = 40

It appears the Customer menu is duplicating the amount of services purchased by the total Cart price and providing inaccurate reporting with the Customer tab.

As mentioned, this only impacts the view with the Customer menu. The Payment menu records are accurate and so are the customer fees/transaction amounts. The only payment method accepted on the site is PayPal.

Looking to resolve the issue to ensure payments and services are properly documented across all measuring, monitoring, reporting offerings.

Please let me know what additional information you may need.

I have the following problem. I translated an entry in the file Bookly – es_ES.po with Loco Translate WP plugin, specifically the value “Any” in the employee selection. I have translated as ” selección … ” apparently not updated and still “Any” appearing . when I add the plugin to a blank page , the translated field appears me , but when I want to schedule an appointment the original value appears.

I am using the miniOrange plugin to allow users to log in with their social network accounts (my customers have a difficult time remembering usernames and passwords). The plugin appears to be creating accounts and logging in successfully. They are able to book appointments with Bookly, but their appointment list always shows “No appointments found.” What can I do to get this working?

The customers that are added in Bookly should be linked to WordPress user accounts, and once a customer will be logged in with his WP account he’ll see his appointments. Try also enabling this setting “Create WordPress user account for customers”.

Hello folks,

I have two questions about Bookly.

1. I set up email notifications. The appointment sets pending as default, and I choose not to send the email to customer but staff when it is pending, and to send the emails to both when it is approved. However, the email notification does not work when the customer is booking online. No email is sending to staff when the customer books an appointment, but once I change to “approve”, both customer and staff will receive the emails.

2. Under section “Appointment”, when you click an appointment, the “edit appointment” window will pop up. For “send notification”, it is “Don’t Send” as default, how could I change the default to “If status changed”, or “To all customers”.

Hi, I have setup the plugin correctly to sync events from the plugin to google calendar but if an event is created in google calendar I know you say it won’t show as an event in the plugin but does it block that time of in the admin area of the plugin otherwise my admin will answer the phone and book appointments in and then the staff member could end up being double booked. Ideally at the very least the plugin should see that google calendar has something there and block that of in the plugin calendar. Can you please confirm and simplify to me how this works. Thank you

Bookly provides 2 way sync with Google Calendar. However, if you create or change an event in Google Calendar the related appointment is not created/updated in Bookly (the other way it does work). However each event from Google Calendar is taken into account when displaying available time slots to user in the second step of booking process. So if you have an event in Google Calendar then the corresponding time slot will be not available for booking in Bookly.

When the plugin syncs with Google calendar, the appointments are being set at an hour later. For example, if there is an appointment from 8am-9am in Google Calendar, the nine o’clock slot in Bookly is being marked as unavailable instead of the eight o’clock slot. On the other hand, if you create an appointment for eight o’clock in Bookly, it is added at 7 o’clock in Google Calendar. Both Google Calendar and WordPress are set to UTC-4 (EST) and the “Use Client Timezone” option is disabled (not that it would matter, as all test devices were also set to UTC-4).

You need to add one these codes to email notifications template: [[CUSTOM_FIELDS]] or [[CUSTOM_FIELDS_2C]]. In the admin panel you can see the custom fields after you open an appointment and click on the customer’s name.

Hi there,

I was interested in your plugin and had a question of functionality.

Specifically, I need a system that allows customers to buy “classes” in blocks of 8 or 16 (essentially a week or a month of working out 2 days a week) and apply them to a schedule that works for them and the trainer.

Is this something that can be done within the Bookly system with woocommerce? Almost buy a set of “tokens’ or ‘credits’ to apply to a calendar.
