By the way, I moved my site to a new domain and now every time I try to look for an address I got a message like this: “We could not understand the location Carrer de Provença, 261-265, Barcelona, España”...
Hi,
Please send me the link of your map to check this.
Thank you
Hi I just purchased this and need help. Somethings is not working correctly and i”m not sure what.
I followed the instructions and I also can’t find the custom field I’m looking for in the single post of options.
In the field “Custom field name”, enter your custom field name.
To find the custom field name, edit one of your posts, once the edit page opened, click on the link “Screen Options” located on the top-right corner of your page. A window will be displayed; make sure to select the option “Custom Fields” (Note: If you can’t find this option, you should contact your theme support to show you how to add it!). After you select that option, Scroll down and you’ll find a metabox/widget titled “Custom Fields”. In this metabox/widget, look for the custom field you want to use and use the name that you’ll find in field “Name”.
[codespacing_progress_map list_ext=”yes” list_layout=”horizontal-left”] I used this shortcut for the page.
Website you can take a look. It shows all the postings i have instead of showing the way the demo is.
Please send me email so i can email you the link

Sorting by “Title A to Z” doesn´t work. The sorting is enabled.
Is there another preference to check? Please check my mail and the url, that I send you for further details.
Hi,
You need to check the option “Options Bar Settings => Options Bar Visibility => Show”
Thank you
So it´s not possible to sort the posts without showing the options bar? Thanks
Hi,
Yes, the option bar is the area that contains the elements, “Sort”, “Options View” and “Posts Count”. If you hide the option bar, you’ll hide the above elements
Thank you

Hi, could you please upload an screenshot showing what do you did to have in your demo live website all those categories and filters? And another question, when you create a new post and you add the coordinates for it, how do you specify if is related to one filter or another?
Hi,
I have no screenshots but you can find everthing you need to build your filter search at http://codespacing.com/wordpress-plugins/progress-map-list-and-filter-wordpress-plugin/progress-map-list-and-filter-documentation/tutorials-and-how-to/
when you create a new post and you add the coordinates for it, how do you specify if is related to one filter or another?
- Can you please provide more details about this question
Thank you
Regarding my first question, I will send you an email showing what I did and what I got, ok? Hope you can help me to display the filters…
The second question is about how can I specify if a new entry on the map is related to one of my filters (for example, hotels, apartments, hostels, etc).
Hi,
Have you sent the email? I can’t find an email of yours.
About your second question. While creating a new post, assign it to a category (for example, hotels), then, in the filter when you select that category, the related post(s) will be displayed.
Thank you
Hi! I’d love to have a full-text search available as part of the filter. Is something like this available or planned to be included?
Hi,
The full-text search in not available with the filter. I really don’t know if i’ll add it in the future or not.
Thank you
hi I have a question about: Support for Progress Map, List & Filter – WordPress Plugin
it would be possible to search by author / user and not with the post?
Hi,
Unfortunately, this plugin works only with posts and custom posts.
Thank you
Hey,
I am having trouble with the loading spinner/filter function.
Very often if I select an filteroption and filter the list the “Loading..” text and overaly is NOT disappearing, although in the background I can see that the list already is showing the correct result ans thus has loaded completly.
If this happens I can do nothing than to reload the page, because the filters and the list are not selectable anymore .
Mostly it happens if I select an option and filter the list and then select another option and filter. But actually it happens most of the time I try to use the filter
I am having really big troubles with your plugin. Not only this problem with the filters, but also the filter function is not working at all in tabs(if 2 maps are on the same page), as I wrote in my last comment and also I am having trouble with editing the latitude and longitude fields, because I always need to deactivate ur plugin to do so ( I wrote a comment about that on your main plugins comment page).
Please fix those problems, because I can not see how we can use your plugin if we are facing problems like those.
Regards

Hi,
The shortcode seems correct. Please use this shortcode instead:
[codespacing_progress_map list_ext="yes" post_type="post" tax_query="category{6|IN}" tax_query_filed="id"]
Note: Make sure to paste the shortcode using the Text Editor of your post not the Visual Editor!
Thank you
Hello, I’m interested in buying your “Progress Map WordPress Plugin” and this addon. Do you have a admin panel demo? I need to check if does what I need. Thank you very much!
Hi,
No there’s no admin demo. What do you want to know about the admin and i’ll tell you?
Thank you
Thank you for your answer. I would like to see how see how it looks like in the backend, but at the end is a secondary thing. I need to redo a work made already with another plugin but since it’s got many limits, I need to accomplish my client and make definitely the choice of change it. Of course I need to evaluate the workload, because I will not get paid for redoing it. I have some important questions: 1) can I import a db, like csv or excel because I have nearly a thousand of locations divided in many nations: 2) In a map can I divide markers in categories and subcategories (as example can a nation can be divided in regions and furthermore in provinces). 3) Is there a post type I can use for my map? Now I have 25 nations among my wordpress pages, it is just very annoying. 4) I need clustering since I have to many markers. 5) I need to categorize markers also for 3 type of product sold, I guess this can ben done with this addon. In this link you can see what I’m supposed to redo and improve: http://www.piscinelaghetto.com/en/dealers/italy/ Thank you for any help.
Hi,
Sorry for the delay.
1) can I import a db, like csv or excel because I have nearly a thousand of locations divided in many nations
- The plugin doesn’t provide an import tool. As it works with already created (custom) post types, you can use the Import tool of wordpress to get your locations, then, in the plugin settings, you’ll be able to connect the plugin with your locations (saved as custom post type).
2) In a map can I divide markers in categories and subcategories (as example can a nation can be divided in regions and furthermore in provinces).
- Yes you can specify markers by categories.
3) Is there a post type I can use for my map? Now I have 25 nations among my wordpress pages, it is just very annoying.
- The plugin doesn’t provide a custom post type. It’s designed to be used with already created post types
4) I need clustering since I have to many markers.
- Yes clustering is available
5) I need to categorize markers also for 3 type of product sold, I guess this can ben done with this addon.
- The add-on “List & filter” will alow you to filter your locations based on multiple categories and/or custom fields.
Thank you
Thank you for your answer! The first point is still a bit confusing. At the moment on my site my locations are listed inside the plugin used. A group of locations can belong to a map and to view the map I need to insert the shortcode in a page or in a post. I see then hard as you describe using the import tool since my plugin has specific fields for single location and yours surely have different ones. A single location is made of many fields (title, address, coordinates, pointer ecc). I don’t think is possible, or maybe it s possibile operating a database level, making a conversion of fields, but it’s no my job, so I’m just supposing, and i guess is tricky. What do you think?
Hi,
I think i missed understood your question. In this case (using different fields for the coordinates), our plugin provides an option to use your already available custom fields. There’s an option to do this in the plugin settings. The only thing that you should know is that our plugin requires two fields, one for the “latitude” and the other one for the “longitude”. It won’t work if you save the coordinates (latitude and longitude) in the same field.
In your case, you should have the same structure if you want to use our plugin with your locations, otherwise, this option won’t work for you.
Thank you
Anyway, even though I had 2 fields for my coordinates, I won’t solve the problem to convert all the other data. I guess the only solution is inserting my 1 thousand locations one by one. A huge waste of time
Thank you anyway for your support.
List & Filter seems to default to a Z-A listing. I’d like it to default to A-Z. Where is the setting for this? Thank you.
Hi,
The items order must be adjusted from the plugin “Progress Map”.
Make sure to select the following options, then, try again:
1. “Progress Map =>Query settings => Orderby parameters => Order by title”
2. “Progress Map =>Query settings => Order parameters => Ascending order from lowest to highest values”
Thank you
Hi! I have two post types ‘properties’ and ‘accomodation’ and want to use plugin on two separate pages for filtering this two types. I’ve red faq and documentation, but I still can’t get a straight answer. Can I do that, and can I have different search criteria for each post type? Thank you in advance.
Hi,
Yes you can do that. You can have different maps that populates different post types. Please find more info at http://codespacing.com/wordpress-plugins/progress-map-wordpress-plugin/progress-map-documentation/tutorials-and-how-to/connect-the-plugin-with-multiple-custom-post-types-then-display-posts-of-each-post-type-in-different-maps/
To use specific search criteria in each of your maps, you’ll have to use shortcode attributes “faceted_search”, “faceted_search_tax_slug” and “faceted_search_tax_terms”. Please find more details about this attributes at http://codespacing.com/wordpress-plugins/progress-map-wordpress-plugin/progress-map-documentation/shortcodes/shortcode-codespacing_progress_map/
Thank you
We have the progress map plugin, would this allow us to display pages & posts within a radius around the user with a set tag as a list or grid?
Hi,
You can’t use this map to load locations within a radius around the user but a user can geolocate their place to see all locations (posts and/or pages) within a radius around their position.
Thank you
Hi Codespacing,
sry, it is me again.
First problem: The filter functions are not functional in tabs. I added two maps to a page, each with a unique map_id. The maps are showing correctly but the filters are not. The filter functions are not clickable and although the list contains items beloning to the current map the filter options of the second map have the count numbers “Industrie(12)” e.g. of the first map. http://dfki.ladenthin.net/maptabtest/ (I did send you the password in my last email)
Second Problem: I added a category to the shortcode of the map in the second tab: tax_query=”category{56|IN} but the list is still containing posts of other categories. The first item of the list belongs to a different category.
Please help
Cheers
Lisa
Hi,
First problem:
Your website indicates an error in the file “plugins/ultimate-landing-page-and-coming-soon-page/template/template1Script.js”. You need to fix this error because i think it’s what blocks the filter.
Please remove the tag </script> at the end of that file.
Second Problem:
There was a comma between the attributes “tax_query” and “map_id”. Check the shortcode below. Now it’s fixed.
[codespacing_progress_map list_ext="yes" post_type="post" tax_query="category{56|IN}", map_id="expertise"]
Thank you
I removed the </script> tag, which was placed in the script in error BUT I’m sorry it is still not working. Sorry for the ”,” problem, you are right, that was the problem regarding the categories.
Problem 1 “The filter functions are not functional in tabs” is still existing, please help
Hi,
I’ll check if there’s anything to fix in the plugin and i’ll send the fixes ASAP.
Thank you
Hi codespacing, is there any update on the tab filter issue? We are on a tight shedule here.:/ Thank you.
Hi,
Not yet but it’ll be available soon.
Thank you for your patience
Hello
How can I show oldest first places or companies automatically?
Hi,
You can do this by selecting the options:
1 – “Progress Map => Query settings => Orderby parameters => Order by date”
2 – “Progress Map => Query settings => Order parameters => Ascending order from lowest to highest values”
Thank you
Hi,
A few questions/issues:
1)We’re also having the same issue as the prior user comment. Everything is working except for the filter. When we click on the “Filter” button, nothing happens. Is there something that we’re not doing correctly? We have the shortcode in place: [codespacing_progress_map center_at=”5409” list_ext=”yes” list_filter=”yes”].
2) In addition, are we able to pre-select a filter option that the map will pre-load to?
3) Lastly, any way to remove the dashes in between the pagination?
Please let us know as soon as you can!
Hi,
We’re also having the same issue as the prior user comment. Everything is working except for the filter.
- Please make sure to upgrade the plugin to the latest version 2.8.4.
Note: The version 2.8.4 requires that your update the plugin from your plugins page not using FTP.
In addition, are we able to pre-select a filter option that the map will pre-load to?
- No there’s no option to pre-select data.
Lastly, any way to remove the dashes in between the pagination?
- You can do that by selecting the option “Pagination settings => Show all pages => True”
Thank you
Hi there,
Thanks for the quick reply! The update worked! Glad that was a simple and easy fix.
For pagination, I realize that these dashes don’t even show up in your demo. Is there a way to fix that? In our layout, there is a black dash that appears between each page number. However, in your demo, the page numbers are flushed against each other. We do not want to set the pagination settings to show all pages since we have over 47 pages. Please let us know when you get the chance!
Thanks so much!
Hi,
I think the problem is due to your theme’s CSS. Please send me the link of your map to check this.
Thank you
Hi, sorry for the delay here. We tried adding more posts to continue testing this plug-in. We’re running into a bit more difficulties in having this plug-in display properly. Please see this page: http://www.culturalchromatics.com/travel-map/manhattan-city-guide/.
1. Initially, only one post seems to load in the beginning without any filters on. We added the following shortcode: [codespacing_progress_map center_at=”6024” list_ext=”yes” optional_latlng=”false”] to exclude any posts without a location attached to it.
2. When we do filter by the specific city (e.g. Manhattan) in our filter settings, it generates three normal sized posts, but the rest are misaligned and do not show properly.
3. Some filter options show up as duplicate values. I’ve double checked to see if they vary with a space appearing in the value for each post, but this is not the case.
4. The pagination appears with dashes in between instead of being flushed together.
Please let us know how we can resolve these issues. Thanks so much in advance!
Hi,
Initially, only one post seems to load in the beginning without any filters on…
- I think the problem is that the content of your posts contains HTML tags. These tags breaks the layout the plugin. To make sure of this, edit the post “JAPANESE AT IYASARE IN BERKELEY” and add a breif description of this post in the Excerpt. Save your changes, then, reload the page http://www.culturalchromatics.com/travel-map/manhattan-city-guide/
If new post(s) appears in the first page, make sure to edit your posts by adding an excerpt as a description.
When we do filter by the specific city (e.g. Manhattan) in our filter settings, it generates three normal sized posts, but the rest are misaligned and do not show properly.
- The solution is the same in the first question.
Some filter options show up as duplicate values. I’ve double checked to see if they vary with a space appearing in the value for each post, but this is not the case.
- You mean the values in the price? The price, is it a custom field or a custom taxonomy?
The pagination appears with dashes in between instead of being flushed together
- This is a CSS conflict. Please add the following CSS code in the field “Progress Map => Troubleshooting & configs => Custom CSS”, then, try again:
div[class^=cspml_pagination_] ul li:before{content:none !important;}
Thank you
Hi there,
We tried adding a description in the Excerpt for the “JAPANESE AT IYASARE IN BERKELEY” post as well as some additional posts for good measure, but it still did not resolve the issue. Any additional ideas on how we can troubleshoot the plug-in?
For the price, duplicate values of ”$” and ”$$” show up in the filter settings. In addition, there are a few posts that have the price set to ”$$$” and do not show up in the filter option. The price is a custom field.
The Custom CSS code worked perfectly.
Please let us know how we can resolve the other issues. Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Please send me the login of your website to plugin.progressmap@gmail.com to check this closely.

Hi, we emailed a couple of days ago. Are there any updates?
Hi,
Sorry for the delay. Just emailed you.
Thank you
Hi! I’ve purchased both ‘progress map’ and ‘list and filter’ and everything looks and works great except that I’m not managing to get the filter to work. I’ve been spending quite some time on it now, following the ‘how to’ on your websites. Could you please assist me? It’s an urgent project. Thanks in advance
Hi,
Please describe your problem with the filter and send me the link of your page to check this.
Thank you
Hi, thanks for your answer.
Here’s the issue:
I follow all the steps of your tuto but none of the filters come displayed on the front end.
Also, since my last message I came across other issues:
- When I click on the marker icon/button on posts listed under the map, it takes me to a general view of the map, not to the specific post locations.
-The geo search fonction on the map doesn’t seem to work properly in my case, maybe because I work with a small area. Entering a correct adress do not give any result or shows a perimeter around the target location way too large, even when the perimeter has been set to a low value
I cannot share the link to the page with you because the website cannot be seen yet. I can give you some credentials to access the dashboard if you want. I’ve e-mailed you yesterday, I can send you the details there tomorrow if you e-mail me back.
Thanks again!
Hi,
Sent you an email.
Thank you
Hi, writing in here, just in case you didn’t see my e-mail. I’ve gotten back to you. Speak there
Hi,
Just emailed you.
Thank you
Just purchased your addon, and i want to display my map whith one category of post. I try this shortcode : [codespacing_progress_map post_type=”post” tax_query=”category{6|IN}” list_ext=”yes”] but it doesn’t work… I need to create four maps with filters, that correspond to four category of posts. thanks for help..
Hi,
The shortcode seems correct. Please make sure to paste the shortcode in the Text Editor of your page not the Visual Editor. Please use the following shortcode instead:
[codespacing_progress_map post_type="post" tax_query="category{6|IN}" tax_query_field="id" list_ext="yes"]
Thank you
Thanks it’s work fine ! I’m discovering the addon and he looks very efficient..
But i have some troubles 1/ when i click on the pin logo in bottom corner of my thumbnails, it doesn’t show where is it in the map.. 2/ when i click filter button it doesn’t filter my post.. May i have do something wrong, i follow your “how to” but i have some difficulties with english language…
Vous pourriez m’envoyer une vidéo comme à jasdu52..
Merci pour votre aide.
http://insolite-guadeloupe-voyage.com/test/Hi,

I have another question, where i can translate the “loading” and “we could’nt find any results” ?
Hi,
This can be translated/localized using GetText.
https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/Thank you
Hi,
I create a cspml-fr_FR.mo and a cspml-fr_FR.po translation file with poedit, then I upload it in the language folder. But it does not seem to be taken into account, I don’t see the plugin translation on my website.
If you have any idea to solve it…
Thank you.
Hi,
To translate the plugin, create a new folder in “wp-content/languages” and name it “cs-progress-map”. Inside “cs-progress-map”, paste your .mo & .po files.
The plugin will detect the language of your website and display the appropriate language.
Thank you
Hello Codespacing-team, I encountered another problem with the filter plugin/addon. The map shows 3 markers, each of the markers has a unique location and title and it says “3 Results” below the map, but in the list there are only 2 items. Cheers Lisa
Hi,
Will answer you in your email.
Thank you
thanks
Hello, I just bought your 3 plugins: - Progress Map, List & Filter – WordPress Plugin - Progress Map Wordpress Plugin - Progress Map Wordpress Plugin
I have to put up a map of my city for finding parking spaces, places and buildings. But the problem is that I am French, and I do not understand how to handle these plugins. The documentation .txt getStarted not helped me quite well. Do you have any documentation or video (even in English, detailing more precisely how to add a marker, link to an article etc …) I have great difficulty understanding as Iam a student French.
Have a good day Thank you for your help BR Jason
Hi,
Please contact me at plugin.progressmap@gmail.com and i’ll send a video. Vous pouvez parler français
