I didn’t realize at first that there was so much ajax involved. My usage requires frequent page reloads to drive impressions for rotating banner ads. If figured I’d just hook the ad server code into the top and sidebar banner. However, with so much ajax, there aren’t that many page reloads and those areas are actually not all that active. An example of a good thing turning out to be a bad thing.

Still a good script, but not if you’re wanting to drive banner ads in addition to classifieds. At least, not without doing a fair amount of recoding.

Hi, I’ve also coded marketing tracking script as well as url rotator. I am answering your question to avoid confusion for others who might think that they won’t be able to use banners. Usually the banner ads. are rotated when you visit a page and so if use a banner rotator script, different visitors will see different ads. and not the same ad. What you are probably trying to do is load different ads every time a visitor hit a search button. But this is the main feature of this script i.e. to keep you on the same page without doing page reloads (in map & text mode).

Correct. I need ads to reload whenever a search is performed. If a person doesn’t need that capability, then there’s no problem.

You can set default mode as map mode in admin options and the hide/remove the ‘Search’ button in reSearchForm.php or by using some css such as the following at the bottom of style.css:

ok, FYI very important here….. i found several issues that will blow up the system big time (minor overlooks) and cause errors bigtime in your code, and you should fix these. I double checked the original source downloaded as a just in case i was seeing it correct. the two biggest are in the functions.inc.php file and in the safelyExecute() function. Line 931 where the conditional test is if($type == 21) ... the subsequent function if true is showsubcatprice(), which doesn’t exist in the code at all. If it were called it would blow up. The second is that your try catch in the same function has a typo in the catch which will cause an error 500 also if not fixed. You have on line 941:

}catch(Exeption $e){ print “Function Type – $type : ”.$e; }

in which Exception is spelt incorrectly. This is a call to an unknown class and again, will also blow up. I’m checking in to the other issue as well, but thought you’d want to know. I changed that line to:
