Hello, in such case you should either ask your theme author to update VC on their side and push it to you or consider purchasing direct license for VC to unlock direct update option.

Hello, how to keep for example button around the middle of the screen without using a padding from top, so it would be responsive on iphone as well? While using padding on element/button on iphone it drops under the background image by set number of padding. thanks a lot.

Hello, when I add all the links in image gallery from external link. The images show up in the editor just fine, but on the front end page the place holder image is only showing up and not the actual images I added. I’m I doing something wrong?

Hi I have VC as part of the Rhythm theme. I was wondering if there are any better options for defining a child/parent for nested in a vc_map than only|except because I just want to define two items can you comma separate only i.e. only => [‘item1’,’item2’]
because otherwise the ‘except’ list would be massive

I also have to agree with TwoBrothers and qamarramzan – animation on grid is my biggest issue with the site I’m working on – clients just want the info there upon page load and not have a frankly unnecessary animation . Please let us know where in the code we can tweak this – if there’s a fix before it’s looked by the authors, I’m sure we’d all be grateful.
Hello, we have animation case scheduled for our next release – there have been requests on this one and soon enough we will offer option for it. As for grid in generation – this is on our radar as well.

Hi guys, first of all, big fan of WPBakery.
I am using Construction theme by WPCharming. According to my plugins, it’s using VisualComposer 4.74, (even though your latest version says only 4.10.) The version that it’s running seems to be outdated. E.g. check out how editing a row looks: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/8kslclvdf3yiumd/Screenshot%202016-02-17%2016.54.42.png?dl=0 Other themes have had a more visual way to set padding, margin, border. It also doesn’t offer the ability to use the “cover” attribute for background-position.
Perhaps you immediately understand why this is happening. But that’s not really what my question is about, because I know you don’t support bundled files.
Can I buy VisualComposer on CodeCanyon and replace the existing VC plugin directory? Should that work seamlessly with my theme?
I presume that my theme is bundled with an older version of VC, but it’s really slowing me down. I have a huge custom site that I want to build in VC, and I want the latest and greatest from WPBakery.

Hello, yes you can do so, but I would also recommend on talk with theme author on how to properly remove inbuit version so you can install standalone without affecting VC or theme functionality.

I agree with what TwoBrothers says about the grid and admin-ajax. Not only does it stop working after a day when used with a cache plugin, but it is also way too slow. You really need to rethink how it works. Otherwise you have a great builder and I do love the way you can easily create your own style grids. But the sluggish loading time via admin-ajax is nuts.

Hi there! I really love your plugin!
I want use WPML to translate the website.
I tried to estimate the words on one sample page: WPML tells me there are 436 words. If I copy and past all text from the frontpage into microsoft word there are only 236 words. I think WPML counts all Visual Composer shortcode tags… Is it somehow possible to only count the real text!?
How I can count the words that a translation service can estimate the costs?

I posted this in response to the ongoing problem with Bootstrap and VC’s inability to properly layout columns in small mode i believe it is. It defaults to the main column width. This makes no sense at all, in-fact, it utterly destroys all hopes of having a perfect responsive layout. Display tables is much more flexible than flex box. PLEASE consider testing out display table. I’m often finding myself overriding VC elements with display:table to fix things on about every page.

Thank you very much. I hope something is done very soon about the bootstrap responsive bug. Clients who use VC are relying on it to perform for responsive layouts, but everything goes haywire when the browser width is at small. Currently we have to write custom CSS for every single page that uses VC just so responsive layouts work properly.

Thanks, but can you get more precise? I can find a bunch of .po and .mo files. But non of them contain vc in their filename, or is in a vc folder.
in the default.po i edited line 8505 msgid “All”. But it didn’t change anything. Is this the file that translate the backend? Because the default.mo doesn’t really contain anything.
Hello, I bought this plugin few months ago thinking it would help solve some problems I have on my website, most especially the ecommerce aspect.
I created a 2 column grid woocommerce products, but the result is what you can see here: http://fashionlounge.com.ng/shop-paradise/ which is not what I wanted at all.

Is it that VC isn’t compatible with Braxton theme or I wasn’t doing something rightly?

So it seems that if I use any grid elements I can forget about SEO and speed. because the admin-ajax will need at least 5 seconds or so to return content. I see many users like “energia99” have posed very real questions of concern and all you say is we’re looking into it. I now need to find another page builder and build an entire frontpage for a client again because of a 7 second load time where 5 of those are 5 post requests from the gridelements on the page.
Hello, there should not be 7 seconds load time – it could be related to very rich content inside grid item like huge images. I would suggest opening support ticket at support.wpbakery.com so we can investigate this case.
