I have just bought this plugin and I am trying to use the add_filter hooks given in the documentation. I have tried them in the theme’s functions.php where they should belong but they dont work. I see you suggest editing the plugin itself which is a very odd thing as the changes would be lost when the plugin is updated and completely against Wordpress best practice. Can you suggest how to get these hooks to work in the right place. Thank you

I want to list all thumbnails of marketing contents (video, ebook, etc) on one page, tag each accordingly, and filter them using by tagged content type. However, as they are NOT portfolio, so each thumbnail will just be a link to a different page.
As we discussed, can you please modify the code so that I can set URL in Admin and when I click thumb (or title) ,and I will be taken to this URL. Also, can you make the Item excerpt to be HTML as I would need to include some links inside the description?

My doubt is very similar to what Marco, another reader just posted. I had setup my viewport with inside placement using normal grid layout. Once you open it, the viewport pushes down the other windows. This behaviour hides the below content completely. Then when you close the viewport, those windows are disappeared.

I have a display problem when the palcemente is inside. As can be seen in the demo content it is opened in the middle but the second row of items disappears. The items are: Social Media, Web Marketing etc … When it is before or inside the layout is fully functional. You can help me?

Hm.. In “inside” placement colio viewport is placed into <BODY> element and is positioned absolutely. And it looks like that Colio can’t get proper vertical position of UL list relative to the document. The problem in in fact is that jQuery.offset() function returns wrong result for UL list with portfolio items. And one of the reasons is that some elements before UL list are not cleared properly and instead or real height they have 0 height.

You should increase z-index for .colio {} to something greater than 100.
You can do this in wp-content/plugins/colio/colio.css for instance.

also I’d like to know if it is possible to change the used name e.g. from portfolio to stuff, so my wordpress shows me DOMAIN.TLD/stuff/ instead of DOMAIN.TLD/portfolio ?

1. What do you mean under “specific content”? 2. Just create a page called “stuff” and then add [colio] shortcode in Editor to display portfolio
Hi nice plugin, just one question, so far ;-)) on the demo the change of filters is with a smooth Transition, clicking on the “X” and bring all items is also with a smooth transition.
May be sound as foolish but how do i get this? try a lot of settings without result…
Thanks! Please try to go to Colio -> Settings and save them again. And make sure that “Transition Duration” option is 400 (ms).
In pagination setting condition, Thumanil is mixed next page’s things after click tag filter button or page button.

1. Yes, you can change thumbnail size in portfolio grid by modifying arguments to add_image_size() in colio.php file
2. Do you mean slider or thumbnails with lightbox?

Ok. For thumbs you can adjust their sizes in wp-content/plugins/colio/colio.php in line
// extra photos thumbs
add_image_size('colio-extra-thumb', 150, 150, true);in case of Flexslider, it uses original image from Media Library and expands to max width of sidebar in viewport.

1. update permalinks in settings -> permalinks 2. if previous step won’t help recreate portfolio “11”

1. To change order in which filters appear you should open wp-content/plugins/colio/colio.php and in colio_get_filters() function find this line
$tag_slugs = array_unique($tag_slugs); sort($tag_slugs);then sort array the way you want.
2. To replace X with any other word in colio_get_filtrers() find next line
$list_items = '<li><a href="#" class="colio-disable-filters" title="Show all">× ;</a></li>';
and replace “× ;” with what you need.

Thanks for question! In Admin when you add social links for items you can type any URL you want – social or share doesn’t matter. And to replace icons themselves you can go to wp-content/plugins/images/social/ folder and replace PNG files.
