Every since the last update, all the layouts on the site are stripped of default padding and margins.
This is troublesome because the creations of these pages with the defaults now means I have to go into the pages and go through every row and element to make adjustments.
And for any other clients that have your plugin in their sites, this will be a problem as well.
Please advise.
Hello, we have adjusted paddings and margins to be added properly in version 4.9 which gives more meaningful controls. It is recommended to align with the new standards as they allow easier modification of margins and paddings of VC elements.

Hello, this part looks like defined in a theme. You should look into theme options if there are controls to disable it. Also you can look into CSS and then refer to Custom CSS (even through VC) to remove it.

I just updated to the latest version and any elements I try to add or edit don’t show the first screen until I click on another tab, and then go to the main tab. Then, clicking save does nothing, you have to X out of it and changes not saved.

Hi guys. Is there a way of creating a shortcode like the “row” one that you have defined, that would accept as content, other shortcodes? Exactly like Row? Eg: I need to create a <section class=”whatever”></section> area for a custom job for a client.

Hi, I’ve problem with grid builder excerpt wich add automatically “Read more”, I can’t translate it. I tried to add button, the translation is ok but the “read more” stay in the excerpt. Please can you give me the way to do that. Hello, first please check under Role Manager if you have Media Grid enabled. As for Grid Builder – it should be available in WP Admin – Visual Composer – Grid Builder. If this is not there it could be so that theme author disabled this option from theme files (in such case it is recommended to contact theme author). Hi – I just updated VC to the latest version. Before it took a lot of work to set all the margins and paddings like I want them to be and now I have a lot of “space” I can`t control anymore. And do I have to set it up again on all of my pages and for all of my posts? Thanks, Sabine
And it seems that the SAVE CHANGES button of the elements doesn’t work…
Hello, we have adjusted margins so there is no more need to set such things as negative margins and so on – now VC margins are applied in a proper way. There is issue with loading of pages with lot of shortcodes and lot of attributes. Javascript in Firefox reports: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.
Similar message appears in Chrome.
Can you please take a look at it?

Hello, if you have tons of conflict it will slow down page with or without VC as lot of resources are necessary in any case. First make sure to update VC up to the 4.9 as we have worked on performance there a lot. Try to optimize images to be smaller size. Also check if caching plugin improves loading speed. If none of this helps – open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com so our support team can look into this and see what can be done there.

Hi there, I just installed the new visual composer. Hoping the padding settings would make the columns sit flush together when setting it to 0px gap. Still doesn’t seem the work? Still has the 22px gap padding on it?

Hello, thanks for kind words. As for your question – the one you point to is simple parallax – just go into row parameter window and select parallax option Simple and add image. I will also look into providing with tutorial within few days with narration on parallax example like this – make sure to check our Video Academy at the end of the week and I think it will be there (also will post in on our facebook page).

Hello, yes, you can save page 1 as a template and then add this template to page 2. But if you wish to make changes in page 1 and they appear in page 2 then I would suggest you look into Templatera addon which extends templating option of VC.

I am not quite sure I explained what I mean. I don’t want to save page 1 as template. I am using page 1 with content built with ACF and I only want to display this content (it’s an animation) in another separate page inside a column inside visual composer. is there a way to maybe use PHP code to display page content 1 inside VC? Thanks!

Hi there,
I have Visual Composer with The7 theme.
In the Grid Builder I have added a few ACF elements. All the text elements display fine, but the image fields from ACF wont display. If in ACF I set the return value to ‘image URL’ or ‘image ID’, then this displays in the grid, but image object wont display.
Please help!
