Hello,
I updated VC from v4.7.4 to 4.8.1 and found that some Single image VC content type has got left and right padding of 40px after update! That means all 98px wide list image elements, logos in a list was shown in 18px width, which basically crashed the look of that page! Top and bottom padding also affected but I hope this 2 data will be enough to investigate th issue.
“Use custom design options” is checked in VC v4.7.4 settings.

Well, I don’t want to give permission to all what VPBakery asks for while connecting with Envato account.
In order to access support portal you will need to connect with your Envato login, there is no other way to connect to support to open ticket. From our side – we do keep all information safe and do not share it under any circumstances.

I don’t think it’s VPB’s business how much I have on my account or what other stuffs I bought on Envato. I finished the discussion from my side…
We do not receive any information about balance or any other items – login with Envato works same way as login with Facebook – it is using Envato API just to verify that user is registered and have license for Visual Composer. We store information what you share within support ticket like site link or access rights to site (not Envato) and as mentioned above we do not share them and keep them secure.

Hi is there a way to lock rows from being edited, so when the client logs in they can edit only the necessary rows with text without messing up the rows and columns? Also it would be awesome if you could hide particular rows on editors mode. That way they can’t change the full structure around and only edit what they can see? Any of this possible? thanks heaps.

Hello, you can lock row element as such for certain user group, but not specific row. But it should be enough in your case. Make sure you do not allow work with columns and rows under Role Manager for certain user group.

Hi,
I’ve VC in a theme I’ve bought. I’d like use it on pages with sidebar but seems VC doesn’t respect the page layout..so the page content overlaps the sidebar.
How can I do?..responsive extra classes don’t work..and custom row layout is not a solution..

Hello, VC uses content area defined by theme, maybe those parts intersect with sidebar – as received within a theme I would suggest contacting theme author directly to get more information on this one as he integrated VC in his theme and should know about issue with sidebar.

Hi, I’m struggling to edit rows , I have read few messages here saying that for have a full width row u need to change the padding or add empty space , it doesn’t work for me , the rows are stay boxed. I also followed few video tutorials how to add parallax and video background , but I cant make them work .

I believe the Yoast SEO update is doing something to break Visual Composure. When activated, you only see the VC shortcode and the blue front end back end buttons are gone, when deactivated it works fine.

Hello, in default VC there is no Advanced Button element, so it could be added to VC by your theme author – I would suggest consult with theme author on this one.

Hi, I have bought Visual Composer and have the following problem:
Pages which are built with visual composer page builder don’t show any text in the internal search of the website. See here:
https://der-nachhilfe-lehrer.de/?s=winkelsumme+dreieck&submit=SucheOne page shows text. It is built with the regular WP-editor.
The other page only shows no text, because it’s build with Visual Composer. And it only shows the headline because it’s entered in both Visual Composer and the normal WP-editor.
Please help.

Hello, right now there is no Post Category element in Grid Builder so you should look into kb.wpbakery.com on how to extend it with our API. Also we think on introducing such element ourselves – as you already mentioned – this is important.
As for category/archive pages – Visual Composer works with content area defined, in category/archive pages there is no content area defined.

Hello, right now you can control column behaviour on different devices to adapt it. For this, go into specific column and within param window you will see Responsiveness tab which allows such manipulations.

I am having issues with a site built using Visual Composer being incompatible in Internet Explorer 8 — site doesn’t work AT ALL. CSS breaks sitewide + there are multiple runtime errors. Is VC compatible with this browser?
Hello, Visual Composer does not support IE8 – also Microsoft has dropped support of IE8 and I believe even IE9 as well. Users with IE8 is less than 1% and having adaption for IE8 is not only time and resource consuming which does not pay of, but also does not allow using new technologies.

Dear Author. Great plug in.
I need some help with Custom Grid builder. I have a template that has a 3 columns per row. I need to have 2 blocks: 1×1 and one that is 2×1. I can then use those to build a multiple rows or blocks, with 3 column layout.
Block 1×1 is square and block 2×1 is rectangular.
In Grid builder, i have no problem creating 1×1 block, but when i create 2×1 block it i have problem. 2×1 block is higher.
I need block 2×1 to be same height as block 1×1, and stretch to two columns.
If i set block 1×1 height mode to 1:1, so block 2×1 should be 2:1 height mode right? But there is no option to enter 2:1 height mode.
Is there a way to create a custom proportions?

Hello, there was a free update available for everyone who got VC within a theme for 2 weeks, but this has already expired around a month ago. Now you will need to either ask your theme author to update VC on their side and push it to you or consider purchasing direct license to access direct update option.

Recently, Visual Composer seems to be running VERY slowly on my theme. On the backend, it takes 30-60 seconds for VC to load. And on my website, certain VC elements are also loading extremely slowly.
Is there any known cause of this? Thanks!
Just to clarify, Visual Composer has never been this slow. It normally runs relatively quickly.

why is this on Deprecated tab: Elements within this list are deprecated and are no longer supported in newer versions of Visual Composer.
I use all these elements on my posts is any problem later ???
Hello, all deprecated elements has been replaced with the new ones – available under Elements panel (if they are not there – check Role Manager in VC Settings if you have access to them). It is recommended to use new elements as old ones will be removed later on. New elements also have way more options and their overall quality is higher.

Hello, how do i disable animation on Grid? I have set it to single block and also tried setting background to featured image, yet it still has this tacky animation. It looks like a bug in the plugin rendering the Grid elements tool pretty useless.
