how to remove smooth scroll effect on visual composer
Hello, by default there is no such effect so maybe it is added to VC via theme – I would recommend asking your theme author if they extend it in any way.

Hi My website used a theme which had Visual Composer. The theme no longer exists in themeforest. The version of VC it uses is vulnerable and my site got hacked (I assume by this method). I installed the updated VC but this broke the theme.
So can anyone either let me know the security fix required to the old version (Im sure its a iine or two or code) or let me know if they are up to the job of updating a themes integration of VC (at a cost).

Hello, there is no just one line of code so you need to install update. The problems with update could be raised because of VC customization done at the theme side so it is better asking your theme author to look into this or you can consider access official support – support.wpbakery.com, but please take into account that you will require direct license key for VC to be purchased.

The theme called “Posh” was removed from Themeforest shortly after I’d set up the clients website. So I have no way of contacting the author.
So – is there not a function that I can replace inside visual composer?? VC looks well coded, I can’t believe that there are multiple holes, that cant be easily patched without upgrading..
I don’t particularly want to learn the quirks of coding visual composer, to redo the bits of the theme that break with the newer version – can you guide to VC developer? thanks!

Hello, yes – there are several places where code has been changed so there is no just one line or something, this is why it is necessary to update VC. In order to update VC directly you will need to purchase direct license for VC.

Hello, please look if your images are optimized, also maybe you have added tons of content – this can slow things down. Moreover you should look into some caching plugin. If none of this brings any results – open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com and share your site login credentials so we can look into this.

Hello, in terms of licensing we rely on Envato and currently they do not offer multiuse license so you will need separate license for each site where you want to use VC.

Hello , i have vc included in Blaszok theme , before in other versions of vc i could see layouts of all vc templets (add templete to post and pages ) now i can only see the links to each templete so actually i am not sure what i am adding . I have question about Grid Builder, when I add custom shortcode to Grid Builder i can’t return type of a variable ‘{{ post_data:ID }}’.

Hi! I’m trying to figure out how to make two columns side-by-side with eg. two pricing tables. It’s no problem having these two pricing tables side-by-side on the same line when I look at my page in desktop view. But when I switch to mobile they are beeing placed on top of each other so the users have to scroll. So my question is: How do I make two columns which is always side by side – even on mobile?
Hello, you should go into column settings where you have pricing tables and within Responsiveness tab you can set width of columns for certain type of devices.

Is there an online preview anywhere that shows you what each of the templates looks like in action? If not you really should build one as there is a ton of templates and it would be good to browse through them to see what they look like live.

Hello, you can create 4 columns by setting row/column layouts 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4. As for WP RSS widget in VC elements you can find default WP widgets as well, so just add those elements and you are good to go.

Hi, we have VC bundled with many themes we’ve purchased. I have asked some of the developers but they don’t know the answer and told me to come direct. How can we copy-paste (or export-import) the configuration of a Post Grid Element Template ? we’ve modified the item design, and want to use the same on a different site. But we have to completely start the Post Grid Element Template from nothing again. Thank you!
Hello, right now there is no such option, but this is already in our Backlog. Also you can extend capabilities of VC on your own via our API if you have coding skills. You can even release it as a separate addon as I am sure there are other people who would love to have this feature as well.

Hello, if received within a theme there is no option to update VC directly – direct updates are available only with direct license, same applies to access of official support. To unlock those features you should consider purchasing direct license for VC.

Hello, it seems this happens because of SEO plugin uses JS – our developers are working now to introduce full compatibility with Yoast in our next update. Please make sure to update VC once it comes out.
