hi, using the post isotope element, having a portfolio, in the query composer i have the choice to use it to show post, page or portfolio.. is it possible to have only a selection of portfolio categories? there is a categories selector but it’s limited to posts categories.. i’m trying to have two different portfolio pages, with filters which are different subcategories. thanks!
Hello, if your portfolio categories are implemented the same way as post categories then you need to specify using portfolio as source and within category search for portfolio categories.

Hello, in VC itself there is no such option so you will need to custom code it by using our API, described at kb.wpbakery.com or you can look into addons for such content element as scrollable text. List of 3rd party addons can be found at vc.wpbakery.com/addons

I am just following up on the below which you had replied to someone and it answers my question however, even though yes the front end is fine, the VC gets buggy and the other elements in the VC are not visible, if you can help me on this?
I just checked and it works perfect. I don’t see any asian characters. Here’s insight how it works: when you enter raw html markup in the content element, it’s encoded so it could be stored safely in the content field, then when it’s outputted on the front, it’s decoded back to what you have originally entered. For example, i have VC and i can add and adjust elements in the editor, however once i have added a raw HTMP or JAVA script, i can no longer use the editor. I can not add or adjust the editor after i have used the HTML or JAVA – however i need to use these features. Also it adds coding which is just a load of letters. The front end looks fine but you can no longer edit the backend.

Hello, we did not received any notices about compatibility issues with UserPro. As for our own Role Manager – it is possible to restrict access to elements, options, post types and editors.

Love the plugin, just wanted to know when I ship the extended license with a theme, do I have to give away the license key to the theme buyers or do I have to update visual coposer along with the theme with each theme update? And another thing, can I host the visual composer updates for my theme buyers to make things easier, I actually don’t want to update the theme very often since a lot of people make the changes inside the theme instead of child theme.

Hello, the license is only for you – for your theme users to update you will need to update VC on your side and then provide it within a theme update. Also it is not allowed to host VC according to licensing.

Honestly I am unable to follow your videos. Even a text overlay of what you are doing would have been helpful. I have only messed up my layout twice, and I had no way of going back but ended up redoing the entire page. It’s extremely frustrating. I am far better than I used to be with visual composer, but still offset, width in responsive is technical terms. I dont understand what it means “inherit from small” means. Below are my straight forward queries. Please see if you could help, and there may be other people who can benefit from this through search as responsive design is a key now a days.
1. I have 3 boxed columns for desktop. issue 1: When I shrink the window, 1st and 2nd column is centered, but third column is right aligned. But the content is actually centered in desktop.
issue2: When columns are stacked one under another, the gap is not equal between them. But in padding, I have set very equivalent pixels.
2. If it’s 3 boxed equal column in desktop, when I go to a particular column and responsive design, what are those column means? If I set 1/12 column for ipad, does that mean it will be a one column in full row? Lets say i want 2 column in ipad horizontal mode, what do i set and how do i move content to it?
for some reason I dont have a front end editor available. Only classic mode and backend editor.

When I turned on debug, I saw the following message at the location where the content should be displayed:

when trying to delete an element, an alert comes up to ask you to confirm. in this alert there is a tick-box to prevent the window from opening more dialogue boxes. if this is ticked, in some themes, the ability to delete on visual composer is completely gone afterwards.
the solution to this is to log out of your admin account, restart the browser and log back in. this solves the problem. please tell the user: faithfulvj. as he/she asked this question.

Hi. Using your plugin v. 4.8.0.1 in bundle with Porto theme, but when updating the Yoast SEO plugin it conflicts with yours (after having deactivated/reactivated all plugins). I have problem with widget Tab on mobile when I click second, thrid or fourth tab then scroll to the down of page or to the half on tabbed content not to the begining of choosen Tab. First I think maybe is the plugin conflict but I’ve done the test. I add plugin js_composer to the new instalation Wordpress 4.3.1 and theme Twenty Fifteen. I add Tab widget create four tabs and add a lot of text (it’s important) and happens out as I described above. In my website I use maestro theme and happens the same. Sombody can check this on your site?
