hi, I have few presales questions. 1.) when we run a speedtest on gtmetrix, it says “Looks like you are running WordPress”, so after installing this plugin will gtmetrix stop showing this?
2.) does this plugin hide the fact that we are using wordpress on whichthemeis that or such similar websites?
3.) when we press F12 in google chrome we can see some code and different folders and plugins in wp-content folder, so does this plugin hide all that information? I mean information about theme, plugins, FTP folders etc.
4.) If there is any other website/tool which does such job (of detecting wordpress) does this plugin hide wordpress from such websites/tools too?
1) Yes, HMWP will hide the fact that you are using wordpress. It also hides the theme and plugins that you are using.
2) Yes, the detectors like whatwpthemeisthat.com, wpthemedetector.com, isitwp.com, etc can’t detect wordress and theme being used

How to configure this plugin to activate login and register, without showin wp-login?
Hi, please follow these steps:
- goto HMWP Start Tab, select “Medium Privacy – More Compatibility” scheme and save the settings - goto Permalink & URLs tab and set “rename plugins” option to “all plugins”
Note: Assuming that it’s WP single site and Apache server. Your site’s htaccess file should be writeable.
Now, the new login url will be www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?hide_my_wp=1234
You can change default secret code “hide_my_wp=1234” from HMWP settings. But if you need to change wp-login.php too then you can use free plugin like Theme my login.
In this case, we again shows wp_login.php to users. “Theme my login” helps rename that file without crush?
Yes, theme my login can be used to change login path all together to something like www.yourdomain.com/login/

Fixed this by changing Compress Page to Simple Minify instead of Safe Minify.

I’m having 2 issues with Hide My WP (which for the rest is working perfect, and doing exactly what i wanted).
1. It keeps redirecting me to a 404 when my theme (Wootique) want to load a js script. I tried adjusting the setting for loading js scripts, but no luck so far.
2. Woocommerce product pages also redirect to a 404 page.
I’m running medium settings, with a adjustment on the wp-admin folder. Could you help me solve those 2 issues, i’m stuck for a while. Thanks in advance,

Hi, I have one license code which I want to apply to a new URL, but when I try to access support with that code Codecanyon says “Sorry, but that item purchase code has already been registered with another account. Please login to that account to continue, or create a new account with another purchase code.” I don’t have another account so I’m confused how to make my request (to apply the purchase code to the new URL). Hi, first of all backup your current HMWP settings by clicking on “export current settings” button and saving it to text file.
Now, update th[e plugin from your site’s Dashboard >> Updates
You can also follow this:
- go to Plugins page in admin panel and deactivate and delete the plugin
- download latest version of HMWP and upload it
- activate the plugin and import the previous settings
What cache plugin would you suggest to use with this plugin?

Hi, you can opt for cache plugins like WP super cache, W3 total cache, etc.
If it’s a separate wordpress installation, then regardless of the domain, you’ll need separate license of HMWP
this plugin is fully supported with all wordpress theme special enfold. one of my friend told me that this plugin is not supported with enfold, after activating this plugin formatting of webdesign is lost.

Hi, I was wondering the following:
1) I am trying to hide the theme name that I am using from wordpress detectors as such—> http://whatwpthemeisthat.com/ and hide that my site is using wordpress all together, would this plugin do as such
2) The site that I want to implement this on, is a real estate site where Agents log into the site to post their properties. This theme contains many .php files and was wondering if it will mess up the logins etc.
I guess its hard to tell since every theme is different.

1) Yes, HMWP plugin will hide theme, plugins and wordpress from the detectors like whatwpthemeisthat.com, wpthemedetector.com, etc.
2) It’ll not mess up the logins and php files or any other files. HMWP doesn’t physically change the file paths, it makes use of rewrite rules to mask the paths.

Hi, you can’t encrypt the page source with HMWP. You can only rename/mask default WP paths.

Hi, goto /wp-content/plugins/ deirectory (using FTP) and rename “hide_my_wp” plugin folder. Now login with /wp-admin; rename back hide_my_wp plugin folder; check your HMWP settings for the secret code.
After activating this plugin on medium settings, my image sliders no longer work… images do not appear. I tried deactivating and then deleting the plugin too but it’s still a problem. Yes, it was the plugin that did this as it was working fine minutes before activating it.

Yes, I’ve already done this and still waiting for a reply. If it’s not fixed by early Wednesday, I’m going to have to delete the site and upload a previous version which means losing hours of work…. so it’s urgent.
