VC came as part of the theme I purchased. My question: on the Image Carousel, I’m needing to change the color of the Next/Previous arrows and Pagination control to white. And if possible I need to make the larger. Can you tell me how to do that? Thanks in advance! VC is awesome by the way!

You can achieve that with a bit of custom css, please contact your theme provider. Usually they help with such questions.

Sorry, but I have to ask for any help or direction you can give with this. The theme author as been completely non-responsive when I’ve asked for help with this. Here’s my website, and you’ll see the tiny dark left/right arrows and pagination dots on the slide. I’m needing to make them white/opaque. Any support you can offer would be very appreciated!!

Great plugin! One quick question about an issue we are having though… when we add a video background to a row, the video plays on front end in Firefox, but will not play in Chrome. I might be using an older version of the plugin, as this time it was packaged in the theme… but afraid of upgrading as the theme dev may have modified slightly to fit with their theme? Please let me know if this was an issue with older versions OR if there is some other way to fix it. Thanks!!

Hi, Here’s our demo page: http://vcpreview.com/page-examples/full-height-page/ and video works perfect for me (FF and Chrome).

You should be safe to update VC in your theme. Theme authors should use our inner api to extend modify Visual Composer, if they modify core then it’s a bad practice and should be avoided (in our opinion).

Hi,

I got visual composer with my theme and now I have one simple question. I use tabs, and I need to select an active tab when page loads (for example if tabs name are 1,2,3,4,5… I need when the page loads tab number 3 to be displayed/active). Is that possible?

I tried to use something like this #tab-1432658873780-3-5 but when page loads it goes on bottom of the page (my tab stays active but visitors see bottom of the page, page scrolls down).

Any help?

I tried that, but I cann’t find that option. Don’t know why. I have VC 4.5.3 version… Maybe it’s possible only in newer version?

Yes indeed, you are using older Tab version. Please make sure to use latest VC version.

From path that your provided I understand empty space element output is overridden by your theme. So only your theme’s author can help you out with that.

Hello,

after updating to v4.7 and trying to edit a Text block I don’t see the text I entered in Visual mode. If I change editor to Text mode I can see the text entered (and no HTML text color modification can be found there)

I have “Use custom design options” enabled, but it was not modified for months and the problem only appeared today. I re-saved “Design options” tab’s content but it didn’t solve the problem.

What can it be? Thanks

I found that the problem doesn’t always exists. I haven’t experienced it when only text existed in the Text block, but I have experienced where there were a WP link or a Tablepress table shortcode inserted into the Text block, besides the invisible text.

I got Visual Composer with my theme, but recently it stated looking all wonky. see http://i.imgur.com/kjS7yMB.jpg I thought maybe it was a plugin so I disabled all plugins except VC, but nothing.

Any Idea why this would be happing? I use X-theme by the way.

How come we can’t limit the number of words in the Post grid excerpt? Is there a separate filter we can use for that? We’re using the filter found on WP Codex.

Hi, VC grid excerpt is using value defined by WP. So you should change default excerpt length.

Hi, currently you can control paging animation in and out, but there is no option to control initial animation.

Hi, Visual Composer works with any properly coded theme – properly coded means coded according to WordPress codex. If theme does not follow these standards it can be considered as poorly coded.

i wonder if the page break from wordpress not working well with visualcomposer? everytime i put an <!~~-nextpage~~-> the next pages tag vicual composer is appearing like… [/vc_column_text] ... unopened tag, is there any solution for this?

Hi, nextpage just cuts page into sections so it cuts shortcodes as well, this is why it is not working. Currently there is no solution available for this one. What you could do is maybe use Pageable Container element which was added to VC in 4.7

Hello, thanks for pointing out – forwarded this to our devs to check. Nevertheless if you set border width to some values it works ok. As for second question: did you set row to be full width in row param window?

Hello, we haven’t removed Design Option tab in text element. Maybe some VC addon or theme disable it. Try to disable all addons and maybe change theme to see if it appears. If not, then you will need to open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com and share site credentials for our support team to check.

Hi. In short some recent update made everything not working. That is I cannot edit any block. I click edit, nothing happens. I click add, it gets added but I cannot edit it. Have latest Chrome, disabled all plugins, nothing. Tried in firefox, chrome, IE, nothing. No error, nothing. What can I do to have it back working ?

Also I have to mention that the “settings” button on page edit does not work. I am now using backend editor.Using frontend the buttons are working bnut I did notice that the edit window appeared somewhere very far downscreen, with just the top 5-6 pixels of it showing.

Hi! VC was included with my theme, and I love how easy it is to use with the backend editor…except one thing. One some of my parallax sections, the text needs to be white – which means I see only space in the editor – and it gets very confusing as to what I am moving where. If in the back end editor, the text could be a consistent colour no matter what colour it is on the ‘front end’, that would be so incredibly helpful!

Also, I am wondering if you have any tips to help me with the front end editor…when I try to drag and element to a new location, it is impossible for me to get any precision – the screen scrolls too far and i can’t seem to move an element up or down one or two spaces. I am using chrome, and have had the same experience both with my PC and my Mac. As it is, I can’t use the front end editor.

Hi, thanks for nice words. As for your comments: I like idea about text and I will rise this question in our team meeting. As for frontend – it looks like that you may have older version of VC which is not compatible with latest WP – please make sure you have latest VC version installed, if not please update.

i bought the plugin about 3 days ago, everything was workign perfectly fine and now it just stays loading wheneve ri try to edit apage with it. infinite loading and it just doesnt work.

Hi, this may be due to some JS conflict with 3rd party plugin. Try to disable all other plugins and see if VC works normally, if yes, activate them one by one to determine which one causes conflict. Hi, I use your great plugin in the theme « Brick » from Themeforest and after an update of my homepage, the editor won’t appear. I can’t switch the editor (HTML mode, Back office…) and I can’t work on my page. I tried to activate the previous revision of my page but it nothing change. - The console display :
