Hi,
Bought a theme today, wich came with VC.
After working with VC for almost a day, I got this problem (at forum VC is bundled with another theme, http://bit.ly/1hl4tdm).
“Visual composer is only showing a little over half of each web page, so I am unable to edit anything after that point. There is an error (URIError: malformed URI sequence) in the console on the edit page. I have emailed both the theme developer and the Visual Composer developer, and both are blaming each other and neither will help. I am stuck!”
What to do?
Hi, first of all please make sure you are using latest version of VC – 4.7 currently. If not, please do update. If the problem still exists you will need to apply for support – as received within a theme you will need to ask your theme author to look into this. If you wish to access official WPBakery support you will need to consider purchasing direct license for VC as access to support is for direct customers only.

Are there any instructions of how to correctly create a ‘Row Id’ and then link to it from a main menu link…...im trying to create a one page web design?
Hi, I will book this one to be added as tutorial. As for now – go into row param window and enter any ID you wish (of course stick to letters and numbers and avoid spaces). Make sure your ID is unique in terms of your site. After that you can simply add ID to your link to link directly like: yoursite.com/page#your_id

Hello, in terms of licenses we rely on Envato and currently they do not allow multiuse license so for each site of yours you will need to have 1 separate license.

Hey guys, about to get crazy here! We a license on your product through buying the Total Wordpress Theme wich comes with your plugin on it. We started creating a site for a client on a test wordpress we have in magma.ag/demo1 and when were close to finish it we migrated it into the clients domain exertsrl.com.ar When we migrated it using Duplicator the hole site worked properly but when doing ANY change on the design through the Visual composer elements (both yours and the ones developed by the theme author) the hole site buttons broke down. That was on the clients URL (exertsrl.com.ar) so I was sort of calm as I had our test site as a backup. Today I started polishing the lats design details on our test site (magma.ag/demo1) understanding that if the plugin brakes down after migration I should have the site totally functional and finished before doing that. When started working on the test site exactly the same happened. If I do ANY, i do mean ANY, design change, from adding a few padding pixels on a row of changing a font type or whaetever every button on the entire site brakes down. We have told our client that the site was ready and now we don’t have that many answers to give. I understand that this might be on the theme side but it is specifically your plugin (that supports actually almos the hole site) wich brakes down. Tried by erasing the plugin folder via FTP and uploading it again, tried by erasing every other plugin installed and brakes down, I am really out of ideas here. Please, I would really appreciate if you could lend ame a hand here.

Hello, it looks like some styles didn’t load there. First please make sure you are using latest version of Visual Composer. Also did you installed any other plugins recently which may cause conflict? Try to disable all other plugins and see if everything is ok, if yes, activate them one by one to determine which one causes conflict. If none of this gives results you will need to apply for support. As received within a theme you will need to ask your theme author to take a look at it or if you wish to use WPBakery support you will need to consider purchasing direct license as support access is for direct customers only.

Hello, Visual Composer works with any properly coded theme – properly coded means coded according to official WordPress codex guidelines. 99.9% of all themes follow these guidelines so there should be clearly no problems to use VC with them.

Hello, in terms of licenses we rely on Envato and currently they do not offer multiuse license. Right now you will need 1 license per each project where you want to use VC.

Hello I want to use this plugin on our WordPress Multi-site Network Platform. So If I simply purchase and use it , will it work for my multi-site environment on virtual multi-sites? And please confirm If I have to pay anything extra for it besides what is its selling price.
Hi, in general VC works with multisite network without problems. As for licensing – it depends on the purpose of your network. I would recommend to compare your platform goals with ones described in Envato license to be 100% sure which license type you require.

Hello, could you please elaborate? It may be so that you are referring to some custom made element “Booking Form” which was added either by your theme author or 3rd party addon for VC. If so I would recommend consulting with the theme author as he should have more information on modification options of this element.

Hello, recently I purchased a license of your plugin, but after that I purchased the 7.2 theme, which includes your plugin. So I deleted the plugin that I installed directly, and installed the plugin version contained inside the theme. However whenever trying to activate the license on another wordpress website (where the theme doesn’t include your plugin), it keeps saying that the license is already activated on another website. Is there any way to get this undone?

Hi, right now there is no such option in settings – for now you can use either text or icon. What you can do is extend VC by using our API described at kb.wpbakery.com, but please take into account that this will require coding skills.

Hi thanks for your answer. I think everybody here aimed to satisfy their customers,earn money and live well. I do believe that Ultimatum team is “fair”, like I am, and many others, because I work with them since three years. The problem raised here is that such debate will impact on our final clients! And will this discussion start also with teams like Rockytheme (Nimva) or Teslatheme (Unik), just to mention those ones. I mean, are we in danger that some legal points could suddenly stop the update and support for VC in themes we use? Or have you different licencing with different team ? This is more that “pure speculations and fact changes”, I will no go directly into the discussion you have with Ultimatum, but we do need to no if it’s a risk for us graphic designers to use themes using VC and sold along with them ! Hello, I can affirm that it is not going to impact any of customers – either Visual Composer or Ultimatum. Whatever is the situation between two parties we believe it must not involve/affect end users in any way and they must receive all they have been promised. There is definitely no risk in having themes with VC packed – theme authors have their mechanism on how to manage updates and support. Moreover – we work on having even better compatibility/integration options with themes and this is important part of our job here at WPBakery.

I will believe you that all my clients won’t have any problems with updates (for me, I also forgot Theme X on two sites, and all the many plugins working on yours), this is very important because it was really a concern when I heard of those licencing issues.
Well, I really hope all this will be soon forgotten because your product has really high quality and value. I also hope you will find a peaceful, lasting solution with the guys at Ultimatum (and other authors just in case), I (we, with other users) have a lot of sites in production and I will be reassured. Anyway, such discussions are never good for business…

I have purchased a few licenses of your product for projects I have been involved with. I have also a license of ultimatum theme that I have used on a few projects that were appropriate.
I like your application but I do not like this drama surrounding you and ultimatum theme. I had planned to continuing to use both of your products, purchasing licenses here when we did not need a full theme and using ultimatum theme when required.
I read the entire thread here https://ultimatumtheme.com/envato-licensing-and-bully-authors-backed-by-envato/ and it disgusts me. I recognize that this was one side of the story. I feel compelled to mention that when I had read the extended license terms some time ago would have felt they were within the terms. I have not read the terms recently.
From my, end user perspective I can just say this. It really makes me not want to work with either of you any longer. The ones who are going to loose in the end are your customers. I apologize to post this here but I feel all customers should understand the ugliness that is happening.

Hello, if we refer to top example – with Visual Composer you can use 2 grid elements separated in 2 columns and adjust design of grid item by using Grid Builder which is a part of Visual Composer. For now it will take some time so we are considering on how to make building of such grids in a more easy way.

Hi, When installed on a non-latin wordpress, all fonts goes wrong and meaningless except the English ones. It ruins all the wordpress installation. Some characters you can test are: ???? ??? ??? ???
it seems that code canyon also has problem with not-latin characters ! you may have not latin characters by going to google translate and translate a word into Persian or Arabic. Best regards.

Folks, Revolution Sliders are not showing up in FrontEnd Edit mode since updating WP to v4.3 and Revolution Slider to version 5. It was working prior to both version updates so trying to rule out any Composer problem in case you can offer advice please. Thanks, Jeff

Hello, VC does not have inbuilt auto-save. Auto-save can be managed by WordPress itself. You should look into wp-config file and change AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL value.
