I have an issue with Visual Composer from a theme I brought. When I try and use the frontend editor, it hangs and I get an error saying $vc_row_el.parent(...).sortable is not a function in file /wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/js/frontend_editor/vc_page_editable.js?ver=4.6.2
It is referring to this code:

Hello, haven’t experienced such problem on our end. I would recommend you asking your theme author to take a look at it as it may be so that theme author extended some part of VC which could affect it. If this is not the case – theme author could cooperate with our support team to solve this issue asap.

Hello, when i enter the Visual composer beckend, in the product section, i can work. However, i can’t see anything in the fr5ont end when i work in the backend. Also if i enter direkty in the front end section, it is totally blocked and it doesn’t let me work. What can i do?

Hi, I got VC with the BeTheme.
I have a problem. Suddenly VC started to act crazy. I can’t see all created content at the backend editor, even though it still shows up on the front end.
End the backend visual text suddenly turned to messed up sings. Look at the attachment below:

Is it possible to have both a background row color AND a background row image (at the same time for one row)?
In CSS it might look like: background: #f0ede2 url(’/wp-content/uploads/background-image.png’) no-repeat top center;

Hi, in Design Options you can actually add background image and background color, of course background image should be transparent at some places so you can see bg color. In addition you can even add parallax background image – then you will have 3 levels: bg color, bg image and parallax bg image.

I was trying to send a support ticket, but could not because I got Visual Composer bundled with a theme (Shopkeeper) and didn’t have a purchase code for VC alone.
I ask my question here instead:
How comes tabs and accordions are in my list of deprecated elements in VC?. They seems to have been added not so long ago (ver 4.6) and they even got some new custom CSS in ver 4.6.2 according to the changelog.
Hi, official support is available only for direct customers in your case you should either contact theme author or consider purchasing direct license for VC. As for your question – in deprecated list there are old tabs, tours, accordions. But in Element list there are new tabs, tours, accordions – if for some reason they are not there I would recommend asking your theme author to take a look at it.

Hi, content elements have option to centre it. If some elements do not have such option then to overcome it you can add extra class name to them and refer to custom css, but please take into account that it will require some css knowledge.

Hi,
I am using VC bundled with the theme i bought. I have a question around creating and editing templates.
I have several pages on my website with a button on each page. The button on each page links to a different destination.
I have added the button to Templates in VC and on every new page, i choose the saved template and add it. The styling etc. is well preserved. However, i do not see an option to edit the template added to VC so that the edited version gets updated on every page that uses the template (button with different links on each page), while keeping the different hyperlinks valid.
How can i change, for example, color of the button and have it reflected on each page where i have added the button using the template?
I explored your Templatera addon but that doesn’t seem to be a solution because Templatera creates global content. Which means i can not have different hyperlinks attached on each page.
Could you please let me know how can i create editable templates using VC?

Hi, there is Templatera addon which allows editing template at one place but affecting all places where it is added, nevertheless there is no such option with having custom links. As a workaround I could think of adding one class name to button and then with JS look for action for this button and provide specific link depending on page where button is located.

I current use a bundled version of VC from a theme i have bought.
What i was wondering is it possible to style a pie charts value & title (widget title)?
As i’m only able to add one extra class and adding a class to style the text color doesn’t work for both.
Hi, you can add extra class name and then refer to it or you can point straight to specific class name as well in Custom CSS.

I am using Visual Composer with the Cobalt theme. I am having trouble with the FlexSlider in the image gallery. Is there any way to show portrait photos? I’ve seen plenty of sliders on other websites that have the ability to do this. Am I missing something?
I have many portrait photos and really don’t want to bring them all to photoshop to get white on the sides.

Hi, I would suggest you look into Media Grid or Masonry Media Grid for display or images – with grid elements you can not only make grid, but also quickly replicate gallery view and add pagination to it. As for FlexSlider issue – we rely on native way on how FlexSlider work and do not change its behaviour in any way.

I’m having issues formatting text in a text block. I can’t create a line break. I’ve tried using a non-breaking space and
in text/html mode, but neither will give me a line break! Any ideas how I can add a line break in my paragraph?
I even tried to do your solution, to no avail. When you write text in text block try hitting shift+break(enter) this doesn’t work. Nothing seems to work on text, visual or hard coded it in.

Hi, thanks for the great plugin! I’m wondering about licensing – I see options for a single site and options for packaging the plugin with a theme. Is there a license for multiple or unlimited sites (but not for packaging with a theme?). I’d like to include VC on some of my client sites, and wondering if I can purchase one big license to cover them all, or if there is a discount for bulk purchasing. However, I do not need to package this with a theme, so I’m not sure what the appropriate license to purchase is. Can you advise? Thanks!
Hi, in terms of licensing we rely on Envato and currently they do not offer multiuse license so you will need one license per each site you want to use VC.

I notice that on the front-end of my site (to users), your CSS and JS are getting loaded. Why? Isn’t this only needed for the back-end?

Hi, Visual Composer has its own elements which has JS and of course CSS so to have those elements properly displayed it is required to load JS and CSS files on the public part.

Hello! I’m using the Post grid element on my site which loads a custom post type I’ve created. I have a custom taxonomy in these posts, and would like to show a filter of those above the grid. But I haven’t been able to figure out how to do that. Could you help me? Thank you.
Hi, right now filters use categories. Currently there is no straight way to use other taxonomy there, but this is a good point. I will add it to our Backlog for consideration. As for now you can extend VC through our API described at kb.wpbakery.com, but please take into account that this is custom solution and will require good coding skills.

I have a copy of VC through TheFox WP theme. I have an issue with Raw HTML elements – when ever I user them they display corrupt looking symbols and break the visibility of any elements below it.
For example, add a row, add HTML, add code, Save, then the preview of the element displays a line of random symbols and characters (what you would expect to see when something character encoding is wrong or something)
Also, if add a text element and save, it adds an empty text element to every empty space in the row.
I’ve trying breaking down everything – plugins, themes, any custom code… it still does it. I’m using the latest version.
Have you ever come across this?
Sorry, just seen other messages above from @hardsignal and others. Same problem here, as well as the extra elements it adds to the rows after saving. Let me know if you need more detail on that. Waiting for your update….
