use case would be building a single page that has https for form entry – we would like to build entire page and then show modal for form and have https in browser – if we use your builder to create parallax background for rows or have a carousel the images are all being loaded as http not https since your image links must use home url as the default protocol – would be great if ANY media element could be loaded with an external URL – that way you could use CDN for parallax background without all the CDN nonsense

Hello good morning.
I’m trying to use the post grid to show posts of one category and it is working fine. The problem is that when I mark one post as private, in that moment the post dissapear even when I am logged in. Am I configuring something wrong?

I’ve solved that problem. I opened and ticked and they responsed, very quickly by the way, that this component doesn’t support private post. Finally I used another plugin to admin the privacy. In that way I am able to use the component and I make some post and pages only visible for certain users.
The plugin is: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-access-manager/. You only have to create a new user group and asign to the user that you want. After that you assign the same group to the post or pages that you want to make private, the status of the page can be public.

I created music custom post type with taxonomy and added test post. I can see my added music post under mydomain/music also can see mydomain.com/music/test-music-post-1.
But aother page, i am using visual composer such as post grid or etc. Dont show music post types on this page. I can see my new custom post name music checkbox on visual composer. But dont show on page. Using Custom POst Type UI…

Hi, I bought Dejure Responsive WP Theme which includes Visual Composer Versión 4.5.1 and it shows a the following error while using button 2 “You are using outdated element, it is deprecated since version 4.5.”. I checked on the plugins page and it says it’s updated but on Visual Composer site it`s showing current version is 4.6.2. How can I manually update the plugin?
Hi, if you got VC within a theme there is no option to update directly – as this is for direct customers of VC only. In your case you should either ask your theme author to update VC on their side and push it to you or consider purchasing direct license for VC.

I’m finding that Accordions, Tabs and Tours on Safari (using v8.0.7) really jumpy and not smooth at all. I see that someone else here commented about this issue over 20 days ago. Any ideas when/how to fix this?

Hi,
I see that the jumpy animation for Accordions, Tabs and Tours on Safari has been fixed on 4.7 update. However, the animation still isn’t really smooth (compared to deprecated version) and what’s worse, it now occasionally cuts out most of the content when you click/cycle through the tabs/tours etc. Sometimes it takes 10+ clicks tabs to see this broken layout, other times it occurs more often. This bug appears on my site as well as your demo site. I’ve taken a screenshot to show you what I mean:

Hi, Yeah we had some problems in safari and spent quite some time fixing it (safari exception). Also, I couldn’t repeat problem that you are referring to, I just spent last few minutes clicking the tabs like crazy, but with no luck.

This disappearing content is happening for me (Mac) on Chrome (v45) and Safari (v8.07). Using Firefox v34 it was cutting out every few clicks. But after updating FF to v40 I can’t replicate the issue. So it seems to be Safari and Chrome on Mac at the moment.

The “Raw HTML” element is displaying wonky characters in the editor and i’m missing entire rows that use raw html element. I’ve added a link to a screen capture of what i’m seeing in my editor.

I’ve tried the usual route of disabling all plugins to find conflicts, i found no issue this way.

When i look the same code in Classic mode it is displayed as Base 64
as an FYI this all started after WP uppgrade to 4.3. your plugin worked fine before upgrade.

Can i use VC with WP-Client? I have it installed and the only page that I cannot add VC to is the HUB page template. Any ideas how to get this to work?
Hi, please make sure that HUB page template is developed in form of custom post types as VC works with pages, posts and custom post types with content area defined. If this is not custom post type there won’t be option to use VC there, but we are looking on how to enable this in future.

I use VC which came with the Envato Theme I use. Though the developper of the theme regularly update the theme as well as the VC version, sometimes it takes several months before VC is updated. In order to be able to update faster I just have bought my own license of VC. Unfortunately I now realise that I cannot install VC on my main site and on my work-site which is installed on a subdomain of my site. This subdomain is a almost 100% mirror of the main site. This is where I can first safely test the site or every change I want to make. This subdomain is also not online. Is there a way in this case to activate VC on both the main domain and the subdomain without having to buy a second license?

Hi, with one license VC can be activated on one site only so if you want both sites to have licensed/activated versions you will need to consider having 2 licenses for VC. On the other side you can work on your localhost while testing then it won’t require license.

Hi, if you got VC within a theme there is no license key for VC – this means you can use VC with this theme only without activating it, but can not get direct updates or use official WPBakery support. To unlock those features you need to consider purchasing direct license.

Hi, I need some help with Visual Composer. It doesnt give me the HTML code and is stuck in the vc_mode all the time. This has caused me not to be able to run SEO on the page as this doesnt allow page to be indexed. How and what do I do? Im using the WPBakery Visual Composer Version 4.6.2 and Yoast Version 2.3.4.

Hi, it looks like there are brackets missing in your example [ ] As it looks like you got VC within a theme I would recommend asking theme author as maybe there is some problem with shortcode proper display.

Hi, you can use Custom CSS to overwrite this element if there is extra class name available for this element. Search form is not default VC element and seems to be added by your WP theme author so I would recommend getting more information from theme author on this one as well.

Hi there,
I’m using VC on posts. Some of the text boxes have had a background and padding added, which appears fine on the single post page but the CSS doesn’t get shown on the site index or category pages.
As a workaround I’ve had to create a specific class for the text boxes, which does show fine, but I don’t want to have to create a class for every instance of element based customisation I need to do.
Is there a way for these custom CSS changes to be shown on the index and category pages?
Website here: http://www.adventurish.com, for testing I’ve added a colour of #f6f6f6 to the first grey text box (you can see that rule using inspector when you’re on the single post page but NOT when you’re on the site index).
Hi, as VC works only with pages, posts and custom post types which has content area defined there is no way to control index or category pages through VC. Nevertheless we are looking into this direction in the future.

Hello, it looks like you are referring to some custom element of VC which was added by your WP theme author or 3rd party addon. I would recommend to contact element author directly to get more information on modification.

Hi, I am using the Media Grid to display a set of logos. I do not want them to be clickable (no opening lightbox and no opening in new window). I have used this code to disable the lightbox, but the logos are still clickable and displaying in a new window when clicked. function vc_prettyPhoto() { /* nothing here */ }

Hi, in Grid Builder under Norma/Hover Section params where you set “Use featured image on background?” Make sure you have None under “Add link”.

I’m a recent customer of VC and need to use the video background on a row. seems simple enough but the height of the row either cuts off the video if I dont select full height or stretches it ridiculously large vertically if I select full height. I have the video exactly the width of the column it wish to place it inside but need to be able to specify the height of the row and not let VC stretch or compress or cut it off. Any ideas how to simply “ENTER ROW HEIGHT”?
Hi, there is no mechanism to define specific height for row currently. Also please take into account that on different devices content will look different in height so background video is usually stretched.

thank you for the response. I hope you guys fix that soon. maybe it’s just me but it seems pointless to have a video background that will never ever look right unless it’s abstract only and you cant tell it’s distorted.
