If you can add the ability to link TAGS to GROUPS in your next version, you will have an even more amazing product!!! By being able to link tags to groups we can then assign the same item to different portfolios, each one with its own unique filters. Right now if I want two portfolios with two different sets of filters I need to replicate the same item with different tags.

I am having diffculties implementing changes to the styles. My problem is that I am adding the code to my theme’s style.css and the plugin’s style seems to override the changes.
Am I supposed to make the changes directly in the plugin’s syle.css then? My understanding is that it would be better not to do it that way. Or am I missing something here???

You should check specificity of CSS rules applied to some element using Wep Ispector in your browser. Or you can just assign ”!important” to any rule to increase its priority. However, better than doing this just start every CSS rule with ID of portfolio or viewport, like so
/* portfolio grid and filters */
#colio_your_portfolio .selector {}
/* colio viewport */
#colio_viewport_your_portfolio .selector {}
replace “your_portfolio” ID with what you set in [colio] shortcode

I just purchased the plugin and downloaded it. I tried to install and it failed.
Looked at the zip file and I noticed that in it is has a colio.zip dated July 31/2015 and a bunch of other files. Should I just unzip the colio.zip and ignore the other files?
Please correct the download zip file so it works for other buyers right away!

I have 50 or so projects I want to display in a filtered grid/portfolio But I need TWO portfolios, each one with its own grouping of filters (one portfolio is to group projects by industry, the second one by topic)
Can this be done with Colio or are we limited to a single portfolio?

Hi! Yes, you can do this. You can group items (Colio->Items) and then select which group to display in certain portfolio. You can have multiple portfolios on your website.

Hi! Please go to WP Admin and in Settings -> Permalinks click Save Changes. This should fix your problem.
Pre-sale question: is there a way to filter multiple categories per request? Almost like taxonomy, for example, user able to filter everything that is RED (category 1) and also in RECTANGULAR shape (category 2), can your plugin do this ?

Hi! The reason is that with “inside” viewport placement when you click filters it breaks layout. So I made filters not visible to prevent this issue. If you use before/or after placement then I can explain what to change to make filters menu always visible.

Hi and sorry for late reply! Well, it’s better to keep filters menu hidden as in “inside” placement mode clicking on another filter when viewport is open may can cause problems. If however you use “before” or “after” placement it’s ok to keep filters always visible. JS code to hide/show filters you can find in wp-content/plugins/colio/init.js file (onExpand & onCollapse callbacks)
Can I use this to filter paragraphs of TEXT on a page? say if I assign a different category for each paragraph, but no image involved.
For example, say if I have a Magazine theme, and on a page I have all these headline news broken down by different categories:
Business – interest rate will rise…..
Travel- most affordable vacation for the family…..
Business- economy grows….
Cooking- catering for the budget conscious consumer….
Business- mortgage rate will rise in 2016
Travel- GPS that follows your luggage worldwide…
Entertainment- biggest box office movie ever….
Cooking- celebrity chefs…
And on the page, readers can click the main category such as BUSINESS or TRAVEL or COOKING etc and the text will filter based on the selection.

Hello! I think this is not possible with Colio. For what you need you better search for another plugin.
Is there a way to disable the viewport? I have the projects on my homepage and I want the “View project” button to link directly to the portfolio item page. I do not see the setting to accomplish this. Thanks.
Hi! This is not possible without changes in code. You should disable certain features, like viewport and revert Colio Item post template to default view.

Great plugin! Unfortunately I have a problem with using the wordpress audio player within the colio viewport. It seems to be hidden! When using firebug and searching for “audio”, it just gives me “element.style” with “visibility: hidden”. What can I do to get this to work?

I updated colio with last version and since then we cannot open anymore or view the content via the link of the post. We get “Oops! “portfolio_id” query argument is missing”. Even when we don’t use the seo link but just the id we still get the same error message. Also, FYI, i saved again permalink but it didn’t change anything.

Hi! Sorry for delay with reply. If you have updated Colio by reinstalling plugin in WP admin, then you mighty have lost its settings. So please go to Colio -> Settings and make sure that your portfolios exist.

Update: I deactivated and reactivated all of my plugins a couple times and now it’s working perfectly!
This is common issue that I have mentioned already few times in comments. You just have to go to Settings -> Permalinks and click “save changes”

I just installed Colio and I’ve been testing it out before I make it live on my site – I’m having a couple of issues.
Firstly, the featured image for an item just isn’t showing up, and secondly, if I do click the title/description that is showing on the portfolio, it just loads forever and will not open the viewer window.
What can I do?

Thanks for contacting me! Regarding the second question. You just need to go to Settings -> Permalinks and click “Save changes”. As for featured images. They are used to generate portfolio grid thumbs, but they didn’t show up automatically as you open specific item. If you want to display image in viewport, you should insert it into folio item content or use “Extra Photos” custom fields to upload images for gallery or photo feed.

Just updated the plugin to V2.2 and now it shows a blank screen when clicked the button “View Details”. See here http://www.lachampagnerie.ca/galerie/
And in the console we see this error “TypeError: jQuery.easing[jQuery.easing.def] is not a function”
Also for the extra photos, we can upload many photos from the computer by selecting multiple items at a time but when we try to chose from the Media Library, it’s the same old way to select one image and insert into post for each of them. Can it be simple so that we can select multiple images from the Media Library as well ?

But I noticed that Extra Photo thumbs are loading pretty slow. That’s because they are full size images, instead of thumbs. Please install “Regenerate Thumbnails” WP plugin and run it.
new colio version is not compatible with WPBakery Visual Composer. Filter not correcty. Help

I checked your site but I see no problems. WPBakery Visual Composer has nothing to do with filters menu, as it’s made of #tags that you assign to Colio items.
Please click on a filter and check later as articles appearing before and after do not correspond with the filter displayed in thumbnails. Thank you

I clicked filter called “Bolitas De Coco” and it showed me one item with no. 20504. I checked in page source and there is no other item that has this tag assigned. So I see no problems with how filters work.
