I am very interested in purchasing Visual Composer. The biggest question I have is how do I design mockups (Photoshop) to work within the constraints of Visual Composer. Are there any tutorials for this? Thank you!
Hi, Visual Composer does not have direct link with Photoshop. In general you should look into available elements and design by using them. Because of VC adapts to different WP themes there is no 100% UI elements as they may vary a bit depending on theme.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I am looking for more of a “best practices” workflow. The way our company works is our graphic designer designs the layouts and I integrate the layouts with our website. It sounds like in order to do this, both our graphic designer and myself need to be familiar with VC, correct?
Hi, I want to change the font size of my accordion titles. How can I do that? I added the following css to the custom css box but it did not work.

Hi, currently there is no such straight way to do so. Some workaround would be use Custom Fields there and display custom field in Grid – please check Grid Builder – there is Custom Field element and Advanced Custom Field element (if you have ACF installed).

Hi, Thanks for the awesome plugin. I am now trying to use the posts slider. Was wondering is there a way to use custom fields for its description or to use custom fields for this part at all?
Also for the post grid, can we make custom fields clickable/link as how you had done with buttons? Because I would like to make each of the blocks in the grid to have different CTA texts
Hi, thanks for kind words. As for Post Slider – this is a bit outdated element and I would suggest using Post Grid to replicate Post Slider. Regarding custom fields – by default there is no option to add link there so you will need to consider extending Grid Builder with your own shortcodes, nevertheless this requires custom coding and good coding skills.

Figured out a way as suggested by you. Was wondering for Post Grid, filterable content by meta value ( does that suggest custom fields? )
I have inserted all custom fields with same name for every pages, but I was not able to make it sorted by that ASC.
For example custom fields is called “displaycustomfeatured” with the value “featured”. The otherwise would be called “nonfeatured”. It cant be sorted by ASC. Do you have any idea?

You have an bug on 4.6 with default value for non vc shortcodes. If you don’t change the default value that parameter will not be inserted in text editor and shortcodes may not function right.

Hi, if you are interested about licensing – for one site you require to have one regular license of VC. If you have 2 sites you will need 2 regular licenses and so on.

I cannot get VC to work for posts or the custom post type I have created. I followed the video and checked both posts and the custom post type in the VC settings.
The VC buttons still do not appear for posts or custom post types. Any ideas?

Hi, in default version everything seems to be fine. Maybe there are some modifications made by your theme author. I would suggest asking your theme author to take a look at it or you can consider purchasing direct license for VC if you wish to access official support of WPBakery.

So in using the “post grid” i created a custom query: post_type=tribe_events&posts_per_page=6 This was working perfectly, but then suddenly stopped. I tried the custom query cat=1 and it worked fine, so I don’t know what is happening so that the events are not appearing. Hi there,
I’m looking to buy Visual Composer but I’ve heard about some serious lag on the Google Chrome browser in the backend editor. I’ve seen it myself on my friends website and it’s kind of a concern because I use Chrome as my main browser.
Is this issue going to be fixed soon? I’ve read comments where users have encountered the same problem.

Thanks for the quick reply! It usually occurs when exiting out of the settings popup. As soon as you save changes or close the popup, the scrolling fps becomes extremely low.
This plugin may have tons of huge benefits for WordPress but Holy F*k does it freeze 100% of the time. Every time I try to edit or add it freezes. Cannot explain the frustration I’m going through using this plugin. I even considering to purchase it to hope that it will improve performance but i’m on the latest version with the theme i recently purchased releasing it’s just shit. Again great concept and i hope one day it will have major performance fixes as right now its a living hell.
Hi, we are working on performance to make it run as fast as possible. Nevertheless under normal circumstances it should not be as slow as you described. Maybe your theme author can look into this – maybe there is some hidden problem.

Posts grid continues to be slow at loading. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got one post or 100 posts, it always has to ‘think’ about it before displaying anything. If you choose lazy loading or load more the same thing happens. I see loads of other comments in here about this issue. There must be a way for you to put in some code to just check for the first few blog posts and load them instantly. It appears to be running some complex checking system to run through all posts. The old, and now deprecated post grid, was instantaneous. Any thoughts or are you guys looking at improvements to it?

Hi – just like to say that the issue still remains. Posts Grid / Media grid is very slow loading with its first display. 4 months is plenty long to check into this – any progress yet?
Hi, I have VC integrated through a number of my themes.
I was wondering if there’s a way to modify the preloader for the advanced grid builder? I have a post grid set up, and it usually takes a few seconds for it to load. The 3 little circles appear, but they’re not super obvious, especially against my grey background.
So a.) my feature request is the ability to modify the preloader, and b.) is there a way I can change it in the interim? Even if it means a manual override by replacing the image… or if there’s a CSS class the references it. I took a quick look for the image but wasn’t able to find it.

Ok I found that .vc_grid-loading (with before and after states) is the controlling CSS.. just need to figure out how to change the color now

Hi, one question, Does the GRID ELEMENT works with Cache Plugins?
I have WP-Rocket in my WordPress, and everytime the page with GRID Element loads, looks like the GRID loads with Ajax. Is there a way to CACHE the page with GRID Element so the page loads quickier?

Hi, in the latest version of VC we have options to set row both – full width and full height so please make sure to update VC up to the latest. As received within a theme you should either ask your theme author to update VC on their side and push it to you or consider purchasing direct license for VC to unlock direct update option.

I would like to show some content I created in Visual Composer on the shop page of my Woocommere installation. I managed to get the text on my page but the custom CSS is nowhere loaded in the page.
Did the following: echo do_shortcode($post->post_content);
Which outputs all the correct visual composer row and column divs. My row has the following class: vc_custom_1436965534180
But the css attached to that class (the row should have a background color) is nowhere outputted in the html. Is there a way to trigger this manually?
